Hello!
We, the Risen Phoenix team, just wanted to let you know that we are working on a new game. Well, we have been for the last 2 years, but its finally getting some legs! New info will be shared on the Risen Phoenix Studios Facebook page, so keep an eye out there. Thank you again for playing!
~Cheers, RPS
Single Player Campaign
After two awesome years of multiplayer, our backend for muliplayer service has closed its doors. Steamalot will still be here as simple, engaging, deck building, grid based tactics game. We hope you continue to enjoy it!
We have been keeping our heads down as we work on our next title in development, it will have multiplayer (with a new service provider). So, sorry for the absence but we look forward to making more games for you to enjoy.
~Cheers!
Update: Card Leveling Fix
A new update is rolling out today12/16/2015. This is fixing the card leveling bug where by cards could be randomly lost through repeated leveling at the same time while switching between the card selection pop-up menu repeatedly.
We also came across an AI edge case that wasn't breaking, but annoying, and fixed that.
Everyone at Risen Phoenix hopes you continue to enjoy Steamalot. This update will also be added to our iOS update queue. When that goes live it will be lined up with the Steam version and cross-platform PvP will be available again.
~Cheers!
New Update!
Hello all, We have a new update coming out today. With it are some bug fixes and *part* of the final cross-platform compatibility feature integration. As soon as the mobile updates are live the integration will also go live. Stay tuned for that announcement.
Fixes for 11/18/2015
<*>New exception handling routine and pop-up warning for data transmission error. In case of a critical error in PvP, a message will be sent to support and the match will end in a draw.
<*>Network connection icon in PvP lobby and in multiplayer battles. Green icon indicates good connection. A yellow icon indicates failure to ping the server, but continuing to establish a connection. Red indicates that a connection has not been made for more than 3 minutes and likely indicates that the user's device does not have a stable connection.
<*>Fixed bug where the AI would heal an enemy character under its control with cognition.
<*>Heal no longer removes cognition.
<*>Fixed an issue with fervor ability.
<*>PvP lobby no longer constantly flips between "friends" and "matches" when there is a pending request.
<*>Fixed fringe cases where Mechanic and Chop Shop skill cards would fail to properly remove Cognition.
<*> Lowered the volume of the music.

PvP Update Sept 2015
We have been tracking down a bug this last week and it looks like we've gotten it hammered out. This seemed to occur by from using skills right before the end of a turn like cognition, pressure, hack, and so on. This was a weird one that (like most newer bugs) cropped up from fixing a previous bug :-P We have checked and re-checked. It looks like we're good.
Look for the Steam client to update Steamalot within a few hours of this post.
~Cheers!
