Purification update beta test

Hi everyone!

I am looking for the players who are willing to help us do beta testing of the coming updated content.

We have been thinking hard about how we will be delivering the update. And there were choice of doing DLC or just updating the original game base with the new content.

After a lot of thinking it through, we have decided not to go with the DLC and just update the original game with the content. This means that we will not be charging the existing players with the new contents. When we originally set out to do the update, we wanted existing players to not having to pay for the future updates, so this is our way of keeping the promise.

However, we have invested a significant amount of time and efforts to update the game, so we believe that the base price of the game needs to be up a little.

So after the beta testing, we would like to raise small $2 on top of our original price making it $16.99 once the update becomes official.

We want to make the update official as soon as possible and before mid April so purchasing game before that is a $2 save at least!

We will announce more detail about this soon as well.

Update 1061

With this announcememt, I would like to give you some update on the current major content update we are working on.

In short , it is around 70-80% complete. I am hoping to enter a polishing / testing stage from next week.

I want to make sure the update works properly and all the officially supported language's localization is done before I can switch it on to the default game.

So the current estimated time for the update completion is around 2 weeks time, depends on how fast I can work on it.

- Fixed : Strange Viking plaza show cases not lootable bug. I still don't know what causes it but I have implemented safe measure to correct it after the game's load.

- Updated : Dragging items from inventory into tactical slots will now work regardless of the item category. This is new feature so it is subject to some bugs.

- Updated : Infection rate calculation has changed a bit. The locations has better min o2 and temperature and it has some effects on the infection rate. The old save games may have some wrong values in them. But all future new games should have this update.

- Updated : New wall rendering for minimap! I think part of the reason why some people are having difficult times locating the chips etc is that the minimap could sometimes be over looked so that the player was thinking they had explored the area. Now with wall rendering this confusion will be greatly reduced. However, this comes at the cost of some performance. Nothing modern pc can't handle, but it still needs to render the walls again.

- Updated : Changed fog texture format from jpg to png file. This could reduce save game size a bit in some cases and produces better loseless fog maps. This change was required for the minimap wall rendering.

- Updated : Performance optimization for mobs not nearby player. This method uses hard culling so there could be some bugs relating to this.

- Updated : AI update for spitter class mobs. It will try to get close to the player so that it doesn't get stuck in the corner, and has relatively weak melee attacks when close to the player.

- Updated : Tweaked shoot rate and damage value for all ranged weapons. Pistols and shotguns shoot faster with less damage. Pistols builds up heat quicker. SMG damage is higher for lower tier and lower for higher tier. Plasma launcher has faster firing rate for higher tier.

- Updated : Disabled cycling gathering minigun game play to properly test the new weapon balance. Sorry boys!

The new weapon balance is very experimental. So they are subject to change.

Update 1.0.2.1 Multi save options



We have just implemented multi save options.

You will be able to play on 2 different slots, but the progress can't be saved across different slots.

Instead, you will now be able to select normal or autosave to load from main menu.

We also just got Spanish and Italian language support updated!

Some of the texts are lagging behind a little because I am constantly updating the game all the time. (like the multi save options above) but let's hope things are kept upto date!
