Global Tournament Coming Up!
The official global series will start off with regional tournaments in Europe, America and Asia, where we’ll draft the best team from each region to represent their playerbase.

Early Access Pricing Survey
Back in August, we put out an SBT pricing survey, where we asked players to vote for the business model of SBT based on their perceptions of the game.
With final Beta launching for more than a week now, we came across players asking for the pricing model over and over again. It has come to our mind that we have to make a decision sooner rather than later.

What's Next For SBT?
Throughout the past week, the team have received loads of feedback & BUG reports.
With a limited amount of human resources, we did not reply to every single message. However, after Beta finishes, we'll finally have time to sort out all the feedback & BUG reports accordingly.
We'll collect feedback & BUG reports from in-game survey, official Discord server, Email and various social media channels.
The team will make sure to continue to optimize the game and adjust the gameplay based on player feedback, stay tuned on our social media for more updates about the future development next year!
We've seen plenty of new faces joining the Beta over the past week. Many of them were astonished by the skills that seasoned players had, and the potentials of Super Buckyball Tournament beyond a basic tutorial.
Here's a great example on how the game could be played out
Therefore, we've decided to extend the Beta for an extra few days and give new players more time to practice their skills, whether is to scrim before the tournament actually started, or simply learn more from top tier players and get better at the game.
The detailed server closing time will be announced later.
Tournament Star Player Highlights
Aside from Beta extensions, we'll also be sharing some star player videos over the next few days to introduce tournament players while helping new players quickly master the technics. Watch out for the video tomorrow!
Regional Tournament Time & Sign Up Still Available
After community consensus, we felt it's more viable to switch the time of the tournament from weekdays to weekends. The new time for the tournament is listed as follows:
European Tournament: January 2nd (Sunday) 3PM CET American Tournament: January 2nd (Sunday) 4PM EST
As a result, the sign up for the European and American tournament has been extended until Dec 28th Tuesday 1 AM EST. Players that wanted to participate will still get a chance to sign up before it officially closes tomorrow!

We’re excited to announce the first-ever Super Buckyball Tournament global tourney!
Four Best Teams will compete internationally for a grand prize of $600 USD!
The official global series will start off with regional tournaments in Europe, America and Asia, where we’ll draft the best team from each region to represent their players.
These teams, along with the best team from Pathea development team will compete internationally in the grand championship later to find out which region has the most competitive SBT scene!
Prize for each Regional Champions: $100 USD each player Grand Prize for Global Champions: $200 USD each player
We’re still working on finding the best time to host the European and American tournaments, feel free to leave your suggestions!
The regional tournaments should happen sometime next week. As a result, the Beta will be extended until next week as well. The global tourney is currently scheduled for January next year.
The sign up for the official regional tournaments has already opened and will close at 1 AM EST Monday Dec 27th, so hurry up before it’s too late!

Since the Final Beta launch yesterday, we've had a few players asking where they can download and join the Beta.
While the Playtest button is already visible on our steam page, we thought there might be players having difficulties navigating through the store, especially with the brand new Playtest feature.
As a result of this, the team has brought back the Demo download button as an alternative way for people to join our final Beta.
After this Beta, we’re gonna start prepping for Early Access release, so your feedback now is critical!
Important: after playing, please complete this survey to let us know your thoughts and help make the game better! As our thanks, you’ll get 5 loot boxes to unlock fun stuff in-game, which will be usable during this Beta only. Loot boxes are a new addition to the game that contain cosmetic items, including skin parts, player icons, name banners, MVP animations, victory poses, emoji, etc.
Data from this Beta, including rewards from loot boxes, will not be carried over to Early Access, but gameplay and content will be subject to change based on your feedback.

As a flexible goalie, the addition of K1-D will sure add more diversity to the roster.
He's an extremely fun character to use, thanks to the high mobility attributes and skillsets. Can't wait to see guys try him out in the Beta next Thursday!

November Dev Update - Hallie Arriving In December!
Greetings fellow buckyballers!
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
It has finally come to the end of November, which means, time for another developer update!
Over the past month, the dev team has been working very hard on adding more contents into the game and preparing for the upcoming Beta.
It'll still take a bit of time before we can comfortably announce the dates, since we want to make sure all the new contents get checked before it's out.
As the Beta is just around the corner, in this dev update, as well as the days leading up to the test, we'll start to unfold all the major changes coming into December, let's check it out!
Beta Sign Ups
The upcoming Beta will be distributed exclusively via our Steam Playtest channel, and the sign up for the playtest has already opened on our steam page.
If you still haven't signed up yet, be sure to register so you can get notified once the Beta goes live!
Back in September, we revealed Hallie, an upcoming goalie that was designed to compete with Gridiron, R47 and provide more options for defensive players.
We were unable to share her skillsets with everyone at that time, considering she was still undergoing significant adjustments.
However, as we're quickly approaching the Beta, it's finally about time to showcase what she is capable of!

Afterimage
Apart from Hallie's character skillset, we'd also like to share a new common skill 'afterimage' that is coming into the game in December.
Players can select this skill at the start of the match, after activating, it'll start a countdown and leave a ghost tracing the player's starting position. Players can either reactivate it after a few seconds to return to the starting position, or wait until the countdown ends to automatically return to the starting position. During the countdown, players will receive a minor speed boost.
With enough proficiency, you can even block your own ultimate! Although I doubt anyone will actually use that on the pitch :)
This common skill should come in very handy, especially for goalkeepers that needed to go attack while still wanting to trackback instantly.
Besides afterimage, we do have a few more common skills arriving in the next Beta. The idea is to encourage a diverse selection of common skills and provide a more vibrating gameplay experience.

We were able to get our hands on a Steam Deck last week, thanks to the amazing people at Valve.

As you might know, in the past few months, we have spent a lot of time optimizing the look and feel of the game. And now, we’d like to invite you guys to come to try and enjoy the game for yourselves. Currently, our team are working on final adjustments which should be ready next month.
Steam Playtest
This time, instead of a regular demo, we've decided to utilize the new Steam Playtest feature, where players can sign up for the limited playtest in advance and once the test is live you'll receive an email notification to join and play.

We will be announcing the exact dates of the test later, but for now, players can already sign up for this Playtest! It can be found on the main store page under the planned release date.
In this dev update, we'll give you guys a rundown on some of the big things we've been working on for the past month.
Ever since our July beta test, we have made tons of changes and improvements to the look and feel of the game. From revamping the stadium to tweaking character abilities and ultimates, we are trying our best to make the game more fluid and fun. Read more about all the changes we made in our August and September developer update.

It will still take some time before we complete all the changes and are satisfied with the gameplay. We still have tons of bugs and details to work through, so please be patient with us. More information about the specific time and content for the upcoming playtest will be disclosed very soon.
Upcoming Features
As part of the next playtest, we'll be introducing victory poses and MVP animations. These can be obtained as items so that you can jazz up your character's stance and parade your victories.
Victory Poses - Customizable character stance as a team at the end of a winning match. Here you can see a squad flaunting their triumphant victory.
MVP Animations - Customizable "Most Valued Player" character animation, spotlighting the player with the highest points at the end of a match.
Many more of these animations and poses are still in development. We hope to give players more customizability and have every match filled with personality in the near future. Again, feel free to comment and let us know what you think about it :)
