Super Grav

Update v1.3.7: New Leaderboard and Achievements Features

Super Grav update v1.3.7 adds some new Leaderboard and Achievements features:

In-game Achievements / Stats page:

All Leaderboard entries now show dots to signal if the score was in multiplayer - great if you like watching others' MP co-op / race replays:

The reason for the dots is multiplayer online replays can be pretty hilarious so this is an easy way to find them, eg when someone gifts a life in co-op mission to their buddy who then proceeds to go and 'accidentally' shoot them :D

Support For Classic SNES and NES-Style Gamepads Added

Update v1.3.6 adds support for a bunch of classic SNES and NES-style gamepads:

  • iBuffalo Classic USB GamePad (wired - fantastic gamepads for 4-Player Grav!)
  • 8Bitdo SNES30 / SFC30 GamePad (wireless SNES-style gamepad)
  • 8Bitdo NES30 / FC30 GamePad (wireless NES-style gamepad)
  • 8Bitdo NES30 Pro GamePad (wireless full-button/stick gamepad)

All should work on all platforms with no additional drivers.

The wireless gamepads all work via USB OR via Bluetooth, but not both at the same time, otherwise the game thinks two pads are connected and the game will show a phantom non-working pad.

Most wired SNES-style USB Gamepads should work too - tested with pads from CSL and PiHut. Be wary of the very cheap SNES-style pads, the quality is usually reflected in the price!

Please let me know if you have a gamepad that doesn't work as expected and I will add support to a future build.

Update v1.3

Super Grav has just been updated!

What's New in v1.3:

  • Redefinable Keys
  • More bonus points available in Missions
  • Added Support for SNES-style "USB Gamepad" controllers
  • Running Mission Leaderboard scores now post during run
  • Pacifist Achievement progress bugfix

Redefined keys are saved on a per-device basis, rather than in the Steam Cloud and shared across devices - this is because of potential keyboard differences on each device.

Mission Star score bonuses have increased from 3,000 to 4,000 for 2 Stars, and from 6,000 to 10,000 for 3 Stars. 1 Star still gives a 1,000 point bonus.

The Mission score time bonus has now been doubled, and lasts twice as long. This means the time bonus still drops at 60 point per second (per player), but now there is a bonus if the mission is completed in under 10 minutes on a typical 4-crate mission (as opposed to 5 minutes). More crates give more potential points and more time.

All this means you will need to run through all the Missions again to get newly competitive scores, and means any replays saved before v1.3 will show a greater score at the end than what is shown on the Leaderboard.

If you have a game controller that doesn't work as expected, please email me! I want to support as many as possible, but it is a total nightmare supporting the mappings of a multitude of different controllers on multiple platforms (that sometimes have different mapping) and I am just a one man indie game dev who doesn't (yet) own every controller ever made :D

Super Grav Original Soundtrack

If you enjoy the original retro electronica soundtrack used in Super Grav, created especially for the game by DaveDexterMusic, then why not check out the digital album, available now for your listening pleasure:

It's "name your price" with no minimum, but all donations are greatly appreciated.

Note: The music in the secret bonus game is me on keyboard playing Beethoven's Für Elise
