BUG FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS
PvP Mode
• Added 10 new multiplayer playlists with new challenges, 5 of which will be in Japan. These will be included in the playlists rotations over the coming weeks.
• Fixed several minor issues linked to “Join in Progress” during matchmaking.
• Fixed a few minor issues with “Voting Starts” and “Voting Results” screens.
• Players will no longer be stuck in the lobby under certain circumstances.
General
• Live Challenges have a new logo and are now called Season Specials. Six Season Specials (2 per massif) will be available all month, in addition to one Yeti Special.
• Improved the location of the spawning point in Asia.
• The share ride option will no longer remain active after trails memory is exceeded.
• Community Challenge icons will no longer disappear under certain circumstances.
Easter Event – Egg Hunters, we need you!
Dress up like a real Egg Hunter with the new exclusive gear available now in the game. Claim your new outfit and play the two time-limited activities available this weekend to celebrate Easter!
Accept the Easter Challenge to visit the most iconic Rabbids location in Steep. You can access it from the Live page. We have heard that if you wear the new items while riding there, you will almost be the Rabbids king for one day!
If you prefer the competition, you can play three special PvP playlists. Join the PvP from the Mountain View and get a feeling of a competitive hunt by choosing The Labyrinth, Alaska Expedition or Alps Odyssey set of challenges.
All those activities will be available until Monday April 22nd! Don’t forget to share your Egg Hunter’s adventures by using #SteepPhotoMode and #SteepGame.
Season 5 is starting now!
A new Season, Spring Rituals, is starting in April! Take part in our live activities this month to get the exclusive Victory Yama Blue set.
This month we also have a big change to our Season system. From now on, every Season will last for 1 month, instead of three.
With this new format, it will be possible to offer you exclusive equipment sets and activities organized around specific themes more frequently. Instead of having the same rewards for 3 months, you will now get a completely new set every month! Our commitment to Steep is as strong as ever, we love your passion for the game and we are here to support it. ❤️
In April, we are also going to implement some improvements to the Steep World Tour, described below. Even more optimizations will come in May to fully adapt all activities to the new monthly format.
TOURNAMENT
A new Steep World Tour tournament focused on Ski/Snowboard challenges where you will need to score the max amount of points by doing tricks. The event is divided in 3 phases as usual and will run from April 5 to April 21. You will be able to access them from the in game Live Page.
QUALIFIERS: April 5 – 11
COMPETITION: April 12 – 18
FINAL: April 19 -21

April Fools' Day – A Salmon is singing
Gear up for April Fool's Day with a very special Ubisoft Club Challenge available now in-game, the Fool Challenge! Accept it in the Live page and impress everyone by falling in the most epic way. You can win the Season 4 Jacket by completing it.
To help you get into the April Fool's mood, you can also find the Singing Salmon Helmet in the in-game store until the end of April 1st. It will not literally sing, but if you wear it and look at it for 10 minutes, it will sing directly to your mind. You just need to believe in the power of the Singing Salmon, got it? 100% true story confirmed.

Celebrate Saint Patrick's Day this weekend!
The time has come to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day on Steep and embrace your inner Irishness. Join a special PvP event active until Monday where you need to score the maximum amount of points to be the Champion.
To do it in style and to really take part in these festivities, wear the exclusive Saint Patrick's costume available now in the in-game Store for a limited time. You need to have something green on you! This will drastically improve your style factor, the key element for every true Saint Patrick's hero 🍀.

Walking on air – Tips for budding paragliders!

Hello Riders!
To close things off on our series of articles for Steep newcomers, we’re going to talk about paragliding!
Compared to the high-speed thrills of the wingsuit and rocket wingsuit, paragliding is a much more laid-back and relaxed air discipline. But that doesn’t mean it comes without its own challenges!
To help you get to grips with Steep’s paragliding mechanics and prepare you for its series of challenges, Yeti Society member Mstifye has some tips to share with you!
Tip #1: Facing your target
“The less you have to turn the better! If your checkpoint is straight ahead, sometimes it’s the best to ease or take your thumb completely off of your left analog stick; this will make your paraglider glide straight towards the checkpoint if you were already on path. Any additional movement, dips or turns are unnecessary and could add lots of time to your score. So as long as you are trying to be as minimalistic as possible, you are sure to shave many seconds off of your time!” hey
Tip #2: For sharp turns
“Make sure to Hold R2 (RT/”_”) as you are cutting around a tight corner to make a much sharper turn! This will make your movements as swift as possible, and will help you overcome the most intimidating paragliding obstacles throughout your challenge!”
Tip #3: Glide in style!
“This is more of a fun one! If you hold R2 (RT/”_”) while in your paraglide and swing your left stick back and forth as if you were riding a swing, your character will eventually go farther and farther back until a full rotation is complete. This will be really fun to show off your flips to all of your friends riding along with you on the mountain!”

Map Vote is now live!

Since the release of the new PvP mode in Steep, you have often requested the introduction of a map vote feature. Today, we are adding it with a new update.
Try it now!
How does it work?
To join the PvP multiplayer lobby you need to go in the Mountain View. There you will see a banner at the top of the screen highlighting what you need to press to enter the automatic matchmaking system.
You will then group with up to three other players, then the competition will start and you will join a random match in progress. After having played that first random playlist, everyone in the group will be able to vote on what to play next. It is also possible that you will join during a map vote.
The first option will be to repeat the last playlist while the other two will let you try something different. The option with the higher amount of votes will win.
All PvP playlists will be available with the introduction of the map vote and we will keep adding new playlists in the coming months. We will also keep having special PvP weekend events.
