SunShine isn't Pixellore's next game in development, but you never know what happens to anything like these right?

Anyway, I had great fun with awesome people. Hopefully I can find myself more time to do more jam sessions in the future. It has been a good refreshing experience because I could not do anything like this during my development of Subterrain.

The video shows some base technology that I am basing the next game with. It's rather a long video, so you don't have to watch everything.
The next game from Pixellore will be a side view platform either in 2D or 3D with complex AI simulation. The tech demonstrate early version of the game editor with some tile painting, object placement and AI path finding. This isn't a game but it is just a path finding algorithm test.

Every agent has stupid AI that only knows where a random heart is and it attempts to go there and knows nothing else. This is built to test the path finding algorithm which has background threading path finding in dynamically changing world.

It was challenging to make it work with the stairs. The stairs introduces a lot more complex node creation rules for the path finding. Seems to run cool with almost less than 1ms on main thread with around 1000 agents so I am loving the threading a lot at the moment!

Anyway, happy 2017 everyone, and I hope I can share more on the new game as it gets developed.

Localization help needed for PS4 release

Subterrain coming to XboxOne and PS4



Hi everyone.

I realize this is Steam and some of you are probably not interested in this news, but I have the best community here for Subterrain so I would like to share the news.


Subterrain is coming to XboxOne and PS4 on 27th Jan 2017 next year.



It has been a real tough job to port the game as I had to do it all alone. And I wanted to try and make it world wide release on two major platforms at the same time so it was a lot harder than I have expected it. The process has actually helped to fix many minor glitches with the game, especially with the controllers.

I have been porting the game at the same time trying to come up with interesting stuff for the next title. I hope I can share something more before the end of the year but we will just have to see.

I hope some of you would be interested or at least tell your friends about it.

- Fixed : Quantity slider UI indicator was right stick on some UI, but the actual control was using left stick. ( Controller )
