Hey, so I don't know if the announcement reached players of our other games, but I made a pretty cool interactive horror flick of a game, I'd say it's the most "complete package" game I've released so far. Feel free to check it out and buy it if it interests you!
I've thrown together a quick update, the update does the following:
- DLC benefit further clarified. - Achievement numbers fixed. - x86(32bit Windows) is now the main build, increasing compatibility.
SUPER RECOILFIGHT RELEASE

So this is it. SUPER RECOILFIGHT is out of Early Access. I've released a final update that adds better resolution scaling in the menu, does some minor improvements, and removes the bug with a map layout where players wouldn't spawn, bringing map count back up to 19.
Thoughts
I'd like to apologize for the game's lack of growth since its Early Access release. I was planning things: powerups, levels with obstacles and more modifiers, but it is not easy to read who has a powerup and who doesn't, new modifiers feel forced and not as game-changing as the existing 3, and the AI is incapable of avoiding lethal obstacles.
I decided to leave the game as is rather than release unbalanced, uninspired, or unfun content. To do these properly would require great effort for a marginally small return in terms of game quality.
I finished what 16-year-old me started as a one-week project and entertained more than twenty-five thousand players through the course of Early Access. This hasn't been monetarily profitable, but I don't regret a second I spent on it.
So thanks for your time playing the game, reading these notes, you're why we make videogames. At the end of the day, this doesn't have to be a farewell, the OKSoft library is sizeable and growing. So, see you in the patch notes for another one of our games, you absolute legend.

New online functionality + Future updates for SUPER RECOILFIGHT

As you know, SUPER RECOILFIGHT sadly has no online functionality. This is not subject to change. However, Steam has recently introduced the "Remote Play Together" feature, which allows you to play local multiplayer games with your friends over the internet. SUPER RECOILFIGHT is a party game meant to be enjoyed with friends and we always wished we could add online functionality, so grab some friends and give it a whirl!
In terms of updates, I'm aware and fixing the glitched map and will probably add a powerup mechanic. After that, I plan to release the game from early access to focus my effort on our larger team projects.
Do note, you need a pretty fast connection and there is no matchmaking of any sort. This isn't an official online mode. It still does work and it still is fun though.
Update 1: Cranking it up to 11
Update 1 for SRF has been published and focuses mostly on enhancing the game in miniature ways to make it a more satisfying experience. Changelog follows.
- Added win sounds, clearly inspired by old arcade fighters, meant to make winning more satisfying.
- Dropped fire time from 0.8 seconds to 0.7 seconds, hence making the game faster paced and AI smarter. The new shot timer should allow players to use one shot to move and the next to kill more efficiently, increasing the skill ceiling.
- Increased camera shake by two thirds and cranked bloom up ever so slightly in order to add more "juice" and visual feedback to the gameplay and graphics.
- Updated the "How To Play" section with info on controlling the music and scene selection.
- Various small changes to seamlessly integrate the updates listed above.
Expect powerups to come next update and next update to come soon™. I've just returned from Eid celebrations with my family and cranked this update out ASAP as I wanted to respond to community feedback and improve the game ever so slightly before getting into the real additions. I expected to do more with this update but noticed a mistake which caused me hours of extra work, hence not being able to get powerups out tonight, now that said backend issue is fixed, I'll have less trouble updating the game in the future.
Day 2 Patch: Exploit and Achievement Fixing + What to Expect
I've put out the first of probably many updates for SUPER RECOILFIGHT, patch notes are as follows:
- Fixed an exploit where you could easily rack up wins by only spawning one pc player
- Fixed an exploit where the win counter wouldn't reset when you Alt+F4 and relaunch the game
- Fixed an issue that caused achievement images to be broken
Expect many updates to this game with a couple big and small features and small fix/improvements for any exploits/issues the community finds. I know it is peak "famous last words", but the game must be exploit/bug free right now, at least enough to start adding features. Features planned for the very near future are win/death sounds and powerups.
