Please find below the highlights of the new patch we will deploy on all platforms on March 27th.
Infinite progression and bonus XP
We have removed the level 30 cap restriction. From then, you will be able to progress infinitely and get rewarded with Steep Credits every time you will reach a new level.
To support you, we have planned a series of temporary Bonus XP events – we will communicate on due time - so stay tuned: more info coming soon :)
Ranked mode
To make sure our Freestyle challenges leaderboards only feature true champions – we have added a ranked mode to our game.
From March 27th, we will reset all Freestyle challenges leaderboards and only players with ranked mode “ON” will be able to access those.
By playing ranked, you will have to score with a restricted amount of tricks at your disposal (specific to each challenge) - but that is what it takes to become a true champion right? :)
Live Activities
From April 1st, we will launch the first season of our live activities season system! Every 3 months, you will have the opportunity to win an EPIC and EXCLUSIVE EQUIPMENT SET by taking on various temporary challenges. More info here.

Steep World Tour Stars: isebba420
The fourth series of the Steep World Tour Season 2, Natural freestyle, ended a few days ago. Now it's the time to properly celebrate isebba420, the player who was able to get the best score across all platform. Let's discover more about him and how he managed to achieve this important result.
Where does your name come from?
Ever since I was a little kid, people always called me "sebba" (short for my real name), so I figured why not use it for my gamertag as well.
How long have you been playing Steep?
I don’t remember the date when I first started playing Steep, but I know I have been grinding all platforms for a combined time of over 2000 hours!
What’s your favorite Challenge in Steep?
My favorite challenge is Butterfly (Paragliding). It’s really easy making the competitive side of this challenge really fun! New time saves have been found again and again, for months, and the world record has had many holders. A few weeks ago me and super-pilot, another passionate Steep's player, decided to have a battle for the world record, ending up with me almost maxing out the time limit for the challenge. If you decide to attempt that world record, expect to put many hours into it; competitive paragliding can be very tricky to learn.
In what state of mind did you join this competition?
My state of mind was to stay calm and get a safe win.
When did you first start believing in your chances to win this competition?
I knew I had a high chance at winning during the last day of the finals, because most of the best players had already taken their attempts and they where not happy with the scores they got.
Could you tell us a bit more about your competitive style and strategy?
For most levels, I have already spent time working out a run that works best for me. If it’s too extreme to do in only 3 attempts, I switch up the run and make it safe enough to get a high score and not crash at the same time.
Any tips for rookies?
For me, the most important thing is to make my own runs and not just copy the 1st all time run. Try always to do the run that you feel most comfortable with. This is very important for semi finals / finals, since you have limited attempts you don't want to go too extreme and maybe lose that 4X multiplier. Another important thing I do before I start, is to warm up with other challenges. I find this very helpful :)
Congratulations again to isebba420 for this great performance in the Steep World Tour!
