Public Test Server Update: Propagator Core XR-53 Changes and Fixes
We will be releasing a new Public Test Server (PTS) build today at 10am CT / 4pm UTC. Below are the XR-53 (Story Mode) changes that will be included in the build.
General
Propagator Core XR-53’s health has been reduced to 51M (down from 86M).
Abilities
Digestive Enzyme
Adjusted debuff duration to 20s (up from 15s).
Digestive Enzyme’s damage type is now Internal.
Digestive Enzyme’s per-stack ticking damage increased by 150%.
Acidic Rocketry
Cast time reduced to 1s (down from 2s).
Rocket travel time increased to 3s (up from 2s).
Propagator Core XR-53 will now be immobilized for 1s after completing the Acidic Rocketry Cast (was 2.5s).
Acidic Rocketry now only targets the four furthest players from the boss in the group, as opposed to all players.
Prepare for Harvest
Cast time reduced from 2s to 1s.
Propagator Core XR-53 will now be immobilized for 1.25s after completing the Prepare for Harvest cast (was 2.5s).
Prepare for Harvest projectile travel time reduced from 2s to 0.5s.
Extraneous Expulsion
Cast time reduced to 2.5s (down from 4s).
Fixed an issue where Extraneous Expulsion was dealing damage outside of its warning area.
Hungering Bite
Cast time reduced to 3s (down from 4s).
Fixed an issue where Hungering Bite was dealing damage outside of its warning area.
Lethal Strike
Lethal Strike has been rebalanced. It now gives three different debuffs based on the role of the struck target, each called “Softened Up”. DPS and Healers afflicted with this debuff will now have a looping effect to indicate that they are afflicted with it.
Tank: Lethal Strike deals 250% increased damage to the affected target. 45 second duration.
Healer: All outgoing healing reduced by 75%. 1 minute duration.
DPS: All outgoing damage reduced by 75%. 1 minute duration.
Prey Seekers
Cast time reduced to 1s (down from 3s).
Prey Seeker Droids will now indicate who they are going to jump towards before doing so in order to give players time to react.
Imperfect Fabrication
Added a new buff called “Imperfect Fabrication” to the Propagator Core XR-53 with the following description: “The Propagator Core XR-53 is following its programming, but what it creates isn’t perfect…” to indicate that the boss is producing Imperfect Constructs.
Imperfect Fabrication will now be inactive during the Prime Directive Phase of the encounter. Imperfect Fabrication will become active again after the Propagator Core XR-53 completes its Recovery Protocol.
Decreased the frequency of Imperfect Construct spawns. They now appear once every 15 seconds (down from once every 10 seconds).
Imperfect Constructs will now indicate who they are going to jump towards before doing so in order to give players time to react.
Prime Directive
Changed the color of the Prime Directive warning from red to orange to indicate caution instead of danger, as players should be aware that one of them needs to stand inside of it to avoid summoning the Mistaken Construct.
The Propagator Core XR-53 will now broadcast that it is looking for one final sample when it is casting its Prime Directive ability.
Adds
General
All adds will now spawn in the center of the arena, which should ensure that they are more visible to players regardless of their location in the arena.
Prey Seeker Droid
HP pool reduced to 155k (down from 310k).
A Prey Seeker Droid will now properly increase the Propagator Core XR-53's Harvested Materials count if its channel is successful.
Powerful Construct
Powerful Construct's Acidic Rocketry should no longer be reflectable.
Powerful Construct’s Explosive Finality should no longer be reflectable.
Imperfect Construct
HP pool reduced to 155k (down from 543k).
Fixed an issue where Imperfect Constructs would find multiple targets and jump to both instead of finding only one.
Imperfect Construct’s Imperfect Explosion should no longer be reflectable.
Mistaken Construct
HP pool increased to 30m (up from 552k).
Volatile Output now properly applies a Digestive Enzyme stack to all players when they are struck by the Ability.
Volatile Output now properly hits up to 8 targets instead of only hitting the closest 4.
Volatile Output’s base damage has been doubled.
Volatile Output should no longer be reflectable.

The Propogator Core XR-53 Lair Boss (Story Mode) is now available on the PTS!
The Lair Boss (Story Mode) has now been released onto the PTS!
Important notes for this current iteration of PTS for the Lair Boss:
Players can either fly to Ilum and walk through the phase door or use Group Activity Finder (this will be the only Encounter listed in that window).
The name of the Encounter is called Relentless Replication
Veteran Mode is currently blocked.
Trash mobs have not yet been implemented.
The final model for the boss has not yet been implemented.
As a reminder, there are PTS incentives that players can earn when they defeat the lair boss!
Lair Boss Incentives
To earn the First of Many Title, players must:
Defeat the Propagator Core XR-53 on Story Mode
To earn the First Among Veterans, players must:
Defeat the Propagator Core XR-53 on Veteran Mode (This mode will be available at a later date)
Players will be able to keep track of their progress as they unlock PTS Achievements, however, note that these incentives will be granted at 7.6 launch.
Game Update 7.6 content is rolling out onto the Public Test Server!
As announced in the 7.6 Public Test Server (PTS) video that was published last week, two new features will be coming to the PTS over the coming weeks. Below are all the details on the roll out schedule and the incentives tied to each.
Dynamic Encounters
Dynamic Encounters are coming to SWTOR in 7.6! As players explore Hoth and Tatooine, they'll notice a new type of Mission popping up on the map. Dynamic Encounters offer a variety of new adventures for players to experience, from rounding up escaped Bantha calves at the spaceport to defeating dangerous bosses or even helping a down-on-its-luck cantina band get back on the road. There are tons of Dynamic Encounters, and which missions are available will cycle throughout the day, giving these iconic planets brand new life.
In addition to these planetary Dynamic Encounters, players can participate in Hidden Chain Invasion Encounters. Heta Kol's forces are growing bold, staging assaults across several planets to secure resources for the Hidden Chain. These special Dynamic Encounters will only be available for a limited time as the Hidden Chain threatens the galaxy, so players will want to jump in and call upon their allies to help thwart their plans!
Dynamic Encounters can be played solo or in a group, and completing them will net players unique rewards and achievements, giving everyone a great reason to discover these planets all over again.
This feature debuts with PTS starting today!
Propagator Core XR-53
The second feature that players got a sneak peek of last week is info on the new lair boss, the Propagator Core XR-53, and its level design. XR-53 can be found on Ilum as it was once a part of the Emperor’s Fortress that crashed during the Battle of Ilum. This feature will debut in Story Mode next week with Veteran to follow at a later time.

PTS Incentives
As mentioned in the 7.6 PTS video, we are bringing back previously released PTS incentives and a few new ones! Here is the breakdown on what players need to do in order to obtain past and new incentives!
Dynamic Encounter Incentives
To earn the Cutting Edge Title and Kai Zykken’s MK-85 Log Mount, players must:

When will the PTS open?
The PTS is open now and players can get a first look into Dynamic Encounters today! Story Mode for XR-53 will be released next week with Veteran to follow in the weeks after. As always, the PTS sub-forums will be the space where we will be gathering feedback on these two new features.
Eric Musco announced in the PTS video that we will also be hosting a livestream going over all of the features coming in 7.6 in November. It will be at this time that more content will be released on the PTS for players to check out.
In short, players will have more than a month to experience new content and obtain the PTS incentives.

The “Best View in SWTOR” Contest has returned for 2024!

We are back with our fourth Best View in SWTOR contest! As with previous years, we’re looking forward to all the creative shots our players will be submitting. Starting today, players can submit screenshots taken anywhere on five select SWTOR locations. We’ll choose the screenshot that we feel captures the essence of that environment, so get creative! One winner will be chosen per location for a total of five winning submissions.
The winning submissions will then be turned into Stronghold decorations and distributed by the Anniversary event vendor in-game! The five eligible locations for this contest are:

How to Enter
If you’re interested in participating in this contest, you can enter by submitting your screenshots to contests@swtor.com. You’re more than welcome to submit a screenshot for multiple locations, but please limit all submissions to only one location per email, and please only submit one image per location. All image submissions must follow certain guidelines:
No Player Characters in screenshot
NPCs are allowed
The in-game UI needs to be turned off.
The default command for this is Alt+Z
This includes having nameplates turned off.
Screenshots of cinematics do NOT qualify.
No additional editing done to screenshots. For example, no filters added or editing done by external tools.
Camera settings must be within intended in-game parameters.
This means not using external tools or editing game files to exceed in-game settings.
Graphics settings at Very High or Ultra
Image Size: 1920x1080 or higher resolution
The team will crop the chosen screenshots to a 4:3 format.

In addition to those image requirements, we ask that your email include the following information:

Rules and Regulations
Players have from now until October 20, 2024 to submit their screenshots! In addition to the above mentioned criteria and required information, there are a few additional rules players must follow in order for their submission to qualify:
Qualifying accounts must have been created by September 1, 2024.
Accounts need to have a clean standing, both in-game and on the forum.
No record of in-game suspension since September 4, 2023.
No forum suspensions since July 1st, 2024.
Character names must abide by our ToS rules.
Screenshot submissions without the required information (Account name, Character name, and Server name) provided in the same email as the screenshot will be rejected.
Each account is limited to one submission per location.
If you want to submit a screenshot for each eligible location, please send a separate submission per location.
Submission emails that have more than one image attached will be disqualified.
Email subject lines must follow the “The Best View In SWTOR Contest - [insert location name] Submission” format.
Failure to adhere to the above guidelines will result in your submission being rejected. In the event that several people submit the same, or very similar, screenshots, the screenshot submitted first will be selected as the winner, so don’t wait to email us!
Results Announcement
After the SWTOR team selects the winning submissions, we’ll publish an article announcing the winners before our upcoming 2024 Anniversary event. In this announcement, we’ll reveal the winning screenshots, and credit each player (Character Name / Server) who submitted a winning screenshot.
While the winners are credited outside of the game, they will receive something special in SWTOR; a gilded version of the screenshot they submitted! While the normal versions will be available to everyone via the Anniversary event vendor as soon as the event starts in December, the gilded versions will be distributed shortly after the event starts.

4. Entry Judging. At the close of the Contest Period, qualified employees of Broadsword and Lucasfilm Ltd., or their Agents will evaluate the eligible Entries and select five (1 for each location) potential winners according to the following skill-based criteria: 50% Accurately captures the theme of the loation that is being captured (this criterion is a tiebreaker), 30% Is a pleasing image to look at, 20% Complexity.
5. Winner Notification. Broadsword will announce the winners in an article on SWTOR News (https://www.swtor.com/info/news).
If a potential winner is disqualified, or the prize is forfeited for any reason, Broadsword will award that prize, time permitting given the nature of the prize, to an alternate winner using the skill-based criteria set forth above from all remaining eligible Entries. Only 3 alternate winners will be selected for any location.
6. To Claim a Prize. If you are selected as a winner, you will receive your prize via in-game mail on the SWTOR account, Character Name and Server you provided in your Entry email submission. This prize can only be used in-game, will only be associated with your Character and SWTOR Account, and is not transferable. Deletion or deactivation of your SWTOR Account for any reason will result in loss of the prize.

To the extent allowable under applicable law and, in Australia, subject to and without excluding, restricting or modifying any rights or remedies to which you may be entitled as a consumer under the consumer guarantee provisions of the Australian Consumer Law in relation to the operation of the Promotion and any prize won, you agree to release Broadsword, Electronic Arts, and its Agents, officers, directors, and employees (the “Released Parties”) from any legal claims, including without limitation claims related to personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property arising out of participation in the Contest, or receipt, use, or misuse of any prize, except for residents of the United Kingdom and France with respect to claims resulting from death or personal injury arising from Broadsword’s negligence and for residents of the United Kingdom with respect to claims resulting from the tort of deceit or any other liabilities that may not be excluded by law.
For residents of Austria, Germany, Poland, Switzerland: By participating in this Promotion, you acknowledge: (1) In regard to a prize or any other products or services offered by Broadsword and/or its affiliates free of charge, Broadsword shall only be liable for intent and gross negligence. (2) In all other cases, Broadsword shall only be liable in cases of intent and gross negligence. In case of slight negligence, however, Broadsword is only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations, such as delay or impossibility of performance, for which Broadsword can be held responsible. The liability in the event of breach of such an essential contractual obligation is limited to the typical contractual damage, whose occurrence could be expected by Broadsword upon conclusion of the contract based on the circumstances known at that time. “Essential contractual obligations” are those obligations whose fulfillment is essential to enable the proper implementation of the contract, and the achievement of its purpose and whose observation you as an end consumer may rely upon. The foregoing limitations of liability shall not apply in the case of explicit guarantees by Broadsword, in case of malice and injuries to life, body or health, as well as in the case of mandatory statutory regulations. Nothing in these Official Rules shall deprive you of the consumer protection rights granted to you by the laws of your residence that cannot be derogated from by agreement.
8. Privacy and Publicity. Nothing in these Official Rules shall be deemed to exclude or restrict any of your statutory rights as a consumer. If you participate in the Contest, you consent to Broadsword’s processing your personal information including your name, email address, IP address, SWTOR account standing, country, and date of birth (“Personal Information”) in accordance with EA’s Privacy & Cookie Policy, which you can read at https://www.ea.com/legal/privacy-policy. You also consent to Broadsword’s use of your Entry, personal name, user/screen name, social media handle, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, and/or hometown and state (“Entry Data”) for promotional purposes. Broadsword (or its Agent) has the option, but not the obligation, to use your Entry Data in any media, worldwide, without any further attribution, notification or compensation. Some jurisdictions prohibit the mandatory consents described above, so some or all of them may not apply to you.
For Residents of the European Union: The organizing entity shall be considered the data controller for the database containing Personal Information, and it provides for an appropriate data protection level. You understand that your Personal information shall be processed for the purposes outlined below, in accordance with EA’s Privacy and Cookie Policy, (see https://www.ea.com/legal/privacy-policy).
Personal Information will be used for the purposes of:
Organizing, running and monitoring the Promotion and prize fulfillment, including, if you win a prize, publishing (i) your name on the Winner(s) List and (ii) your name and country of residence online or in any other media in connection with the Promotion, as described in this Section 7 above; and
Any additional processing activities to which you consent and/or acknowledge as applicable.
9. License. By entering this Contest, you expressly grant to Broadsword and its Agents a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, complete, sub-licensable and irrevocable right to quote, re-post, publish, use, adapt, translate, archive, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, syndicate, license, print, sublicense, distribute, transmit, broadcast, and otherwise communicate, and publicly display and perform the Entry, or any portion thereof, in any manner or form, without notice, payment or attribution of any kind. You agree not to assert any moral or similar rights you may have in your Entry. Broadsword has the right, but not the obligation, to use any of the Entries.
10. General Conditions. Broadsword reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest, (or any part of it) if fraud, technical failure, human error or any other problem impairs its proper operation. In that event, Broadsword may hold a random drawing from among all eligible Entries received up to the date of suspension for any of the prizes offered. Broadsword reserves the right to disqualify any person it finds to be in violation of these Official Rules (including tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest), or acting in an unsporting or disruptive manner. If you attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest, it may be a violation of criminal and/or civil law, and Broadsword reserves the right to seek damages from you to the extent permitted by law. Broadsword’s failure to enforce any term in these Official Rules shall not be a waiver of that term.
11. Limitation of Liability. The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, typographical errors, or by equipment or programming associated with the Contest; (2) technical failures, including without limitation network malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections; (3) unauthorized intervention in the entry process or the Contest; (4) technical or human error in the administration of the Contest or the processing of Entries; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail or electronic communications; (6) ineligibility for any reason, including entrant’s misunderstanding of the Official Rules and requirements or the entry process. If for any reason your Entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, your sole remedy is another Entry in the Contest, if possible. Broadsword will award no more than the stated number of prizes. If production, technical, programming or any other reasons cause more than the stated number of prizes to be available and/or claimed, Broadsword reserves the right to award only the stated number of prizes. Some jurisdictions prohibit the limitations described above, so some or all of them may not apply to you.
12. Disputes. Unless you are a resident of a member-state of the European Economic Area, South Korea, or Switzerland, all disputes, claims or controversies arising out of or relating to the Contest, including the marketing and promotion of the Contest ("Disputes"), shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in the United States under the laws of the United States. The only Disputes not covered by this Section are claims (i) regarding the infringement, protection or validity of your, Broadsword's or Broadsword's licensors' trade secrets or copyright, trademark or patent rights; and (ii) those brought in small claims court.
You and Broadsword shall first attempt to resolve any Dispute informally for at least 30 days before initiating arbitration. The informal negotiations commence upon receipt of written notice from one person to the other ("Notice of Dispute"). The Notice of Dispute must: (a) include the full name and contact information of the complaining party; (b) describe the nature and basis of the claim or dispute; and (c) set forth the specific relief sought. Broadsword will send its Notice of Dispute to the contact information in your Entry, or other address you provide for this purpose. You will send your Notice of Dispute to: Broadsword Online Games, 790 Station St. Herndon, VA 20170, ATTENTION: Legal Department.
If you and Broadsword cannot resolve a Dispute informally, you or Broadsword may elect to have the Dispute finally and exclusively resolved by binding arbitration. The arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Commercial Arbitration Rules and, where appropriate, the AAA's Supplementary Procedures for Consumer Related Disputes ("AAA Consumer Rules"), both of which are available at the AAA website www.adr.org. Your arbitration fees and your share of arbitrator compensation shall be governed by the AAA Rules and, where appropriate, limited by the AAA Consumer Rules. The arbitration may be conducted in person, through the submission of documents, by phone or online. The arbitrator shall make a decision in writing, and shall provide a statement of reasons if requested by either party. The arbitrator must follow applicable law, and any award may be challenged if the arbitrator fails to do so. You and Broadsword may litigate in court to compel arbitration, to stay proceeding pending arbitration, or to confirm, modify, vacate or enter judgment on the award entered by the arbitrator.
YOU AND BROADSWORD AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator shall not consolidate another person's claims with your claims and shall not preside over any type of representative or class proceeding. The arbitrator may award declaratory or injunctive relief only in favor of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to provide relief warranted by that party's individual claim.
If you live in the United States, arbitration will take place at any reasonable location convenient for you. For residents outside the United States, arbitration shall be initiated in the County of San Mateo, State of California, United States of America, and you and Broadsword agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of that court, in order to compel arbitration, to stay proceeding pending arbitration, or to confirm, modify, vacate or enter judgment on the award entered by the arbitrator.
If the arbitrator rules in your favor on the merits of any claim you bring against Broadsword and issues you an award that is greater in monetary value than Broadsword's last written settlement offer made before Broadsword makes its final written submissions to the arbitrator, then Broadsword will: pay you 150% of your arbitration award, up to $5,000 USD (or equivalent in your national currency) over and above your arbitration award, and reimburse the arbitration fees that you paid to the AAA.
For residents of Australia: The Contest is governed by the laws of the United States, provided that you will not be deprived of your statutory rights and legal protection as a consumer granted by the laws of Australia. The court of jurisdiction shall be your country of residence.

Over the years, the Hutt Cartel’s reputation has taken a hit. The once powerful organization no longer instills respect and fear. To restore the Cartel’s influence, two up-and-coming Hutts, Gaboorga the Abundant and Duuba the Magnanimous, are throwing the most lavish “charitable banquet” in history for the galaxy’s underprivileged. And if the Cartel happens to advance their business interests during the Feast, everyone wins!
If Gaboorga and Duuba can cooperate, they could rocket the Cartel back into the upper echelons of the galactic underworld. But the Hutts’ conflicting priorities means they’re constantly undermining each other. Each week a new Story Mission will unlock to progress this storyline, leading to the climatic choice during the third and final week: Gaboorga or Duuba? Only one Hutt can win, and the fate of the Feast of Prosperity is at stake. Choose wisely!
For players that participated in the event when it previously ran, you'll be able to immediately jump into the Daily Missions and mini-games! If this will be your first time experiencing the event, each week a Story Mission will unlock - progressing the conflict between Gaboorga and Duuba.

The SWTOR team opens MacOS Technical Test sign ups to eligible players
Following Keith’s announcement in the Q3 Producer letter that the team has been internally testing a Mac launcher, we’re happy to announce opening up a test session for players who are interested in seeing how SWTOR performs with MacOS on Macs with Apple Silicon.
We will be hosting a closed technical test for eligible players in the coming days. Here’s what we’re looking for:
Players who have an active subscription or Preferred account.
Players who use a Mac with an M-Series Chipset: M1, M2, etc…
MacOS 14 Sonoma or newer - Older MacOS versions will not work during this test.
This is not compatible with pre 2020 Macs with Intel processors. To find out if you have an Intel-based Mac, following these steps:
Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner
Choose “About this Mac”
If the window shows an item labeled “chip”, you have a Mac with Apple Silicon and you will be able to participate in this test.
If the window shows an item labeled “processor”, you have an Intel-based Mac and will not be able to participate in this test.
Please keep the following in mind:
While this is a technical test, the launcher will be using a live environment.
This is a technical test, so unexpected issues may pop up such as not being able to log into the game or the client crashing. Should these issues occur, there will not be loss of data eg. inventory or characters.
All technical tests will be available in EN only.
