Starport Delta
Mining Ship
This week is a profile of a ship vital to your station economy in Starport Delta, the Mining Ship!
Have an eye for precision and want to see more of space up close? It takes the right people to run a space station. Mining ships in Starport Delta accompany each mining depot, shuttling to nearby asteroids to harvest raw materials. After each harvest, materials are scanned by the support satellite before being deposited back at its receiving depot. Pilots of these ships consider themselves miners first, since it takes training and skill to operate a material harvest beam safely. They are the backbone of the economy and are well respected by everyone living on a station. #miningnotsweeping #thatsnomoon

This week is a profile of a ship that regularly visits your station in Starport Delta, the Supply Ship!

The pilots on these ships fly some seriously impressive distances to make sure stations like yours have the people and resources they need. #wedeliver #seeotherworldstheysaid
This week is a profile of an important character in Starport Delta, the Holo Assistant!
First introduced back in v0.10, the Holo Assistant is the main travelling companion for the player. A true artificial intelligence, they provide assistance to the player in trying to achieve his missions as the other half of their crew of two. This assistance usually comes with the price of some dry, smart-aleck commentary, but any advice is worth listening to.
Voiced by the talented Natalie Hitzel, we hope you enjoy the art and humour that comprise our Holo Assistant!
This week is a close up on one of the most important buildings in Starport Delta, the Port!
Every space station has to start somewhere, and in Starport Delta, that’s the port. The port provides somewhere to begin building your station from and a place for visiting supply ships to land. The hub of the station, all communications are coordinated from here.
Will you design a station around your port, or expand away from it and leave it at the edge? How do you build your starport?
This week is a close up on another of our new upgraded buildings in Starport Delta, the Mining Depot!
Upgrades in Starport Delta happen through proximity. A regular mining depot provides landing space and processing facility for one mining ship, which harvests materials from nearby asteroids. By creating a cluster of three mining depots, it automatically upgrades into this bigger version with an additional platform. This upgraded mining depot provides a bonus mining ship to get materials more quickly for your station and degrades at a slower rate. How does this change how you build *your* starport?
