So folks! This is the last update before we come out of Early Access on the 31st May 2017.
In this latest release there have been several further tweaks and improvements to the Story Mode gameplay, but now you can access Seek & Destroy arcade Mode and try one of four gameplay zones.
Seek & Destroy Mode
Seek & Destroy is an arcade style time based full on wave shooter version of SteamHammerVR with plenty of combos to boost your score and rack up those achievements. Ultimately your quest here is to try to become the world's most successful SteamHammer!
For Seek & Destroy you have been given MKIII versions of the SteamHammer arsenal, but you can still test your skill by playing in Easy, Medium or Hard.
Note: If you want to ascend the leaderboard and achieve the title of the Supreme SteamHammer then you can accumulate more points playing on the harder difficulty levels.

Oh boy! Have we created a real stink with this one!
Yes! The new Sewers Mission is now available for all our intrepid SteamHammerers.
You will certainly need your wits about you, as well as a peg for your nose and a good sense of direction, it's a complete maze of tunnels down there!
As you have probably guessed this is not just a pleasant whistle-stop tour of Victorian London's delightful sewer system, there is serious mission work to turn your talents to.
Naturally there are few more of Professor Rattwurm's vile rat automatons lurking in the tunnels but by now we are confident you know how best to deal with those pesky blighters, however, be advised we heard there are a 'couple' of new enemies for you to combat in the sewers, but don't let that bug you.
Oh...It is a bit gloomy down there but Dr Springhorn has equipped your exo-suit with a nifty little head torch!
Of course it would be jolly helpful if you could find your way out of the sewers by yourself, we are afraid that Dr Springhorn has a rather sensitive disposition to putrid smellls and unidentifiable soft floating debris... that's why he is sending YOU! Good Luck SteamHammer!
What's Springhorn been buggering about with?
A double glazing salesman met with Dr Springhorn last week and told him he was using the wrong type of glass in the visor of his exo-suit, so apparently he has replaced it with some new state of the art 'Super Sample' that he gave him to try.
Tell us what your think of the new Super-Sample-Thing will you? Oh sorry, apparently its Supersampling whatever the hell that is! Check it out in your SteamHammer Menu.
Springhorn is a bit confused this week, we asked him to fix some bugs, which is apparently why we got sent to the Sewers ;-) See what we did there?
What Crazy, Cruel and Unusual Creations come next?
Assuming you have made it out of the sewers and have had a jolly rigorous scrub down then you can next venture along the River Thames to the Limehouse Warehouse...we hope you have developed a good gameplay strategy by now, here you are going to have to think as well as fight...and run.
Time to tell you a little bit more about Seek and Destroy Mode, some of the locations you may recognise from the Story Mode but the gameplay and the automaton combinations here are going to test your strategy, survival instinct and weapon combos to the limit, are you the best SteamHammerer on the planet? Let's find out!
Feeling lonely? Need someone to cover your back? Want to reign supreme over the villainous Rattwurm's automaton army with a buddy? That's DUO Mode...more announcements on that totally cool potato soon!
Tinkering Update 1.0.3
Dr Springhorn has been busily tinkering away since last weeks launch and is tickled pink to announce the splendiferous version 1.0.3
What's New
Game Tips - Yes we know you are big enough to look after yourself and this is doubtlessly stuff you already know, but some people aren’t quite as smart and devastatingly good looking as you.
Gag the Doctor - Well I say! I don’t know what to say, apparently you don’t need reminding about the mission every time you go in and try again #Shhhhhhhh #GagSpringhorn
What ‘Features' Have Been Fixed
♫'You are So Beautiful..'♫ - Further testing revealed an inconsistency in the optimum beautification on certain hardware set ups, this has been rectified and now everything looks rather splendid for everyone.
I am Weak !! - Ok so you picked Easy because your a Feak and Weeble, we appreciate that we shouldn’t sneakily move it back to the recommended Medium.
Overfed Ravens - Rumours came in that Rattwurms largest Ravens had become rather cumbersome due to incorrect allocating of oil rations, after an new regime and several sackings they are now much faster and direct in their attacks, Yes we knew you would be pleased!
Hands on in the Hordenburg - Point, poke or jab, we all like to used a gloved hand our own way, so all the buttons will now respond however badly you treat them.
What’s Coming Next?
The SEWERS Mission Get your wellies and a peg for your nose, as it is really rather smelly down here, but apparently there has been an infestation of CLOCKROACHES!!
SEEK AND DESTROY It is nearly time to rip that unsightly plaster from the Game type telegraph, what exactly is Seek and Destroy anyway? well, YOU are the SteamHammer, but apparently there are others who think they are more up to the job than you…soon you will get the chance to prove them wrong!
p.s. We know the more historically savvy of you will have been utterly perplexed and in some cases incensed as to how Dr Springhorn is using a sticking plaster which allegedly was not invented until 1920, but in actual fact the patent was stolen from Obadiah.
Updated Demo + Minor Hotfixes to EA Version
It came to our attention that the Demo made available back in September 2016 no longer represents the game that exists today, as such we have today replaced that demo with a version that mirrors the EA version...with a limited time in Mission One.
We can also announce that a few Hotfixes have been applied to the the EA version, nothing major, almost certainly stuff you didn't even notice, but Dr Obadiah Springhorn has an exceptional case of OCD and he did notice.
Tomasz Kirsz our Head programmer loves to fix stuff he thought already worked, so come on gamers, try to break his code, we are waiting, in the meantime extra missions our being completed to release in a few weeks time!!!
20th January Official EA Launch
For those of you itching to get SteamHammerVR, the news is that we have pushed back just one more week before release.
As you can imagine, we are as excited to release the game as you are to play it, but for the sake of one more week we feel that the final polish and tweaks we are applying will be worth the wait.
For us VR is as much about the experience as it is about the gameplay and we are sure that when you step into this world, the story and the missions that you will see how much care and attention has been given to every detail.
Tom Kirsz our Head Programmer has done an amazing job to allow the design team to push the bounds of the game engine to the limit...the result is spectacular, get ready to step back in time and become THE STEAMHAMMER!
Hordenburg Launch Date
For those of you watching this page avidly, you will be aware that the original date for Dr. Obadiah Springhorn to launch his fabulous airship the Hordenburg and embark with you on a mission back in time to save London Town has changed a few times.
We have spoken vigorously with the good doctor and he is supremely confident that all systems will be a go on the 20th January 2017.
Brave heroes will then able to don his expertly crafted exo-suit and battle their way through the first three missions against a whole host of deviously evil automatons.
Fancy a Pint?
The Skillington Arms used to be one of the most popular Irish pubs in this part of old London town, but it seems very quiet for a Friday night...
... I wondered what the case of that is, best we go and investigate!
The Tower Guards Welcome
Rattwurm's Beefeater automatons await you, but don't expect a particularly warm welcome from these 9ft giants!
One of the most deadly of Rattwurm's devious creations this monster towers above the largest of heroes.
The good news is that the ravens haven't left the tower...no wait...hold on...whats that? Oh my good gracious the........
It starts at St Paul's
We have moved the launch date a bit, but we think you will appreciate the effort being put into really polishing the look and feels of this game. VR is as much about the experience as it is about the gameplay.
Your journey now starts with a stunning VR cinematic intro under the looming gaze of St Paul's Cathedral
The Unusual Clockworks
It's coming very soon folks, prepare yourself to step back in time and take on some of VR's most versatile, dangerous and hilarious enemies with what are probably the most unique combat weapons ever invented.
