The artifact-icons are done. Artifacts hold lore-bits and are used to tell the background story. I can't tell you more or we're reaching spoiler territory. ;)
The Main Quest Line is mostly compelete
The Building System is still work in progress
Enviromental sounds are still work in progress
Charakter modeling progresses and brings our crew to life, one by one. :)

Then stay a while and listen (...uh read) about some dev news. :)
Time to unveil some details :D
Fishing is completely implemented in the game.
Dialogues are still Work-In-Progress but are on their way to completion
The cooking system is done. The way how cooking works is inspired by the game called Mastermind. We'll get into details on this soon!
Stew for the Crew is implemented! Cook the favourite stew for your crew members and raise their happiness and get your reward. The rewards are still WIP (Work in Progress)
The visuals for "Stew for the Crew" are mostly done.
"Item discovery" technically completed: everytime you find an item for the first time, there is a little UI-pop up to celebrate your find. Still need to finish the visuals.
We are working on Steam achievements that fit into the game and challenges the player
Tool upgrades are finally implemented. You can upgrade your tools to do your farming work more efficient. For example, the upgradet bucket will water 9 tiles at once istead of one!
Combat balancing is close to completion
Speaking of combat: in Stranded Sails, there will be an Endless Arena. In the Endless Arena, you can test your combat and preparation skills. Fight against ongoing waves of enemies and try to set your record. Fighting in the Endless Arena rewards you with the loot of your enemies and your result can be seen in the Steam leaderboards!
As the development of Stranded Sails advances, so does the development of the demo! Stay tuned for more details soon (tm)
Is Stranded Sails a pure passion project? Yes, it definitely is. We want to create something new and provide players with a most enjoyable gaming experience. With Lemonbomb as our developer, we have a creative and ambitious partner with whom we want to implement completely new game projects like Stranded Sails.
Is the game buy-to-play or free-to-play? The game is absolutely buy-to-play. There are no hidden pay-to-win mechanics or microtransactions as well as lootboxes.
How close is the game to Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley? The game sets sail for a new gaming experience fusing adventure and farming. Thus farming is only a partial aspect of the game. By combining adventure and farming elements we create a world in which your achievements in a certain area will unlock new possibilities in another one.
Will the game have potential romance / marriage options? No, there's no romance or marriage in the game. The main focus of our survival adventure is on the story and the final goal, not on the relationships between the characters. You have to make sure that your crew is happy and well-fed so that they actively support you, for example in farming. This is important because you will always be in an active story quest.
How far can you go in doing stuff like farming? Farming is important on the remote islands to ensure survival and satisfaction of the crew in the camp. There are different plants to cultivate and by exploring you will discover new seeds. However, the game does not focus solely on farming as we’ll send you on various adventurous explorations and quests!
Are there animals on the farm? Can I have pets to play with? There are no livestock and no pets to play with.
How far can you go in doing stuff like building? You are ship-wrecked on a mysterious archipelago and now it’s up to you to build a survival camp consisting of a cooking and crafting station, shacks for your crew or fields to farm crops. In the course of the game, you can expand your environment in the given context.
All I saw from the trailer is a little bit of farming and traveling by a boat. I can’t tell much from that! The game is a mixture of farming and adventure. Our goal is to create as diverse a gameplay experience as possible, both exciting and relaxing. As a counterbalance to “relaxed” farming there are extensive adventures with exciting explorations, tricky puzzles and quests. In addition, exploration is one of the core gameplay loops that enables progression in the farming loop and vice versa. We are currently in the pre-alpha phase. So far we have only released one teaser. With the next trailer you’ll see more… So stay tuned!
Will this game have combat? Outside the survival camp adventurous explorations and and quests await you as well as strange threats. Combat is a part of the game, it will be simple and fun. Are you ready to awaken the adventurer inside?
Is there going to be a stamina or schedule system that limits what you can do in a day? Yes! There is a day and night rhythm with action and recovery phases. These phases must not be observed but it is encouraged by mechanics that it is done because it allows a more efficient energy balance. In addition, cooking plays a major role as your energy status will increase or decrease at different rates depending on your diet.
Are there ways to make farming more efficient? Yes, there will be ways to make farming (e.g. watering) more efficient in the course of the game.
Is there going to be a coop mode? The game is released without coop mode, because we want to create the most enjoyable singleplayer experience (we can provide). How about? Are you in?
Will there be Steam Achievements? YES! ːsteamhappyː
What platforms will the game be available on? The game will be released in Q2 2019 via Steam for PC and Mac. A Nintendo Switch release is planned for Q3 2019. Other platforms are to be discussed.
Will there be a demo version? Yes, we will release a demo version to test the game. If you are interested in betatesting or in latest news about the game, please subscribe to our mailing list at www.stranded-sails.com.
How do I become an alpha / beta tester? That would be awesome! We are currently collecting interested beta testers via our mailing list at www.stranded-sails.com. The list is guaranteed 100 percent spam free and helps us to keep an eye on all test requests. So just sign up! As soon as the alpha testing is done and the game is ready to be beta tested, we will send out a newsletter message via email to you including a short form to apply for the beta testing. We would like to know some details regarding your experience with games and testing. Don't worry, it is not a test and there is no "best answer". If you're selected, we will get in touch with you.
What is the beta testing about? We need your help by playing and testing the current beta version of the game. If you find a bug or other discrepancy, please let us know so we can polish and fix it. Your feedback is very valuable to us as it is very realistic and reflects the wishes of the players. Please note when testing: It's not the final version and everything can still change!
When can we expect the beta invite? Unfortunately, we cannot yet give an exact date as to when we will be able to send out the invites. We don't want to make any false promises! But we try to target late/end of March so please be patient!

Game development is hard but rewarding. Have a look at our work!
In our current project "Stranded Sails" you ship-wrecked with your crew on a mysterious archipelago. As the son/daughter (your choice) of the gravely injured captain, you take charge and build up a camp of survivors. You'll go on your quest to explore the islands and find treasures and tools to build a new ship and find a way home.
But before you can go on your endeavour, you have to prepare yourself! Farming, cooking and crafting makes you ready to explore the depths of the cursed Islands!
A crucial part is farming and crafting to prepare for your expeditions to the other islands! This is an early look to the farming part and not final yet. :)
You're not alone! The survivors of your crew live and work in the camp. They will help you and give you quests to work towards the final goal. I like the badass fisherman!
Are you prepared and well equipped? Fine! Let's go exploring. Mysteries await during your expedition. You might find some ancient places to unravel their secrets...
... and of course spooky foes who don't want you to. Do you see the ghost with the twig? Beware from this psycho, he knows how to use it!
Many games influenced our work. Most notably adventure games like The Legend of Zelda and farming sims like Stardew Valley. We wanted to create an interesting genre-mix where the best gameplay elements are woven together for semthing new and fresh! That is just a glimpse into our current work.
