General gameplay
Improved ground and aerial stability for all vehicles.
Improved handling and drift mechanics for all vehicles.
Adjusted vehicle collision handling to be less erratic.
Tilted the 3rd person camera angle ever so slightly upwards.
Tracks
Petal Ponds and Petrol Plains: Adjustments to out of bound-areas and barriers, placement and power of boost arrows, placement and density of doodads and hazards, and more.
Obstacles
Hay bales now weigh less and has less friction and drag to reduce the risk of players getting stuck in stacks of them. But they are still heavy enough to be a slight nuisance if not careful. Remember to have a nitro handy if needed!
Items
Slightly lowered invincibility duration after being hit by an item.
Improved visuals and behaviour of goop balls.
Slightly increased the speed of the self-propelling propeller.
Very slightly increased the speed of missiles.
Adjusted item roulette probabilities.
Features
Added controller reconnect system for when an input device in use by a player is disconnected.
Greatly improved overall handling of input devices (gamepads, keyboard).
Improved visualisation of currently connected players and devices.
Miscellaneous
Updated several particle effect visuals to be more in line with the rest of the game.
Revised English and Swedish texts for various entries in the in-game driver's manual.
Tons of various bug fixes, touch-ups, visual improvements and much, much more all over the place.
Keep in mind that the game is still in development and bugs and other oddities may be present. If you encounter anything you don't like (or do like) please let me know!
Enjoy the update!
Love, The Developer
The Developer speaks to you!
Hey, Super Gosu Cars fans! The Developer here. I just wanted to drop by to give you all a long overdue update of the game's progress. And don't worry, it's almost all good news! Skip to the end of this post for a summary!
First off I'm stoked to see so many people still wishlisting the game (yes, there are like literal plurals of you. plurals!!!) despite the two months of radio silence from yours truly. I have notified the Social Media, Communications and Public Relations team* here at Codeborn and they have promised me that they will pick up the pace from now on (but I don't trust those guys so I will need to keep a close eye on them).
So anyway, while the communications team might have been slacking this summer, the Game Design, Programming and Graphics team* sure haven't! All the super hard effort they've put into the full game will consequently bring you an updated version of the game's demo really soon™, with lots of improvements, fixes and stability both visual and gameplay related, so keep an eye out for that!
Until then you can check out the rad new screenshots of the game that I have taken the liberty to sneak out of the office to share with you all. There's like plenty of them! Some really cool, some really hot and something for everyone I hope!
Lastly, I'm sure that some of you have taken note that the game have long been scheduled for an early access release this summer. Now, you might go "Hey, mr. Developer, summer's almost over! What's going on?". And to be honest with you I had hoped to have the game out by the end of August, buuut that's not happening... HOWEVER! I just looked up the technical definition of astrological summer here in the northern hemisphere. And guess what!? It turns out that summer doesn't end until September 23!
So there you go. Mark your calendars! Slap them wishlist buttons! Pop the champagne or other drink of your choice: Super Gosu Cars will be released as Early Access on September 23, 2022! More info about this, such as pricing, etc, will be reveled as the destined date draws closer.
Summary
Full version early access releasing on September 23, 2022.
Demo version to be updated soon™.
New screenshots of the game available for all to share and enjoy.

Community Feedback Update
The Steam Next Fest is entering its last few days and an exiting and super gosu week is drawing to an end soon! Over the week plenty of you have tried out the demo and supplied me with a lot of helpful feedback, and a small "thank you"-patch was just released to adress a couple of the most requested features.
Gameplay
Overall better traction, less spin-outs and improved aerial stability for all vehicles in the game. Not perfect, but we're getting there.
Players can now call upon the helpful claw when they lose their way on the racetrack. Default bindings are for gamepads and for keyboards and can be rebound in Options->Controls. See the Driver's Manual in-game for more info.
Going off-road is now slightly more forgiving for most vehicles.
Going in reverse is now more responsive for all vehicles.
Braking no longer impairs your vehicle's ability to turn.
Various adjustments to the tracks Petrol Plains and Petal Ponds to minimize the risks of getting stuck or lost.
Most vehicles now achieve the minimum bonus boost from drifting a slight tad faster.
Running over an item box now plays a sound effect.
Other
Tutorial / Driver's Manual visibility has been improved. If you haven't found it already then you hopefully will do so now.
Bugfixes
Resolved an issue where the top 5 time trial results were sometimes not displayed after finishing a time trial race with a time that was outside the top 5.
Resolved an issue where certain vehicle and character combinations would cause the drift-stats bar on the vehicle and character select screen to stop working.
Known issues
Reconnecting a disconnected/unplugged gamepad for a player will sometimes result in that gamepad being registered as a new device instead of being reconnect to the player, resulting in that player's vehicle becoming unplayable. For now the known ways of fixing this is to either keep reconnecting the gamepad until it works, going back to the main menu and disconnect all gamepads/keyboards by closing the main menu and then reconnecting them, or simply restarting the game. I apologize for the inconveniences caused and hope to have this resolved in a future update.
