As it stands, I cannot compile my client to standalone due to some sort of UNITY technical difficulty. I have a fully functional MMO engine with multithreaded cores aka 10-1000 x as many things rendered as video games you're used to. Yet, I can't make a client patch yet.
I did make a server patch tho! It allows for you guys to buy virt goods if you want. I'm not gonna poor mouth you, but I will say I use money I get on Starfighter General to invest in Starfighter General for a better product. I never did a crowd sourcing. I never got funding. This is a one man MMO, and resources coming in help develop the game faster.

1) Fighter Fantasy Crystal, a MMO my white whale since 2003 of Kungfu, make your own moves. I've had prototypes before and they were cool. I want to make this in parallel with Starfighter General as soon as we get world editing and a universe being built out.
2) World War 2 & 1/2 : I know more about RTS than anyone I ever met or any known game designers, likely more than anyone on Earth now. I'm gonna make a physics based RTS with core balance mechanics in the best of RTS. Yet wacky things can happen in a physics based RTS. Like you could strap researched rockets to a motorcycle and hit a ramp, then take out an airship by collision and strange stuff like that. The faster Jeeps go, the more damage they do when they hit stuff... etc, phyics based RTS, designed for the reaction crowd and extreme hardcore RTS fans.
3) After Juilet: Started 2 years ago, I wanted to give 5 years of development of ideas of the ultimate Castlevania game. You are Romeo in the Underworld and you are still after Juleit. Health/food/light/sanity are your bars. LOOOOTS of cool stuff already in this one.

Unity's Editor has problems compiling a standalone
So despite being able to get a working version finished, UNITY has a bug in the alpha version that will not let me build a standalone... This may take some time. We'll keep pushing content through, but this is a speed bump.
Since the MMO part can't launch like I wanted it last week, I'll provide an update to your base building early next week. I think I'll show power levels of ships so you know what to research, build, etc. I will also add virtual goods. Look for this update Wednesday or before.

News of upcoming MMO
The Galaxy Explore MMO code I believe is functional now. Unity is not allowing a standalone Windows version being built now because of a bug in the bleeding edge alpha Unity, but that is fine. In under a few weeks it should allow me to publish the MMO. Until then I am just making it better and better. Looks like we have three worldbuilders on board not including myself.

So my bro Lokesh from India helped me get so so many techs, I'm ready for worldbuilders as early as tomorrow. And the MMO could go live as early as the day after tomorrow or the day after that(albeit not a lot of content at start). I am dedicated to adding content to this for the rest of my life. It will be insanely funny, but also have great game mechanics that will make you strive to level up. There has never been a MMO like this one ever made with awesome end game designed right from the start.
This is a MMO you'll never want to quit your entire life, and I'll try and avoid subscriptions and slimey stuff other companies do. NO DLC to pay for. All updates free. Server is never going down as maintenance is next to nothing. Other companies have multiplayer for 2 years to get your $$ and shut it down. We're NEVER closing doors, unless I die and my successor sucks. This is incentive for all of you Starfighter General players to be my body guard. :) In all seriousness though, pray for me. All great video games of the past involved prayer! Lets pray this one up so hard, it chills its way up to God's throne and pleases him.

So I did something dumb saving a variable in your userdata that should be initialized as 0 every time. Fixed it on server, no client dl needed.

Feature 1 readded: Last Stand
So Last Stand is fun. It is an alternative battlemode to base raiding. Basically it works like this:
1) You face a never ending stream of enemy ships.
2) Your entire fleet comes, not just Computron enabled guys.
3) It is about 30 x 30 ships now. I can optimize later to get 60x100 or 100x100, but MMO is higher on my priority.
4) It is very fun, aim for a high score. Obviously better ships in your fleet mean a higher average score. I miss high score games of old such as arcades and Atari2600 had. As much as Nintendo Entertainment System had revolutionary games in a revolutionary systems, sometimes it was possible to get infinite lives. Once you can get infinite lives, score becomes irrelevant.
5) It is a good mode to collect scrap, but you can't gain Xmatter.
6) Some small bugs in it, your golden ship is there, and I'm not sure if high score is enabled, but this stuff will be revisited after the MMO out.
Feature 2 Better base matching
There were issues with base elo matching to your fleet elo before resulting in new players playing slightly tougher than expected and old players raiding scrappy meager new bases. This has become a rarity now. More commonly, you get places against bases of your caliber. This means everyone advances at a greater rate and it is good for the game too!

This is probably generally useless for now until I tell you events happening. Might not even work some. Data integrity is not promised on PBR, only the main server is your data preserved the best I can.

Once MMO in full swing, we'll have a ground exploration sequence with a First Person Shooter, Character creation, and characters not currently used on your roster are crew members, skills, attributes, talent trees, special powers, etc etc. Gonna be AWESOME! Bug fixes: I) UI now clickable again (Thanks Tiwaking. I o u some triderium for helping find a bug.)
II) Restored 5 user accounts manually which got corrupted because I used all the space on the server with files that didn't need to be on it. This is good because I am doing proper daily backups. :) I know many small companies that don't do this properly. If you still can't play, make a message on the boards.
III) Triderium voice less annoying. Triderium display 'more' correct.
IV) Misc bug fixes

b) Alerts and messages revised
c) Researching has lower tier pyramid style requirements of knowing relevant techs and such before getting to higher techs.
Tier 2 hybrids require both Tier 2 of their respective types.
T3 requires two hybrids with the subtype that you want to research T3 Say you want to research Agile, you need 2 of the following: agileassault,agileshield,agilebomber,agileram
T3hybrd requires three t3, 2 of which must be the T3 of their respective types.

Level 60 is the cap of research now, but in the future, we'll be using it, so it couldn't hurt to upgrade past 60.

It is awesome that all I needed to do was just stop gitlab and free up like 3 gig or something and it was not even serious server bug! We don't need gitlab on this server anyway. :)
Apologize for any inconvenience. I know how people like to play a lot. I need to add a system to gift triderium for apology sake in the future, lol. On the todo list. Now, I just hope you enjoy the game back up. We're rapidly beginning MMO phase.
Finally, targetting fixed
So, targetting and some bugs are fixed.
The old targetting system was like 11 dimensional math I had to do for each new ship or building I made.
The new targetting system is better, and has some small issues, but good for now until we make it better.

What is really exciting is that this is the last major patch we had to do before starting on working on this unique MMO with TONS AND TONS of stuff, some of which no other MMO has such as:
1) Unlimited action players in the same zone allowed by networking, only 3d rendering is a bottleneck.
2) Fun Pulpy Criminals that you want to take out.
3) A 4x system, but you're not emperor, they're all bots. They war against each other, and you have to deal with the consequences and join who's side you like or is paying well. This is the beginning of a whole new style of game, where all the NPCS are interacting with each other and form companionships and get grudges etc.
4) On top of that, a Grand Space Opera driven by a LIVE GAME MASTER system. You can literally change the landscape permanently. You can have your name etched in the history of the Universe, or in Crime Logs. Etc etc. Live Game Master games NEVER EVER EVER get boring, unlike traditional MMOS that once you see everything, that's it, look for a new game or update. This game can last forever, and doesn't need new players every 10 years to keep going.
5) A first person shooter style game will be added sort of like Fall out with lots of skills.
6) Customize your player by choosing race (No avatar fun), and getting stats assigned. Later you can change characters, and the old ones you had still play along side you like crew! If I get fancy, maybe I can make it remember some of your character's mannerisms for faux role play sayings.
7) There is a talent tree that allows you to take all sorts of different paths to upgrade your character.
8) Unlimited leveling, but power ends up being a curve with diminishing returns so hard core players don't have too too much advantage on people who spend a couple hours each night.
9) Trading
10) Allegiance system so if you follow someone, they gain some experience when you do, and the expectation is that they help you with resources.
11) Phantom Enemies: Enemies only seen on your client, they are spirit fighters who only exist on your dimension. This helps so other players don't clear zones with nothing for you to shoot at.
12) Explore the ground of planets, literally to scale. You could spend years walking around Mars for instance.
So many many other things coming. The earliest will probably be 3 months from now. I'm actually looking for world builders on top of the guys who say they want to work. I find maybe 1/20 people who say they want to work actually work, so I could use many many people. Just leave a comment below if you want to help make Worlds for this game.
