BKOM Studios’ latest title combines point and click adventuring with stylish turn-based combat splashed against the backdrop of a dystopian 2070s London.
Team17 and BKOM Studios, in collaboration with the Canadian Media Fund (CMF) have today launched dystopian point and click adventure Sunday Gold on Steam for PC. Set in a crime and corruption ridden, near-future London, Sunday Gold follows an unlikely trio – Frank (aka ‘The Vengeful Ex-Con’), Sally (aka ‘The Activist’), and Gavin (aka ‘The Disgruntled Ex-Employee’) – as they pull off the job of their criminally disastrous careers. Integrating classic adventure gameplay with turn-based combat, Sunday Gold follows the gang as they harness their unique abilities, including lock picking and computer hacking, to help infiltrate the bloody underbelly of corrupt corporation Hogan Industries and bring down its monstrous boss.
We only have one shot to pull this off, don’t mess it up.
In addition to its unique blend of gameplay, Sunday Gold features stylish comic book style art and animation inspired by a visual concept developed by artists at Quebecois studio VOLTA, alongside amazing audio and atmospheric music from PVL Audio

We have made the decision to delay the launch of Sunday Gold to Thursday 13th October. We’re looking forward to bringing our point n click adventure to Steam for PC in a few weeks time.
Meet Sally!
Sally Wheeler has always felt a great affinity with the dogs that she cares for at the animal shelter. At times brutal when seen from the outside but always fiercely loyal and kind hearted, she spends her days caring for animals and her nights fighting in underground bare-knuckle boxing matches to make ends meet.
Her idealism combined with Frank's anarchist vision has bound them together for several years despite their frequent ideological clashes.
Sally isn't just the the brains of Frank's organization, overseeing the team's operations and strategies. She's also the brawn too!
Gavin is the computer wiz of the team! A dab hand with a laptop and his trusty hacking tool, when used correctly Gavin is a major asset.
Some might say Gavin was the instigator of this whole job. After all, he is an ex-employee of Hogan Industries... And who better to have on your team, than someone out for revenge?
If you caught our last post, you'll know that each member of the team has a particular skill which should help you with this little operation. For example, Gavin can use his "Hack3rBoy" to access all kinds of things - from flash drives to locked doors.
Just remember to keep the team focused on the job. If things get a little crazy, you don't want anyone loosing their cool.
In Sunday Gold, it's not all about beating your opponents to a bloody pulp, there's finesse required too! A little bit of discretion some might say, and that's where mini-games come in!
Take Frank for example, he's a dab hand with a lockpick and can open up all kinds of things! It takes a bit of skill though remember, if you get it wrong you're going home empty handed!
Gavin is the computer wiz of the team. Even has his own gadget for hacking doors and other inaccessible locations. You only get so many attempts though, so make sure you're paying attention before you run out of chances.
And who could forget Sally, eh? Sometimes you just need some brute strength to get the job done. She focuses on her breathing and if she gets it right, you'll be very glad she's along for the ride.
In the end, it's gonna take a team effort to get this job done. Get it all right, and Hogan ain't gonna know what's hit him!
A large part of the city has flooded, unemployment and homelessness are at record highs, a 'crime renaissance' is in full effect, and ethical boundaries are being stretched to the limit as biotech corporations explore reanimation upon cybernetically augmented race dogs.
Hogan industries are leading the way when it comes to mega corporations thriving, while the rest of the country suffers.
And that little old thing called the Kings League? They're probably up to no good when it comes to that, too.

Players will swap control between the unlikely trio, utilising each con’s individual talents to hack terminals, pick locks, break down doors, and take down the bad guys.

Throughout his life, Frank Barber has resisted the modern way of life that he perceives as indentured servitude: working for a corporation, living in worker housing, shopping in the company store, all to enrich the powerful.
Choosing instead to live on the fringe of society, he makes a living robbing millionaires and corrupt corporations.
Reasoning that his crimes are victimless since he steals ill-gotten riches, Frank has formed a crew of misfits to join him in his disreputable enterprise.
In Sunday Gold, Frank is a heavy hitter who utilises an arsenal of knives and guns to gain the advantage in combat.
Coupled with his lock picking skill, Frank will be a serious asset when it comes to tackling Hogan and his cronies.
