SuchArt - Neon Update
Hey everyone, we're happy to bring you new free update for SuchArt!
Neon paint
The year is 2130, and a new technological breakthrough has made its way into your gifted hands. Neon paint is now available from every paint dispenser and is ready to be used within and beyond reason.
Customizable Gallery lights
Is the mood of your gallery not right? Do you think a dimmer light would better suit your tastefully neon-enhanced paintings?
Say no more: the spot lights of your gallery upper floor can now be tweaked to your liking, at any moment.
Stencils extension
This update sees the retirement of the various stencil packs that you could buy from the shop. Instead, the holostencil has been reworked and is now the king of all stencils, with:
A ton of new stencils, including letters and numbers
A bigger size range
A slightly transparent material for easier positioning
A cheaper price
Canvas colors
When requesting a new canvas, you can now choose the color you want to receive it in.
Not only a potential gain of time, this feature should also allow you to paint over the background color of your choice and then reveal it using various erasing tools, as opposed to the default white canvas. This should bring a new side use to erasing tools.
Tools labels
As an effort to improve tips and communication between players, every tool now displays their official in-game name under their inventory icon, when selected.
Fixes
Fixed a rare white flash flickering from some meshes
Fixed a painting issue with part of a Hangar wall
Fixed game version display not being properly aligned in the main menu, for some resolutions
Fixed marker color of the adjustable walls and blocks of the gallery’s B wing. This could happen after using the color wand on some elements of the A wing.
HypeTrain Summer Sale 2024
Missing the Summer Sale already? So are we, that's why HypeTrain is throwing its own: from July 15 to July 29, most of the publisher's games will be available at a nice discount. Don't miss your chance to restock your Steam library with some indie gems!
Again, long time no see! In case you've been wondering, we are alive and doing just fine - and so is SuchArt (and hopefully you too!). The game has been out for a while now, got a full-fledged bizarre DLC (that's the way they should be, right?), and built up the best and most wholesome player base ever. In other words, SuchArt has reached its ultimate state, where it needs nothing more to be enjoyed for dozens of chill hours.
But what if you actually want more? What if you’re digging SuchArt vibes and sense of creative freedom, but that freedom has started to feel a little tight?
That's where other games with the same philosophy kick in - if you can't do it yourself, support those who can. And our friends from Hive5 Interactive indeed CAN: their free building game Vivaland: Dream House has just launched on Steam, and we’re only sharing this news because we’re sure you’ll love it.
Yeah, you can’t paint there (at least yet), but you can build a house of your dreams, decorate and furnish it - after all, painting has always gone hand in hand with architecture and design. And you know what’s best? You can do all that either alone or together with up to 7 of your friends in a real-time online co-op mode - a feature that some of you craved for, but that never made it to SuchArt (sorry!).
This is a sincere recommendation, so make sure to check out Vivaland: Dream House if it’s right up your alley - it costs nothing, and it’s worth it, really.
Happy painting (and building)! ːLIS_pixel_heartː
Miserable Artist DLC and Summer update
Heya,
Long time no see! We haven’t been in touch for a while, but here we are back from nowhere for a fresh update!
The Miserable Artist (free) DLC
Are your clients treating you too well? Do you think you deserve less praise, and a whole lot more pettiness? Then the Miserable Artist Experience DLC is here to fix that for you.
The Miserable Artist DLC offers you to discover a fresh take on the game’s story, and experience the life of a maybe-not-so-genius artist, after all.
Brace yourself for awfully mean, entitled clients and start developing your personal coping strategy already. Will you ignore the pettiness, accept it, slack off and make low effort paintings, stay convinced of your well hidden deep down genius, or paint aggressive paintings in retaliation? Only you will tell.
This totally optional and free DLC should be taken as a humoristic alternative take on the game. Enable the DLC and start a new game to try it out! And if you find out it is not for you (fair enough), then it is always possible to disable it mid playthrough without losing any progress.
The Miserable Artist experience is only available in English.
One of your oldest requests finally made it to the game!
The painting-framing tool is now available in your gallery and waiting for you. Choose any combination of 35 different frames and 29 materials to fit the best frame on each and any of your paintings.
With 5 different categories of frames and 4 categories of materials, we sure hope you’ll find something to your liking!
Did you say Jetpack?
Experience the most stable, noiseless and apartment-friendly jetpack of them all.
The release of the Hangar update got you a spacious hangar and large items to paint, only to expect you to fight artificial gravity with some primitive ladders? No more!
Your new Jetpack station is waiting for you in the Hangar if you got the credits for it. No more excuses, ceiling is the limit!
More commissions variety
A good amount of commissions’ variety has been added to the portrait-less clients. More topics and style requests are waiting to be explored!
That’s it
This and also various bug fixes:
Petbot will now wake up if burned or scared by a explosion
Fixed a situation in which PetBot would sleep with its eyes open
Gallery lighting improvements
Fixed two retractable walls in the gallery that were duplicated
Fixed two retractable wall markers were not visible
Fixed the portable paint machine palette holder going into a wrong angle if turned while the machine was tilted
Fixed a small unpaintable line on the small 1-2 canvas
Better cursor speed and size across different screen resolutions
Fixed "No reviews yet" shop entries not being localized
Fixed bought items would never disappear from the shopping screen when bought in Creative mode
Fixed the last radio page creadits was not shown
Fixed duct tape would not get destroyed along paintings in incinerator, etc
Fixed a rare bug that could break multiple things in the game
And that should be it for now. We hope you enjoy everything we’ve prepared for you today and, of course, wish you a lovely painting day!
Nominate SuchArt for Sit Back and Relax Award
Hi there,
Hope you’re all well!
The annual Steam Awards Nomination has kicked off, and, once again, we’re asking you to vote for SuchArt in the Sit Back and Relax category, because it’s obviously the most fitting title for it (prove me wrong).
Jokes aside though - together with Creative Space, SuchArt has been out for a while now, and we all know how almost therapeutically meditative it is. You just launch it, greet your lovely PetBot, pick your favourite tool and plunge into the endless artistic journey with nothing superfluous in it - only your creativity and a canvas. Relaxing is what SuchArt is all about, and what we love it for.
But remember: no pressure! May your choice be honest and well-considered.
Keep making great art, enjoy the Steam Autumn Sale, and have a lovely day! <3
