Diego here from Chibig. It's been almost half a year since we launched Summer in Mara on PC and a lot of things happened. It has been a very hard year for everyone, but at least we have videogames to take us to a different world. I think we didn't have any time to thank you all for your support, both here and in our Twitter, Discord, Facebook, Instagram... We're really grateful and we want to keep doing the good work so you can enjoy new and relaxing videogames.
This time, we're asking you to help us nominate our game on the Steam Awards. We understand the competition is feroceus and this year alone we can think in a hundred games that are GOTY material.
We think Summer in Mara might be appropiated for the "Sit Back and Relax" or "Outstanding Visual Style" category. But we want to let you decide which category fit the most with the game.
We’re happy to announce that the world of Summer in Mara reaches out beyond the game. With the The Art of Summer in Mara and Summer in Mara Original Soundtrack, you’ll be able to explore this vast ocean in a unique way.
The beach under your feet, the breeze on your face, the waves on your ear. Feel Summer in Mara everywhere thanks to the Summer in Mara Original Soundtrack, created by Paco Mitos & Adrián Berenguer. From the relaxing and calm beaches of Mara to the exciting pirate adventures and the moving feelings of a lost and found orphan child.

UPDATE: Fast travel and additional crafting points
Dear players,
A week ago we released Summer in Mara. During this week, you give us your feedback regarding different issues and ideas for us to work on and improve.
We heard you and we want to use your feedback to improve Summer in Mara. In this update we implemented two features that will improve the experience of the game:
Fast travel: Now Koa can travel immediately to any island that you have discovered previously. This way, you don't have to go from quadrant to quadrant, avoiding loading screens.
Crafting and cooking. We thought it's a good idea to let Koa craft and cook in other islands, near to the main characters. Now you can craft/cook in Taka's restaurant, Akaji forge and Dunna's island.
We hope these improvements help you during the game. Please, keep sharing your feedback and feel free to give us your opinion.
See you in Mara, Chibig.
Updates Roadmap
Dear players,
Thanks for support Summer in Mara, thanks for play it and thanks for your feedback.
We are 5 people in Chibig just now. We are putting all our efforts to improve the game, fix the issues and heard all your comments. However we can't go as fast as we would like, so we appeal to your patience.
We are really commited with Summer in Mara, we think it is a good game that can be better. Those are our priorities by now:
GENERAL - Fix the bugs! - Improve some feedback to guide the player: like add more arrows and tip text in some quests. - Improve Koa's controls. - Balance the time pass and questlines.
GAMEPLAY - Add fast - travel to any island you have visited. - Add craft tables in other points outside Koa - island (like restaurants or workshops). - Improve the sailing experience.
UI - Add "delete save" option ingame. - Add some extra option to configurate the camera (fov, sensitivity) - Add window mode options. - Add Koa position to Qälis map.
We are working on this during the next weeks. Please feel free to suggest any other changes that you think good improvements for "Summer in Mara".
See you in Mara!

We have some good news.
We just launch a prologue version of the game for free on Steam. You can just follow this link and try the beginning of this adventure. Next month, we’ll release it as well for Nintendo Switch. This is completely free, for everyone, and you can stream it and share it with whoever you want. The demo is just the tutorial so you know how to play.
By the way, another thing: Summer in Mara will come out for Nintendo Switch, PC & Mac on June 16th. That’s right, we have an official release date! It’s been a long, long way and we’re so sorry for all the delays and changes, but we’ve done it thanks to you and now we’re just three weeks away from the release!
One last thing.
Caro is one of our artists. You can see her amazing 2D art as the portraits of the characters from the game, among many other things. Now, Caro is making a crowdfunding on her own!
Crepanquine is a fantasy, horror and drama comic inspired in the art of the famous animated Japanese films such as Perfect Blue and Howl's Moving Castle. It tells the story of the legendary Curse, a disease that transforms the index finger of its victims into parasitic magic wands. Our protagonists, the apathetic Rino and the lighthearted Xental will try to cure their loved ones of the disease. However, unbeknownst to them, higher forces will hinder their progress as they have a completely different purpose for the people living in Crepanquine.
If you have never heard about Crepanquine, don't worry! They also have a reward with an omnibus so you would not miss a thing about this story!
