It's very different from Superflight but we think it's still very true to our core philosophy of making small, focused experiences and advertising them as honestly as we can. Check it out, watch the "gameplay explanation" trailer and decide for yourself if you think you could enjoy this. We hope you will! :)
Cheers and thank you all for your support,
GrizzlyGames
First of all: Thank you for your amazing continued support! We've received so many great messages from you and seeing that people still enjoy our little game so much is an amazing experience for us.
In the meantime, we've been very busy working on our new game which is now finally announced! It's called ISLANDERS, and it's filled with colorful, procedurally generated little worlds for you to explore! This time though, instead of flying through them, you get to build beautiful cities and settlements.
Take a look and add the game to your wishlist to be notified for further developments:
It's a very different game from Superflight, but we think that it's a very fitting "sequel". Our goal once again was to bring you something intuitive, relaxing and fun which you can come back to over and over to enjoy for a bit at the end of the day. Here are some screenshots for you:
Again, thank you all for your support, patience and kind messages!
Cheers,
GrizzlyGames
New Leaderboard
Hey everyone,
As you could read in the previous announcement, we fixed our scoring system because it allowed players who played at framerates above 60FPS to get way more points than others.
Now that everybody gets the same score per second for their maneuvers, we’ve decided to reset the leaderboards for Superflight. You can still see the old one in the game’s Steam community, but your ingame rank now depends on a new leaderboard. We think this is the fair for us to go, since now everybody is playing by the same rules.
Sorry if this means you’re losing a highscore or combo you’ve worked hard for, we hope you can still understand and support our decision.
Thanks again for all your support and feedback, we hope you keep having fun with the game!
Cheers,
Friedemann, Paul & Sha

Minor fixes
Hey everyone,
Just a quick update addressing some smaller issues, as always, you might have to restart Steam for the update to download. Here’s what’s changed:
Fixed frame-based scoring
This is really embarrassing but our score system worked frame based up to this point. Big thanks to the person who pointed this out to us! If you’re running the game at 60FPS nothing changes with this update. However, if you’re running it a bit slower (or faster), you’ll now get the same amount of points per second as everyone else. Sorry to everyone who got lower scores until now because of this!
Show your current score while flying
Many community members wished for a score display during flight. This was easy to implement so you can now toggle it in the gameplay settings.
Minor UI-fixes for ultra-wide displays
We made some changes to the praises and multipliers, so they adapt better to ultra-wide displays. This is really hard for us to debug, since none of us has such a screen, so if you’re playing Superflight on ultra-wide it would be super nice if you left a quick comment under this update to let us know if the praises & multipliers look fine. Thanks!
We’ll keep working on new features and remaining issues you reported to us, as always, please let us know if you experience any trouble with the game. Thank you all so much for your support and positivity!
Cheers,

Gameplay Fixes
Hey everyone,
We’ve just uploaded the next update that addresses some of the most pressing gameplay-issues you have been reporting to us since launch. For those who are still encountering input-problems, we’re super sorry about that. We are currently looking into implementing a new input-plugin that should fix the remaining problems, but that might take a little longer.
Here’s a quick overview of what’s changed with this update:
No more getting pressed against walls!
Before this update, there was a chance that a wind pressed you into the walls when flying to far from the centre. Since that’s super frustrating, we decided to just get rid of that wind, it wasn’t that cool anyways.
Instead, if you fly to far away from a map now, you get teleported to the next one, just like at the bottom of a map. You can also fly way further out before this happens than before, so it shouldn’t be a problem, even in the bigger maps. We hope this fixes the issue for you!
No more insta-death-maps! (Hopefully)
Sometimes, when getting to a new map, our wonderful level-generation-code chose to place an obstacle right in your face which caused you to die instantly. This was stupid and infuriating, so we changed it. We apologize for any destroyed controllers and/or keyboards as a result of this.
Because there’s infinite maps and you can fly into them at many different angles, depending on how you flew into a portal, we can’t be 100% sure if we managed to eliminate this issue completely. If you still encounter it, please let us know. It’s now very easy for us to re-tweak the level-generator.
Minor bug-fixes and performance improvements
We’ve also fixed a few minor issues. These include: Floating trees being spawned in some maps, Praise- & Multiplier-sounds not being affected by the Audio-Settings and some minor UI stuff. On some machines, the update should also increase the game’s performance a bit. Nothing life-changing but still :)
That’s it for this update. Again thank you all so much for your support and being patient with us when you encounter issues. It might sometimes take us a little while to get back to people, because there’s so much going on around the game and we’ve still got day jobs, internships, etc… but we’re reading everything and try to get back to people as soon as we can. Hope you can understand this.
Have a good time with the game and let us know if anything doesn’t work!
Cheers,
Friedemann, Paul & Sha
Controller Issue Update
Hey everyone,
Since launch, there’ve been a few people who couldn’t play the game because the controls were glitching and kept pulling up or down. With this update, we hope to fix this issue. Big apologies to everyone who couldn’t play the game because of this issue and thank you so much for your patience, feedback and help in fixing this.
Quick Note: You might have to restart Steam in order to download the update.
If everything goes to hell now, please tell us
We had to rework our entire input-structure, so we’re really nervous to break something. We tested everything as good as we could, but you never know. So if anybody encounters new problems after this update, please let us know! If we really messed up bigtime, we can always roll back to the previous version.
If you’re still encountering problems with your input after this update, please try turning of vJoy if you have it installed. It seems to conflict with Unity’s Input sometimes. If that still doesn’t solve it - Damn it! Please let us know, we’ll do everything we can to fix your problem.
Other changes
Only something very small, but people have asked for it a few times and it was super easy to implement: You can now adjust your menu-click-sound-volume in the Audio-Settings. Yay!
That’s it, let us know if this fixed the controller problem for you, we’d be so happy if everybody finally got to play the game. Again, we’re very sorry about the issue! Keep being awesome, thank you for your support and have fun with the game - we’ll start working on the next update :)
Cheers,
Friedemann, Paul & Sha
Thank you & what's next:
Hey everyone,
short update on the development of Superflight. First of all, thank you so much! We’re super happy about how well the first four days after release went. We never expected that so many people would enjoy our small game. Thank all of you for your awesome feedback, community discussions and content you’ve created!
In the next days we plan to release some updates that fixes issues/bugs and add improvements to the game.
We’ve received an incredible amount of great suggestions for features from you people, the suggestions-thread alone has received more than 100 entries in 4 days. However, we’re afraid that we won’t end up implementing too many of them. We want to continue being as honest and open with you as possible, so here’s our reasoning behind this decision:
Resources
As most of you know, we’re 3 students who made this game as part of our second year at university. That means our resources for developing this game are incredibly limited. Lots of the features sound real easy in theory until you start implementing them.
Some of our code sucks
There, we said it. As mentioned above, this was a second year university project. And therefore, some of the things we programmed and implemented were - let’s say not super clever. Things that would otherwise be rather straight forward to implement are made really really hard by our past stupidity.
Focus
We’re actually pretty happy with Superflight’s simplicity. And judging from your reactions and the user reviews, you seem to like it too. We enjoy that the controls are easy enough to be understood by a 6-year old in a minute but can still provide fun for a 30 year old after 4 hours of playing. We don’t want to fall into the trap of adding too much stuff in the game and ruining what we made. The game is meant to be something fun and simple for in between and we’d like to leave it that way. Instead of spending the next years adding stuff to Superflight, we’d rather move ahead and create new games for you!
Please read this part: This doesn’t mean we won’t add any new features or stop working on the game! Our top priority is to fix the bugs that you’ve found and make sure the game works for everyone. If we find a feature that we think adds something great to the game without distracting from the original experience and isn’t too hard for us to implement, you’ll get it. So keep those suggestions coming, we’re always happy to hear them :)
We hope you can understand this. Again, thank you so much for your support, great feedback and your patience if you experienced bugs or other issues. There hasn’t been a single situation where we didn’t enjoy interacting with you, which is amazing. Keep having fun with Superflight! :)
