The silver lining here is that most of the teams for the next few games already work remote, and Kittens in SF is basically 98% finished. Which sounds relatively easy, but I have never felt this lethargic and aimless with any other cold or flu that I've had the chance of catching. There are maybe fifteen minute windows where I feel good enough to work on the game, but then those pass and I can't even think straight. Even with those fifteen minute windows, my body is constantly fluctuating between extreme hot and extreme cold.
I can't talk, I can't smell, and while I still retain my sense of taste, it's dull in most areas but extremely punctuated in others. It's super weird.
But wait, it's not all doom and gloom!
While the game may be delayed, it won't be delayed that long, as I'll be out of isolation next week and plugging away to get you, the general public, your yum-yums.
At the very least, I'll probably take this time to finish up work on some future store pages so we can announce some new products in the interim. Who knows.
If you can, please get vaccinated. I have a mild case, but knowing it is a mild case, I would not want anyone to experience a full-on case of COVID. Because I can't even begin to imagine what that feels like. I also am still deep in recovery from a prior surgery, so these two factors combined are..... not great.
The Halloween Retail Season sale is still on if you feel so inclined.
Was going to wait until the sale is over, but then again, February is absolutely packed with releases. Thought it best to release now.
Steam Lunar New Year Sale 2022!
Game Announcement: Planetkillerz!
Much like Joe Papp (okay, EXACTLY like The Ghost of Joe Papp), this also was a play written in college. I decided to adapt it as a game because it felt like material that I wanted to revisit given I had just received some really horrible news. It helped me process the stuff that I was feeling inside, and the game itself goes over topics like death, religion, and mass planetary extinction events.
