New Boss and a Pause Menu - v0.15

- I finally added an in-game Pause menu.

Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where killing medium sized squids would crash the game.
- Fixed a bug where Triclops wouldn't attack for over 30 seconds.

Balance:
- Drones now explode when the player dies (sorry).

Rebindable Controls - v0.14.1

- Updated one of Buddy's attacks
- Added rebindable controls to the options menu

Small update this week, just added the option to rebind the controls if desired and I fixed a small issue with one of the bosses. You can also reset the bindings to the default settings if needed! The next patch is also going to be kind of small and will feature the ability to pause during Endless Mode. Ideally this will be out sometime next week if not sooner.

From the main menu:

I've also updated the default keyboard controls, but of course these can now be updated to whatever the player wants:

Move - Arrow keys
Shoot - Z
Special - X
Dash - C
Change Weapon - A/S
Focus - Left Shift

v0.14 Updates


- Added a new boss: Gojin. He's a "hard" boss, so you should only see him in the later waves.
- Added Arcade Stick mode to the options menu (increases the player's drag making digital input more manageable).
- Increased player i-frames (small adjustment).
- Spawned drones (green special), now have i-frames when warping.
- The mouse cursor now autohides when inactive on the title screen.

Patch v0.13.3

v0.13.3 Updates


- Asteroids now contribute to score
- Fixed some level boundary issues when playing in an aspect ratio of 16:9.
- Added a quick fix so that Calamaro will never spawn as the first or second boss (temporary until more bosses are added).
- Made some small changes to the Umbrella fish (heals other enemies):

  • A warning sign now appears before the enemy rises from the bottom of the screen.
  • They now heal surrounding enemies for more health per second.
  • Changed the healing particle effect to be a bit more obvious

Patch v0.13.2 is live!

Just a quick patch to add some small quality of life changes here and there. I'll have a bigger update with a new boss out hopefully by this weekend.



v0.13.2 Updates


- Added a lives indicator in the top left when in-game.
- Added the ability to restart Endless Mode by holding down the start button (also works with the escape key).
- Increased powerup drop rate and the amount of energy they replenish.
- Changed the menu font to minimize the UI size.

Super Crome is Out Now!



There is still so much work that needs to be done before we reach version 1.0, but for now v0.13.1 is live and ready to be played on Steam!

My plan over the next half year is to push as much new content to Endless Mode as possible (enemies, bosses, weapons, random encounters, etc). I'm also working on making the in-game Leaderboard a bit more accessible to allow players to more easily see where they stand with the rest of the world.

Lastly, I'd love to hear what you think about Super Crome! I want to use Early Access to it's full potential, so please feel free to reach out to me or post on the discussion board and I'll do my best to respond asap!
