Super Bullet Break: Gameplay Mechanics
Welcome back everyone,
today's little update is going to talk you through some of Super Bullet Break's gameplay mechanics, so that you're all prepped and ready for yet another demo run and especially for the upcoming launch of the full game on August 12, 2022! 🎉
Here's a quick rundown of some of the game's most important mechanics:
First up, you've got your Action Gauge, which shows you the cost of using your selected Bullet as well as the wait value of your enemy (or enemies). Should your cost exceed the enemies wait value, it's their turn.
The Action Gauge is located on the top left of the screen during battle.
Shield & Armor can prevent damage from enemy attacks and are depleted based on the damage received - any excess damage will be dealt in HP.
Shield and Armor (and other mechanics) are displayed on the left of the HP bar.
Some of the game's map have level specific game mechanics, such as Seasons of Love, The Aquarhythm Deep and Phoenix Gunner.
Heartsplosion is the mechanic which is exclusive to Bullets from Seasons of Love. Charging it to 100 will result in an explosion causing Bullets to deal extra damage and hit enemies with a delay.
The Combo Beam is exclusive to Bullets from The Aquarhythm Deep. Similar to Heartsplosion, charging it to a multiple of 10 will cause damage to a random enemy.
Last but not least, Bullets from Phoenix Gunner may spawn Drones You are able to deploy up to five drones at the same time which can stack healing, armor, or attack.
Make sure to always check your Bullet's data to find out which Bullets use which mechanic and how they can be of benefit to you.
Most importantly, have fun playing and if you're in doubt or simply want to find out more about the ins and outs of Super Bullet Break, check out our game guide by clicking the link below.

Super Bullet Break: Game Maps
Welcome back everyone,
with the release of Super Bullet Break coming closer and closer, we thought it was about time to introduce you to some of the iconic game maps you'll be battling through on your way to victory. Each map takes inspiration from a classic and beloved game genre and consists of several stages.
Starting off with Monochrome Tactics! Some of you will have already played (and beaten?) Super Bullet Break's first game map, Monochrome Tactics. It's design and bosses are inspired by chess, one of the world's oldest game! Play as Akari and carefully plan your strategy to survive this first, surprisingly challenging map.
In Monochrome Tactics you'll inevitably meet childhood friends Haru (left) and Natsu (right), both of which are going to be incredibly helpful on your journey. The mage Natsu runs the Monochrome Tactics shop, but you might encounter her outside of shop blocks as well. If you do, you're in luck. The talented alchemist is known for giving adventurers items for their travels.
Similar to her friend, Haru will be useful to you if you encounter her on the map by introducing you to people who might like to join your team. She is sure to listen to any story you have to tell when you pass through her village.
Next up we've got Seasons of Love, which may remind you of classic Japanese dating sims! Make sure to have a solid long-term strategy handy when you tackle this map and to utilise its unique 'Heartsplosion' mechanic!
Part of Season of Love's quirky cast are Nanoha Kisaragi (right) and Airi Sakurasaka (left)!
Nanoha Kisaragi is a cheery bundle of energy who always seems to be munching on candies. It's probably better this way, you'll want to stay out of her way should she run out of sugar. So, make sure to always carry a supply of treats with you if you want to spend some time with her.
Airi Sakurasaka is a curious character ... quite literally. She seems to be a little too interested in you and she'll do anything to win you over, if you want to or not. Depending on whether you like her too she'll either be the best and easiest character to romance or the most difficult to deal with.
There's many more maps to explore but today we will be closing with Phoenix Gunner! Super Bullet Break has much to offer whether you're into cute and quirky maps or those a little more more gritty and mature - Phoenix Gunner covers the latter. As a throwback map to classic mecha games, its Bullets are almost exclusively bioweapons genetically enhanced with bird DNA.
Two of those infamous bioweapons are Nureha (left) and Awayuki (right)!
Nureha does not like her time being wasted - at all. She may seem a little rough on the outside but she cares deeply about others, whether she wants to admit it or not. The true artisan was born from raven DNA and likes her guns to be old-fashioned and accurate.
Awayuki, born from snowy owl DNA, on the other hand, is rather quiet and relaxed but don't be fooled by her calm nature. Although she will appear friendly even towards enemies, she won't hesitate to strike them down with her rocket launcher.
That's it for today, Super Bullet Breakers. We hope you enjoyed our little map and character introductions. We can't wait for you to play the game and to explore these amazing maps yourself!

Super Bullet Break: Key Features and Items
Happy Monday, Super Bullet Breakers,
long time no see! We hope you've enjoyed getting a first look at Super Bullet Break during Steam's Going Rogue event! Today, it's time to learn some more about Super Bullet Break's key features and items. Always remember, getting to know all about the key mechanics of a game, is the first step in becoming a true champion.
So, let's dive right in!
Key Features
First, and most importantly, there's no Super Bullet Break without its Bullets and there are over 160 of them - plenty to choose from! They're each beneficial in their own way and their data will not only show their Name but also their Rarity, Cost, Ability, Attack Power, and Attack Range.
Each Bullet is attached to a Cartridge indicating its Name, Value, Ability, and Activity.
For now, that's all the information necessary to navigate your Bullets and the Cartridges attached to them, so let's talk game features now.
Super Bullet Break is much more than just its battle mechanics (which we'll teach you about in time) but there's much more to explore.
How about you check out the Messages on your character's phone? Here you'll find Missions you'll need to progress, Game News which will update you on what's going on in the Game World, and Conversations which are fun and casual chatter between the girls!
The Field Guide is your place to check your progress, here you'll find the Bullets and Cartridges you have collected along the way, the story so far, as well as your gameplay records!
But that's not all, once you're getting started with the actual game there's much more to discover. We've talked about Bullets before but did you know you can get an extra Bullet by rolling up to 3 times for a Supporting Bullet at the beginning of each mission?
Another way to collect more Bullets is through Scouting Tickets which you can get a hold of a number of different ways by either being given them at Event Blocks, buying them, or winning them at Treasure Blocks. No matter how you get them, exchange them at the shop for a Bullet of your choice by selecting two data traits.
Items
Check your backpack to see, use, or discard a maximum of six items. They'll be useful for you in a number of different ways from restoring HP to giving you advantages over enemies. There's plenty of items to win and buy such as
Potions - They restore HP (depending on which type of Potion you acquire, they'll restore up to 30 HP)
Prophecy - This item inflicts a countdown on random foes but leaves bosses unaffected
Forbidden Fruit - They inflict confusion on all foes
Feeble Foes - This item, on the other hand, inflicts feeble on all foes
Buggo Amber - An item that dispels all enemies
... and soooo many more!
These are just a few of Super Bullet Break's amazing and fun features, but we just don't want to spoil the surprise.
Keep your eyes out for more exciting announcements and content coming your way.
