Hey everyone, we’re back with another week of bug fixes and improvements!
It’s been a busy week and we’ve managed to tackle a number of bugs, add a few quality-of-life improvements and make some tweaks to the balancing of certain aspects of the game.
We heard your request for a house earlier in the game, and after a poll on our Discord community, we have added a whole new house to build mode. This starter house is unlocked alongside the tea-house which you can build as soon as you have your chat with Philip. If you’ve already finished the quest or seen the cutscene, the game will automatically add the new starter house blueprint to your drone’s Build Mode, so be sure to check it out!
Let’s take a look at what else the team has worked on this week:
Farm Animals & Pets
Fixed a few saving issues and collision issues with the Shearing Station. The Station should be much easier to grab in Build Mode as well.
Animals should no longer phase through walls to reach a feeding station. Please be sure to give them plenty of room around their feeders/waterers! Cats and dogs now need one meal/water per day. Also, a friendly note that some larger animals require food and water multiple times a day.
Progression and Skilltree
When acquiring a skill at the skill tree the item is now correctly removed from your inventory.
Shops and Vendors
Removed the shop rotation from Oak Tree Groceries (Sako's Shop). This is a temporary solution while we work on implementing a new form of shop rotation that players can actually enjoy.
Winter festival items now show up in your inventory correctly upon purchasing them.
Vendors' shop times should work more reliably now.
Post Office now opens and closes at correct times.
A programming rework of how animal purchasing works. Cancelling an animal purchasing window should no longer give you the animals as if you purchased them, it should also work a lot more consistently when purchasing animals in general.
The receipt on animal purchasing windows should no longer occasionally show 0 as the price of animals. This could subsequently also fix the issue of animals not showing up even though they were purchased.
Riverside Ranch now refreshes its stock of animals every day and at the start of a day, if loading a save.
Removed a few items from Sako's shop (Mostly things that can also be found in vending machines)
The Sale at Gabe's shop and Higashi Pet Rescue has ended. All animals now have normal pricing.
Phone and UI
Lists such as Build Mode or SunnySeed should now work on all screen sizes. No more items cutting off at the edge or items not filling the whole space on ultrawide monitors. The game now automatically calculates how many items fit on your screen!
Splitting stack window slider is a lot more responsive on the mouse and keyboard now. More controller adjustments to come.
Caves
Falling asleep in caves should now correctly save the progression in the caves.
The circular caches in Desert caves should now have proper content.
The sunken cache in Cave Level 2 now has a platform to make it accessible.
Missing Swimming volumes added to Cave levels 2 and 4. You should no longer get stuck in certain areas.
Social System
Fixed the incorrect item request dialogue at the end of a hangout for a few NPCs.
Further reduced the frequency at which NPCs invite you to places.
NPCs should no longer invite you to hang out if a quest-related text message is active.
Rebalanced NPC Acts of Service item list. Fetch Quests should be a bit easier to complete now.
Implemented a small system that automatically gets rid of previously added empty fetch quests from NPCs.
Buildmode
A whole new house blueprint! From this patch onwards, once you get the tea house blueprint from Philip you will also receive the blueprint for the "Shack". It's a small starter house that should help you build a homestead earlier than you could before. If you have already gone past this point in the game, the game should automatically give you this blueprint when you load.
All the doors on houses are no longer auto-close. This helps with Build Mode but also allows pets in and out of the house.
A major overhaul to wall/path drawing mechanic, the system will now try to mold the path to the landscape's slopes and dips. This is a pretty big change to the backend of the system but should provide a much more enjoyable experience in drawing walls/paths.
All the doors on houses, barns and greenhouses are no longer auto-close. All of these doors will now also save their state overnight so you don't need to reopen them if you've left them open.
The tea house now has doors on both sides, which should make it feel cozier and more homey.
Farming & Cooking
Fixed the honey production for "Apple Blossom Honey" and "Mandarin Blossom Honey".
You can now see a crop's name above the watering icon if you stand close to it for 2.5 seconds.
Nerfed the percentage chance of raccoons stealing your crops.
Plants that are inside a greenhouse, now dry out and wither at a slower rate.
Fixed a number of incorrect names and descriptions on food recipes.
General Bug Fixes & World Improvements
Changed the player's truck and scooter texture file to a unique texture file for easier modding. (For modders: The files are called T_Player_Truck and T_Player_Scooter).
Face details on character creator should work fine again.
Fixed a graphical issue with Bunching Bamboo during winter.
Snow should no longer fully cover certain ground types (mud, dirt) during snow.
Expanded blockers to Farm 4 area. (Stop trying to break in, you heathens ^_^ )
Moved the floating fried chicken bucket to the appropriate map. (If you know, you know.)
Developer Tip of the Week:
Did you know that you can deposit items directly from your build cache into blueprints when using the drone?
The version number for this update is 1.15.35, and is listed at the bottom-right of the screen in the main menu or while pausing the game. If your game is on that version, you’ve got the update! If Steam hasn't prompted you for an update, it is usually dispatched slowly to each region. If you'd like to force Steam to update the game, fully restart Steam (close it from your system tray or task manager).
As always, we will continue to work on more optimisation, fixes and improvements as you all continue to play SunnySide.
Thank you so much for reading the patch notes! Thank you again for loving the game, for reporting issues to us, and for your continued patience! We’re committed to make SunnySide the best it can be!
Oh, before we forget, we have a special message for you from SunnySeed:

SunnySide Patch 3 is here!
Hey everyone, it’s time for another patch!
After last week’s focus on performance improvements, this week we wanted to spend more time focusing on bug fixing alongside the continued efforts on optimisation.. Before we get into the patchnotes, I wanted to highlight the biggest improvement. This boost to performance will be especially beneficial to players who have been playing the game for a while:
From your reports on Steam and Discord, we are happy to say that we were able to track down the super long and unusual load times of saves, and this issue is now resolved. We even made a system that cleans up your current saves you don’t lose any progress - here’s how you can clean your save if you’re experiencing load time issues:
Load your save, this might take longer than usual as the game will try to fix any errors and issues with your save.
Once the game loads, it should run normally.
Simply sleep so the game can save the "fixed" version of the world.
Return to main menu and load this new save, it should load fine now.
If you experience problems with the caves, I also suggest:
Visit every unlocked level of the caves at least once.
Go to sleep so the game can save.
This should cleanup the cave data as well, as they save separately.
As you can see, the system is designed so that it seamlessly fixes save issues as you continue to play. Simply playing the game in essence fixes the load time issues. This fix also takes care of the “game slowing down as you play” issue.
Now let’s take a look at what else the team has worked on this week:
Farm Animals & Pets
White and Black Alpacas now drop the correct wool type.
Fixed a collision issue on baby animals which prevented some from being interactable and pettable, they should all be fine now.
Quails should now be able to easily leave their coop.
You can no longer pet, pickup or attach leads to animals that are sleeping.
Major overhaul of farm animals and pet systems and AI.
Rebalanced all animal food and water needs. Animals shouldn't be so thirsty anymore.
Improved the collision on large quail coop, you should be able to close and open the doors without issue.
Chickens should no longer get stuck in the underside of the large coop.
Black pigs should work like other pigs now.
Animals should now use their feed and water stations properly and not morph into each other.
Progression and Skilltree
The default sheep breed available at Riverside Ranch is now the Southdown (which is the one that gives you wool)
Updated the item requirement for the skill "Wool Worker I" which unlocks all sheep type.
Fixed a few incorrect descriptions on skills. (Manure Mania I & II)
You can now shear rabbits at the shearing station table! This was blocked previously because of a collision issue that stopped the player from being able to interact with the shearing table that is specifically made for rabbits.
Shops and Vendors
Fixed an item duplication exploit in the vendor sell menu, where if you press esc and confirm at the same time, you receive the money but also your item back.
Fixed an exploit with services and vendors, where if you added an item to the cart while having a service order that doesn't have its requirements fulfilled, you could order the service anyway.
Grow Bag and Babs Raised bed now appear in Ladybug shop correctly.
Purchasing a Grow Bag or Babs Raised Bed now unlocked appropriate blueprints.
Purchasing a small metal light from Ladybug now gives a lamp blueprint.
Can now sell appropriate items to Got Noodz, Saiyatek, and the Shady Seller
Deprecated pet bowl blueprints removed from Hoshi Woodworks Blueprints Shop Menu
Phone and UI
Canceling out of the post office menu no longer blocks pausing.
KoiBeats song list when using the record player now has a scrollbar.
You can now back out of the record player using a controller.
You can now place the "Receiver Kit" item in the drone upgrade window without issue.
Placing a stack of drone upgrades into a slot no longer eats up all the items.
Picking a drone upgrade from its slot no longer gives you back multiples.
Speed upgrades to the drone should now work fine in the drone races.
To-do list is now scrollable using a controller.
The completed items should no longer appear in the to-do list tab on vendor menus.
Caves
You can no longer escape boss battles using the hot key on a controller (LB/L1).
The logged Zant panel in battle planner now has a scroll box.
No more floating Cave Barrier Switches in Levels 3 or 5
Moved the locations of some caches in Cave level 5 for easier access
Selecting "Return to SunnySide '' at the end of a boss battle loss screen should no longer continue to display the post-win cutscene as if the battle was completed.
Improved lighting on Cave Level 0
Rock spawns and item drops rebalanced across all cave levels.
Gates for 3rd and 5th floors now require the correct gem to be activated.
Cache Decal lights now reflect the color of the stone needed to activate the cache properly.
You can now use the spacebar as well as E to execute commands in battle.
Social System
The lock in point for Lucy's romance scene should now function normally.
Buildmode
Large stone path should work fine now.
Selecting boundaries (paths, fences and small fences) is now much easier. You can select them or delete them easily even if they're slightly hovering above ground.
Pre-placed build blueprints (Vehicle shed, Bicycle rack, Tea house and buildstation) now disappear correctly from the to-do list app once built.
Destroying a storage (fridges, storage boxes, decorative storages) now puts all of its content into your global cache.
You can now close all barn doors.
The 3rd Modern Barn mode is now fixed. You can enter it fine and it aligns to the grid properly. If you had one placed down, you might have to move it slightly as it is a tad larger.
The sleeping bag model is now corrected. If you had already placed one down, you might need to rotate it now.
The "Select/Destroy Buildings" option is now disabled by default. You will need to select this option in build mode in order to select or destroy large buildings. This is a safety measure to prevent accidentally deleting buildings while decorating.
Updated and rebalanced the build requirements for beds.
Adjusted material requirements for a number of build items. More changes may come in the future.
Adjusted storage capacity of storage items (Including refrigerators). - You may need to destroy and rebuild the item for the change to take effect.
Adjusted prices for Modern Fridge and Retro Fridge/Freezer to more accurately reflect storage capacity
Large Grill and Propane Tank removed from item lists in vendor shops ( Items were cut and accidentally left in game)
New items from each build category added as default blueprints for BuildMode (Including tent, sleeping bag, lights, and many others).
Farming & Cooking
Remote control of irrigation pipes now displays correctly in the utilities app after unlocking the skill for it.
Clay wall planters can now be correctly placed on walls and surfaces.
Raised beds and planters now work with irrigation pipes reliably.
Watering planters and raised beds is now easier.
Toothache plant item description now reflects the correct plot size needed for the plant.
Cinnamon, Adzuki Beans, and Dragon Fruit can now be harvested correctly.
Spinach salad now recognises the Nuts tag correctly.
Cucumber now has the vegetable tag.
Grilled Shabu items now have the correct cooking tag.
General Bug Fixes & World Improvements
Adjustments to stack size of a lot of inventory items, namely food related items.
Adjustments to drone upgrade speeds as well as their prices.
A major improvement to snow coverage during snowy weather conditions, the paths around the world and your farm no longer get fully covered in thick layer of snow, where it is plantable. This should help with visibility during a snow.
Sako's garden now grows properly in all seasons
Got rid of that stupid plant blocking the door at the Field Lab
Small renovation to Field Lab register and counter space.
Moving the camera around using a controller while sitting no longer prompts the character to get up.
If DLSS isn't supported on a hardware, it'll now tick the off option by default. DLSS was disabled on unsupported hardware anyways, but the highlight of the "performance" option, even though the row is greyed out, confused some players into thinking that DLSS was set on by default. Friendly reminder that DLSS is only supported on RTX graphics card from Nvidia (so 20 series and onwards).
The version number for this update is 1.15.30 at the bottom-right of the screen in the main menu or while pausing the game, if your game is on that version, you’ve got the update. If Steam hasn't prompted you for an update, it usually is dispatched via region slowly. If you'd like to force Steam to update the game, fully restart steam (close it from your system tray or task manager).
As always, we will continue to work on more optimization, fixes and improvements as you all continue to play SunnySide.
Thank you so much for reading, for loving the game, for reporting issues to us, and for your continued patience! We’re a very small team, and we’re doing our best <3
See you in the next update!

SunnySide Patch 2 is now Live!
Hey everyone, Rainy here!
Since the launch of the beta branch only two days ago, the community has been invaluable in finding ways to improve SunnySide. I’m happy to announce that today we’re releasing another, this time, pretty big performance and optimization overhaul to the game!
What’s changed?
We are now loading the content of the game very differently, this massively improves the stuttering for most players, in some cases, we got reports of them completely vanishing, at the cost of higher overall memory usage, but testing so far shows a net gain in performance.
After further investigation, I found that instead of the usual approach of loading parts of the map as the player approaches them, we can instead load most of the content at the very beginning. This is somewhat uncommon, but it seems to work best for our game.
As I mentioned above, this eliminates most of the stuttering or big rubber banding that players have experienced, especially using faster vehicles in the game.
While most players reported an overall improvement in performance and a steady framerate, this update might not work too well on certain hardware, which is why we’re allowing you to chose if you’d like to use this new system.
How can I try this new update?
This change is now live on our latest patch! If your game version says 1.15.21 at the bottom of the screen in the main menu or while pausing the game, you’ve got the update. Now, I understand that for some players this change might cause problems, after all this increases the memory usage for a smoother experience. For this reason I firstly recommend you guys play with the settings and see if things improve, especially draw distance, shadows and texture quality.
If you still prefer how maps loaded in the previous version, worry not: as I mentioned, we’re allowing you to turn off this new method of loading in the general settings. Just navigate to the Settings on the Main Menu or through the pause screen, and untick “Load all Sub-Levels”. Keep in mind that changing this setting mid game means you will need to return to the Main Menu in order for the change to take effect, but this will revert map loading to how it used to be before this update.
What else is new?
Alongside this change, we have also managed to squash a few bugs. Not as many as we would like to do for an update, but we thought it was important to get this new change to you all as soon as possible.
Patch Notes for this update:
The esc key no longer occasionally becomes unresponsive. This was happening if you interacted with the omamori purchasing box, but had already purchased one that day. Upon receiving the error, your esc button would become unresponsive. This is fixed now.
Your phone screen should now consistently be fixed if loading a save after which you had already visited Hiro.
The Ores on the level 0 of the caves should now work a lot more consistently.
If you pass out in the caves, upon returning to SunnySide all the water should now load fine.
Canceling the gift giving menu will now return the placed items back to the player.
"Watch the sunset" activity at the promenade should work fine now.
Fixed a number of time sensitive activities that were always unavailable due to a math error.
Invites from NPCs to hangouts should no longer occasionally end when arriving at the location.
NPCs should no longer jump around when interacting with player.
NPCs should no longer invite you out during a thunderstorm or blizzard.
When closing a sell menu, gift giving menu or letter sending menu, if the player is holding an item on the cursor, it will be placed back in their inventory.
The objective "Sell Wool to Debonaire in Higashi" in the quest "Homesteading" can no longer be completed before receiving the objective by selling items to other higashi vendors.
As always, we will continue to work on more optimization, fixes and improvements as you all continue to play SunnySide.
Thank you so much for reading, and I’ll see you in the next update!

Thank you for reading, and I hope you all continue to enjoy SunnySide as we continue to support and improve it <3
SunnySide Patch 1 is now available!
Hey everyone!
Following up on our last update, the team has been working on the first patch for SunnySide with a major focus on performance and optimisation. We also managed to squash a few bugs in between the optimisation efforts. Here’s what’s new:
Optimization and Increased Performance
We adjusted the loading volumes for interior levels as well as how quickly and granularly they load as you navigate the world. Some pesky trees received new billboards (so trees in the distance load better now, and we grouped up a ton of models (called “instancing”) in each house and interior so that they’re loaded quicker as you play the game. All this should me less stuttering when the game loads various interior maps as you run around the world.
Nvidia DLSS Can now be adjusted in your Graphics Settings
Nvidia DLSS is a great tool to achieve some frame rate boost quickly and easily, if you have a graphics card that supports DLSS (Nvidia) the settings option will be available to you. We know a lot of our players do not have an Nvidia card, for which we are looking at implementing FSR for AMD users in a future update.(We don’t have an AMD development computer, so this one takes a little more time.)
Strange NPC Behavior
We had a pesky bug that made it into the release which caused NPCs to decide incorrectly that a station was free and would try to use it. This caused many NPCs to either merge into each other or awkwardly sit on each others’ lap. Whilst funny, our NPCs deserve better! We implemented a few safeguards that triple check this now. NPCs should also now be nudged outside of stationery items they could clip into, like tables and chairs. This system is not in its final form yet and we will continue to polish it as we work on more updates, but the fundamentals are now in place. We are also aware of the localization issues in Asian languages and currently working to get this fixed.
Those were the big ones, but in addition, we have also done the following:
Your graphics settings should no longer reset on each start-up.
Fixed an incorrect dialogue string on Hanako's confession response.
Game settings adjusted and rebalanced. Low and Medium settings should look and work better now.
Removed a few developer activities that were available in the game (drone racing at the promenade).
Using the scroll wheel during a drone race should no longer cause problems.
AMD GPUs should perform a lot more reliably in the caves now, and the performance is much better across all hardware.
Improvements to Farmer's Market, including more reliable payouts and animal pen navigation fixes.
Fixed a typo on the bus stop map details panel.
Kat should no longer ask to "let Rainy know" in her daily dialogue.
The rice cooker can no longer be turned on if there is no valid recipe in the mixing circle. This fixes the issue of the rice cooker “getting stuck closed” if you try to turn it on without a valid recipe.
You can no longer close the Omamori receiving window by pressing the “Esc” button causing it to get stuck on the screen.
Minigames that are launched through a hangout (such as Crane Game or Gatcha Game) now show the on-screen prompt for how to play the minigame. The lack of a prompt confused some players into thinking that the game was soft-locked.
Your character should now behave normally when getting on the bicycle if they had accepted a hangout while riding the bicycle previously. No more hands on the side while riding the bicycle, safety is important people!
You can no longer accidentally destroy your bicycle rack or vehicle shed. If you have already destroyed them accidentally in your save, we're working on a way to allow you to re-place them.
Please ensure that your version number in the main menu and pause menu says 1.15.15-Full otherwise you are still on an older version. Sometimes it takes Steam a little while to push the update to everyone, but you can force it by restarting Steam from your system tray or task manager. If you’re using the deck, restarting the system should prompt it as well.
Thank you so much for continuing to play SunnySide and we hope you’re enjoying your time. SunnySide can be a pretty big game, so if you’re thinking of sharing your experience with other players, you can join our discord server here! There are tons of channels including sharing your farm, streaming your game and generally helping each other out with different aspects of the game!
This is just the start for SunnySide’s post-launch support.
We have tons more updates planned and optimisation work continues. The team has also just received a Steam Deck which means we are going to work on a dedicated “Deck Mode” with catered settings just for the Deck, to ensure the game is running as smoothly as it can on that hardware.
If you’re enjoying SunnySide, please let us know by leaving a review for the game. We are eager to know how you all are spending your time in SunnySide.
That’s it for this update, from myself (Rainy) and the team at RainyGames and Merge Games, thank you all for playing SunnySide and we’ll see you in the next update!
Information regarding Performance & Optimization
Hey everyone!
We thought it was very important to address something as quick as possible: Performance and Optimisation.
Thank you for leaving your feedback, we hear you all in the reviews and our Discord community. Following performance and optimisation issues that some users have been experiencing, the team is hard at work to create the first performance patch in the next couple of days. This will be the first of many updates and patches as we continue to support SunnySide post-release.
We hope that any performance issues you may face don’t stop you from enjoying what the game has to offer, but if it does rest assured that it is currently the most important topic at the studio.
We’ve also noticed a few users having trouble saving the game and making it past the first day. This issue is caused due to antivirus software preventing the SunnySide application from creating save files. To resolve this issue, please allow SunnySide as an exception in your antivirus software, and the issue should hopefully be resolved.
If you still have issues with saving, please feel free to either join our Discord community or post a topic on our steam forums. The team will help you as soon as possible.
We also want to say a massive thank-you to the amazing community for the support and love for the team and SunnySide. We couldn’t believe that SunnySide made it to the “New and Trending” tab and the whole team was freaking out! So thank you!
Thank you for reading, and we’ll see you soon in the next update with our first patch!

Start your farming journey today and get SunnySide now on Steam - with 20% off for a limited time!
It’s been a heck of a journey, but we’re finally here: Launch Day!
Let’s get the business out of the way, and then we’ll have some personal notes from the devs at the end of the update.
Some Notes for our Homesteaders:
Controller Support Controller Support in SunnySide has been marked as partially compatible. There currently isn’t an on-screen keyboard when using a controller, which is something we are working to implement post-launch - we’ll need this for the console release. We recommend that you play SunnySide with keyboard and mouse for the best experience, however you can play with controller if you choose - just be aware you may find an odd menu that doesn’t have controller support. Please feel free to let us know through bug reports of any issues and we’ll work to fix these as soon as possible.
Demos We’ve made some changes to the save system since the last demo update, so unfortunately saves from the demo won’t work with the full version of the game. Please clear your save folder before beginning a new full-game save.
You can find the save folder in your Documents>RainyGames>SunnySide inside you should be able to see your saves alongside a folder called “CC”, this folder contains your last character you made for the character creator. If you’d like to preserve your last created character for the character creator, delete everything in the SunnySide folder except for the folder “CC”. If you don’t care about keeping it, just entirely delete the SunnySide folder.
If you’re struggling with Steam Cloud, please post to the Steam forums or our Discord server and we’ll help you the best we can. However, we will be pushing an update to the demo. Anyone who downloads the demo after today will be able to continue their demo save into the full version.
Performance SunnySide is a huge game with an open world map and the potential for many hours of gameplay; with 113 plants to grow, 24 animals to raise, 27 NPCs to get to know and numerous side activities. The town of SunnySide is designed as a living, breathing place, and has been built by a very small development team We’re aware of some frame drop issues in certain parts of the town. These are a result of building interior maps loading in when you pass them. We’ve done everything we can do to optimize those smaller maps, but are now working to change how and when they load in. This is the first thing we’ll be working on in the coming weeks. We sincerely appreciate your patience while we get everything fully optimized, and we hope you can still fully enjoy the game despite the random pops.
What’s Next? SunnySide has been a labor of love since 2020, and RainyGames has every intention of continuing to support it as long as players love it! Our first priority is going to be smoothing out bugs and performance and giving hotfixes, and then we want to move on to QOL updates and then see what the future holds. Player feedback is really important to us, and your feedback will help shape what bug fixes and QOL improvements we include post-launch. ___
We also have a quick note from the devs:
Rainy: SunnySide will forever have a special place in my life. After Covid, my personal life started looking very bleak, the future looked uncertain and a fog of negativity was surrounding us. To borrow a sentence from Sean Murray, the creator of No Man’s Sky: “In the face of adversity, I always just kept my head down and did what I know how to do: make games” so that’s what I did. SunnySide was the escape, the only bright light in our life while reality looked scary. I started the Kickstarter campaign hoping people would fall in love with the atmosphere and the world I was envisioning in my head, but in all honesty, I never thought it’d be successful let alone become as big as it did. I am incredibly grateful and lucky to have had such a talented group of people join my efforts in bringing this game to life. I poured my heart and soul into this game and I hope this very first game of ours manages to find a place in your life as it did for me. Thank you for giving us a chance. <3
Sydney: My relationship with SunnySide was only ever meant to be as a KickStarter backer. (Yeah. I backed the game at an embarrassingly high tier). What started as an offer to help design a cooking system turned into the craziest adventure of my life, and I’m so thankful to Rainy for trusting me with such a fulfilling business partnership. I’ve only ever wanted to help him make the game of his dreams, and now more than ever I’m fully confident that we’ve achieved that. I’m also really thankful to Rainy, his partner Lauryn, and the whole SunnySide community for welcoming me and letting me add my own ideas and designs to SunnySide, and also being so patient with me when I maybe didn’t do the best job. I never thought I’d have the opportunity to be so creative and to share myself with so many people in such a personal way, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the future of RainyGames looks like. <3 <3 (And shout out to Kevin for being the best partner ever, for keeping me fed and watered and making sure I actually sleep <3 )
If you decide to buy SunnySide and play it, please do consider leaving a review. Not only does it help us understand our community, it also goes a very long way to maintain motivation and morale. Even if you have criticism to share, we want to hear it! The best thing you can do for SunnySide is tell your friends about it! Follow us on Socials, share our posts, and if you love SunnySide, please don’t be shy to tell the whole world about it! The better the game does, the more likely we’ll add more content, so let the word of mouth do its thing!

Some Highlights:
You can no longer destroy the tea house, vehicle shed or bicycle stand.
Fixed a problem with the messenger font on Simplified Chinese.
You can now pick up smaller animals you own, such as chickens, ducks and rabbits.
An update to wild animals, Raccoons now spawn properly and dig up your crops that are left in the open!
Cooking XP is now given to the player properly after cooking food or discovering new recipes.
All build items now have pre-rendered icons. This should massively improve the stability of both Philip's shop and player's buildmode.
Complete rework of how inventory items are loaded into the memory. This should improve the stability of the game and prevent inventory item related crashes..
All text messages now save properly overnight.
Loading a save from the in-game phone now works correctly.
Can no longer summon the bicycle outside of SunnySide.
PoptoBismuth now cures nausea.
Campgrounds have been polished and are ready for visitors
Gabe's Ranch has been deforested and his animals now enjoy open pastures.
Designated forest signs now spawn correctly. And are now visible on the map app and minimap.
Save slot system is now implemented. This is the final release version of how we'll be handling saving in SunnySide. You now have 5 slots to create new games in, this allows us to enable steam cloud as well as keep parallel to console versions.
As this is a whole new way of saving, please remove the SunnySide folder from your Documents>RainyGames directory.
This new system will most likely bring with it new edge cases, please be patient while we QA these.
Eye color now persists between saves and character creator and the game.
Digging prompt now displays what size is being dug.
You will now always wake up near where you slept last.
Gamepad camera control is now twice as sensitive.
Complete rework on vehicle inventories, they now save reliably.
Building is now blocked if the player is colliding with the object and will produce the relevant error.
Fixed a pretty big issue with the sky, where the sun angle based on season was not being refreshed at the start of a day. This system now works properly as it was intended. Summer days are now actually long while winter days are much shorter.
Racoons no longer have access to the Mage Hand cantrip and can no longer steal trees.
A massive amount of optimisation in Higashi.
Large optimisation in Farmer's Market.
Changes to flow of Intro Story and dialogue.
First release implementation of "Return to Last Sleeping Spot". This will replace the dev Home button return system and is release ready.
All hangouts now skip time by 2 hours at the end.
NOTE: Save slot system is now implemented. This is the final release version of how we'll be handling saving in SunnySide. You now have 5 slots to create new games in, this allows us to enable steam cloud as well as keep parallel to console versions.
