Starwalker - Reboot

Starwalker is going through some changes. We will focus mainly on dialogue, the rpg element and the skills. There will be combat and shooting of course, but Starwalker is on the road to become a scientific exploration game.

Weekly Update - August 6th

New professions system implemented. Chose your profession and gain additional skill points!

Now you can chose among the 18 professions and biographies. With the professions, we implemented 18 different background stories and appearances for your characters. Each character with its own purpose and background.

July 2016 Update

Starwalker is going through some major changes. Let us know what you think about them.

- We changed the main avatar. A less complex avatar has raised the amount of possibilities for armor, clothes and weapons we're gonna have in the game.

- You don't start on Earth anymore. Although Earth has been destroyed and it's a planet in the game, a single survivor (you) already managed to travel to the Asmunus System and crashed in an alien planet. That's where your adventure will begin.

- Skill list and attributes are still the same, the rpg old-school system hasn't changed.

Changes in MP Game Studios

I regret to inform that Rafael is no longer our lead designer. He received a proposal from a big company and decided to move on.

However, Starwalker will also move forward. We are in contact with two new designers and they are already working with us.

This game is an old dream of mine and it's becoming something really incredible.

November Update

First dialog is done. I want players input on how it looks and if it's working well, this is how dialogs will be in the game. You can also check the day/night cycle and use the bed to rest. Feel free to explore the building, and don't worry about the aliens for now. You're safe, but they're out there.

You can also check the new inventory system - it's not ready yet, but it's coming. Character sheet is done and we're also working on a tutorial. Just let me know if you prefer that the tutorial takes up the entire screen and teaches you how to play or just small warnings on the side.

Starwalker Development

Much has changed in Starwalker. We basically heard everything that was said when people first saw the horrible game we launch as Early Access and decided to change so much. Things are looking up, our system is each day more mature and things are starting to settle down in the game.

We had a lot of problems with the skills layout, a lot of disagreement about the HUD, fights about the darkness and struggles to change or preserve ideas. Now the HUD has changed, no more bars, only numbers (don't worry, you can hide simply pressing H anytime) and the darkness is gone. You'll start in broad daylight and you'll have a whole day to survive the aliens before night falls. There are no streetlights and a lot of smoke and the alien motherships are blocking moonlight, so night is still gonna be dark, but you have time to find a regular or alien flashlight. Your safehouse is also not gonna be dark at night.

Update 02/08/2015

Today we updated Starwalker to fix some minor issues, such as:

- Flashlight intensity increased;
- Day/Night cicle;
- Open Lock skill fixed;
- Higher dexterity helps evades enemies blows;
- All resources to build an alien ship available;

A tutorial will be added on the next update, along with the Stealth and Robots skills.
