If your AI teammate has the ball, a button will appear next to player(s) that you control to request the AI player to pass the ball to you. They will attempt to pass the ball to you in the best way possible, if you are the first character to request the ball. A foot icon will flash on your player circle, to show other players in your team that you requested a pass.

One Touch & Headers
We have increased the randomness of the one touch & header actions. The accuracy for characters with lower attributes should now be more punishing.
Scoreboard alignment
We have fixed a visual alignment of the scoreboard at half time.

Cleaning out the bugs - Patch 4.0.2 Notes - 03/16
Movement changes
The momentum formula has been changed to provide a more gradual & consistent impact to move distance after a player changes direction. Previously, player momentum would not significantly decrease when changing direction.
Private match bugs
Resolved multiple bugs related to private match lobbies which caused lobbies to crash or players unable to enter the match.
Long shot bug
We have fixed a bug related to long shots, which prevented players from moving in the later phases.
Action change bug
We have fixed a bug which caused some actions to be displayed out of sync if the user decision was too close to the end of the turn.
Receive bug
Fixed a bug related to quick play which allowed a user to intercept a high pass in the red zone.
Losing attributes
Fixed a bug which reverted some player attributes to 0 if they were at a multiple of 10.

A new way to PLAY! - Patch 4.0.1 Notes - 02/24
Quick Play UI
A new way to play the game has been added for the tutorial and regular gameplay, called quick play.
When enabled, our AI will provide 3 suggestions to the player to choose from. Users can still choose to play the “classic” tutorial and can be toggled in the settings before a match if they want to change.
Homepage layout
Challenge mode has been renamed to the starter league and is now the main tile on the home screen.
Credit rewards are automatically given to the users who perform best in the starter league.
Connectivity improvements
We have included the option to rejoin private & starter league matches - like you can for competitive games. We have also resolved a bug causing some matchmaking games not to start.
Movement bug
We fixed a visual bug related to the distance players can move. Sometimes it would not be in sync with the match engine and caused some unexpected behaviour for players without the ball.
AI bugs
Some of the AI specific match engine bugs have been resolved. We will continue to investigate and improve the AI decision logic in future releases.
11v11 Camera zoom
We have changed the default camera zoom level for 11v11 matches. This can still be changed during the match if you want.

We have added help videos to some key pages, to explain some important features in more detail.

More work on the AI! - Patch 3.8.0 Notes - 12/28
Movement changes
We have completely reworked the formula for player movement and momentum. We now have unique formulas for 11v11 & 5v5 to provide a more balanced experience. In 5v5 the movement will be noticeably less, as we received feedback that it felt too extreme with high momentum.
Acceleration is now much more important when a player has low momentum. The speed attribute will dictate the max running speed and become more important with high momentum. Agility is only used for changing direction and does not impact the max running speed.
Faster turns
If only 1 user is on a team, the turn will end once an action is made rather than waiting the full 6 seconds. If the user has multiple characters, the turn won’t end unless all the characters have made a move or the 6 seconds have passed.
AI improvements
The GK characters controlled by AI should now position themselves better and make better attempts at saving shots. AI characters will no longer receive one touch & header actions incorrectly. The positioning of AI characters on kick-off should be more realistic depending on their position and the team formation.
Long shots
We have changed the logic in our match engine to calculate long shots. Previously it depended on the area of the pitch a shot was taken from. However, now it will be purely based on the distance from the goal.
Manager level pop-up
Fixed a bug with the manager level-up pop-up showing repeatedly after logging in.
Challenge mode
We now show a warning message if a user starts a challenge mode match without adding a character.

Christmas has come early! - Patch 3.7.0 Notes - 11/30
Match engine Christmas list
We asked our users on Discord for adjustments they’d like to see in the match engine. Here are the changes we have made:
Technique has slightly less impact on most actions with the ball
GK Save has been buffed, so less reaction distance is required to increase the chances of a successful save
One touch shots are now up to 10% faster than regular shots
Ball path colours
We have fixed some issues with the ball path colour of crosses and GK throws. The shade of colour should now be consistent with the areas that can be blocked.
Training drill loading times
We’ve made some adjustments to reduce the loading time of tutorial training drills.
Drill 7 help
We noticed a large percentage of new players failing the 7th training drill in the tutorial. We’ve added additional text help.
Formation bugs
We have fixed a few minor issues when switching formations during a match.

More visibility on when a match lobby will be created, if your club has signed up for a ladder match. Bot club trial contracts have been removed completely.

After reviewing new user feedback, we’ve added some overlays to the homepage to help new users navigate around the game easier.

If a user has no characters in a club, we have added some videos and a link to the discord on the competitive tab of the play screen.

New users now get pro license benefits for one month for free.
No nationality set

Making competitive matches more accessible! - Patch 3.6.0 Notes - 10/21
Flexible Ladder Tournament
We have changed the format of ladder tournaments, to allow clubs to sign-up for a match at any time of day in 15 minute time slots.
There will be visibility on other clubs that have signed up for time slots.
If no other clubs have signed up for the selected time slot, a fixture will be created against a bot club.
Bot clubs will no longer use trial contracts.
Inbox UI
The notification bug has been fixed, so the flashing message should only appear when you receive unread mail.
All character & user messages will now be displayed in a central inbox.
There is now an option to delete messages.
Headgear
Fixed a bug where the headgear wasn’t updating correctly.

Training Drill videos
To help new users understand some concepts of the game, we have added 5 new videos to the training drills tutorial.
Action odds display
Fixed a bug where negative actions were not being displayed. The odds of the ball receive when performing a one touch or header action are now displayed separately to the accuracy odds.
One touch & Header
These actions are now prevented from being used in offside positions. Fixed a bug with the Header shot ball path. Reduced the momentum to 75% for the player after performing a one touch or header action.
Goal posts
The alignment of goal posts has been fixed.
Competitive tab
The competitive tab tiles will order by the next scheduled match, if you have characters in multiple clubs. The next match will be displayed at the top.
Post match stats
Fixed a bug where a partial save that led to a goal would be recorded as a shot for the GK. Fixed a bug where shots on target and blocks were not being recorded correctly in some situations.
Club stars
The club stars were not updating correctly but now the ratings should be distributed evenly across all clubs.
Retire
Fixed a bug with the player retire option.
Hotkeys
Fixed a bug where hotkeys were being reset if the settings page was opened at certain points during a match.

Challenge mode
We’ve added a new game mode to give users a way to play with friends against AI teams, with the chance to win credits every season. We see this as a stepping stone for new users to get used to playing with others but also something for experienced users to grind and earn back credits. After each game, each user will earn or lose rating points and at the end of each season we will reward the best performing users with credits.
We are working to make improvements and bug fixes to our AI, to compliment this new game mode. Our AI developers have been impacted by the war in Ukraine, so we appreciate your patience and will try to complete the work as soon as possible.
Match ping
New feature for players to use during matches, so that you can quickly point out to teammates a position on the pitch. One use case for this feature will be to indicate where you want to receive a pass, but there are plenty of other situations it may be handy. Just hold down the ALT key and left click your mouse on the pitch to ping a position. Enable the option in system settings.
Tutorial videos
We’ve included some short videos to the tutorial of the game, to explain certain features in a bit more detail for new users.
Attribute Decay
Fixed a bug for how attributes are selected for decay, as characters get older.
Post match screen
Fixed a bug where the formations and player positions would sometimes be displayed for the opposite team.
