Patch 1.1 has launched!

Hi everyone, we released our first patch for Subaeria yesterday evening.

Here's a list of everything that's been updated, feel free to reach out through the forums if you have any questions!

GENERAL



Optimization

  • Improved loading times.
  • Fixed an issue causing lag spikes near room gates.


Mouse and Keyboard support

  • Added Mouse navigation in the main menu.
  • Key indicators added for M/KB users.


ART



User interface

  • New UI visuals for the drone's area of effect.
  • New map and mini-map indicators.
  • App information can be displayed when in pick-up range.
  • Sniff acquisition progress bar added to the HUD.
  • Sniff information updated when purchasing in shops.
  • Fixed issue causing the Sniff or App's name to be displayed incorrectly in the in-game menu.


VFX

  • Fixed a visual corruption issue on the drone's trail when using Apps.
  • New VFX indicating Big Cleaners taking a hit & damaged state.
  • New water surface for the Community environment.
  • Fixed issue where area damage isn't displayed properly by the VFX.
  • New VFX for freeze traps.


Level Art

  • Fixed various issues regarding floating objects in certain rooms.
  • Fixed various issues regarding possible exploits or blockers in certain rooms.

NARRATIVE



Quests

  • Fixed an issue preventing the RisingSun squat from being unlocked.
  • Fixed an issue resetting cut-scenes in the Hermes to Storages room.
  • Fixed an issue where the cut-scenes are not triggered.
  • Various localisation fixes and polish.

LEVEL DESIGN



Enemies

  • Fixed an issue where Iron enemies' animation doesn't stop after the room has been cleared.
  • Fixed an issue cancelling grenade damage to other enemies.
  • Fixed an issue where the character would be briefly stopped when taking grenade damage.

Room patterns

  • General polish on critical room patterns.

SOUND



Music

  • Fixed issues preventing the music from being triggered in certain rooms.


SFX

  • Various bug fixes and polish.

October Update

Hi fellow Subaerians!

A week after launch, we’re taking a minute to let you guys know where the game is going and what we’ll be adding/fixing over the next month. We’ll be doing monthly content updates, as well as sporadic patches and fixes, as we implement and test them.

Here’s what you can expect to be added to the game during the month of October:

  • Extra character: Antonio is joining the fray! His story will give a better perspective on Subaerian society and allow you to explore more of the underwater city.
  • New environment: The Community (which you briefly saw if you played the tutorial) will be playable in-game at higher security levels.
  • Plenty of bug fixing and polishing of the game. We’re taking all your suggestions really seriously and will fix and polish the game accordingly.
