Demo released! You can now try Super X Chess for free!
Demo includes:
Ability to play against AI on single player.
All game modes: Super X Chess, Super960 and Normal Chess
Tutorial for Super X Chess and Normal Chess
Demo doesn't include:
Scenarios (over 60 different chess variants)
Online multiplayer & Local multiplayer
Ability to customize AI difficulty levels, but there's still ability to change the challenge level by adding bonus material to either to your opponent or to your own army. The difficulty level in the demo is still a suitable challenge for many players and it serves as a good, soft introduction to the game.
I also keep updating the game and these updates will not be included in the demo.
To play the demo a PC with 64-bit processor is needed. Full version is available on Mac and Linux!
Patch 1.11 is live
- Added ability to hide the GUI in-game with esc button. The second press will reveal the GUI again. This is pretty good to have feature for taking pretty screenshots.
-Fixed a few bugs.

Russian language is now added and so this is the first official patch of the game and I hereby will claim that the game has reached version 1.1.
Graphics fix
Recent update of graphics didn't come without bugs. The game graphics weren't working on many resolutions. Now they are!
