Patch 1.3.3 is flying with jetpacks! + News about the roadmap.

You can now play find, build jetpacks and equip them in SurvHive. You will be able to reach new spots that were out of reach before (well, especially for humans).




  • One Jetpack is available on each map on round start.
  • Engineers can build new ones.
  • Use it as a human to flee from agile aliens.
  • Use it as an alien to attack from the sky with your appendix.
  • We will fine-tune jetpack settings depending on the feedback we get from the community (if it should fly longer for example), just tell us what you think.


It's been a few months since the latest patch, but be assured that we are working hard to keep SurvHive alive. We know that our Discord community is waiting for new stuff and we're working hard on those. The next patch will be a bigger one, as it will finally introduce a new non-humanoid alien species...



We also want to add new perks for each classes, and they will be introduced very soon(tm).

We are also working on a new snowy/icy map, we will post some more details about that pretty soon...

Patch 1.3.2 introduces Mechs !

You can now play Mechs in SurvHive. Whether you are a human or an alien, this new feature will help you sustain, and cause heavy damage.


  • One Mech is available on each map on round start.
  • Engineers can build new ones (mech fights anyone?), as well as repairing them when they are damaged.
  • Soldiers with the "pilot" trait are able to drive them more efficiently (150% speed when moving)..
  • Use it as a human to resist alien infections. Aliens can damage you though, so be careful.
  • Use it as an alien to approach camping humans, get out and infect them quickly!
  • On Aurora don't forget to crouch slightly in order to pass under some smaller passages.
  • Sentry guns have been buffed (causing more damage).
  • Other minor bugfixes.


Some bugs have been spotted during our gaming sessions tonight (thanks to everyone who participated!), two major bugs are already fixed in the latest hotfix, and some less game-breaking ones will be handled in the upcoming days.

SurvHive is well alive, and a lot of patches will follow to add new gameplay contents, so stay tuned!

Patch 1.3.1

Patch 1.3.1 is out! This small patch fixes two issues that appeared with the sabotage update, and tweak the gameplay balance in favour of starting aliens by drastically limiting the number of spawned radios ingame.


  • From now on, soldiers will only be given a radio if no other radio is currently owned within the current round.
  • System boxes will now longer disappear when bouncing onto them.
  • The duplicate "light box" on Kepler has been removed.

Major Gameplay Update : Sabotaging!

Time to give those humans some challenge, because we, shapeshifters, are going to sabotage everything. Welcome to SurvHive, version 1.3!



This update introduces big changes in the gameplay: Aliens are now able to disable various systems by sabotaging them using weapons if they are shape-shifted, or claws under their alien form. Those systems can be repaired using a wrench. You will be able to find wrenches here and there on the maps. Engineers now start directly with a wrench and they can also build more of them if needed.

List of sabotable systems (more systems such as Oxygen and Temperature will be added soon):

  • Shuttle
  • Machine Room
  • Lights (on Aurora)


This patch also fixes some other minor bugs.

We are now going to do big efforts on visibility in order to bring more players to the game. We will keep you posted about our progresses. Hope you'll have fun!

Now the breakdancing bug is officially a feature!

We are currently working hard on a big patch that will add a whole new layer of mechanics to the game: Sabotaging and repairing systems. We hope you will like it... meanwhile thanks a lot for your patience :)

We are also preparing a big plan to bring more players on our servers, and this will be done just after the patch. On your side please don't hesitate to talk about the game around you, this is still the best way to spread the word about SurvHive. Thank you so much everyone, we love our community, we love you!

Patch 1.2.1 out!

Shape-shifters from the dark side,

Patch 1.2.1 is out, and is mainly about bug fixes and slight improvements here and there.


  • Alien player names won't be displayed anymore when chat messages are intercepted through the Cultist's Alien Language perk.
  • Alien Claws and Appendix attacks will now register correctly.
  • Cloaking device disabled when running out of energy is now fixed.
  • A cooldown has been added for the deployment of sentry guns.
  • Sentry guns hitboxes now properly reflect the model (and can be destroyed).
  • Human hitboxes have been improved.
  • Forced transformations caused by objectives are not locked anymore from teamkilling.
  • The infinite escape bug that appeared when jumping near the shuttle is fixed.
  • Not possible anymore to shape-shift while picking a class/trait.
  • Misc. inventory issues have been fixed.
  • Objects dropped on the ground don't disappear anymore from the map when bumping onto them.
  • Aliens will not recover their items when shape-shifting back to human form.
  • No more suicide penalty when dying from radioactivity.
  • Client/Server research cost is now consistent regarding the "athletics" research.
  • Fixed the client pictogram that was not matching the chosen trait when moving the mouse too fast during the selection.


Don't forget to restart your steam client to force the client-side update if you happen to get booted from the servers.

SurvHive Patch 1.2 rolled out!

To all traitors and shape-shifters out there, this is the second patch for SurvHive. It is about balance, fixing bugs and glitches, and some new features as well ! We hope you will have fun :)


  • Alien chat. Use Y key by default when you are an alien to communicate with other aliens.
  • Alien language: With this perk the cultist now has a 33% chance to detect a spoken line in the Hive chat.
  • Aliens are now able to shoot, but will suffer penalties when killing humans with lethal weapons.
  • XP Health exploit is now fixed.
  • Transforming sound distance is now logarithmic.
  • Not possible anymore to use cloaking device with another weapon or item at the same time.
  • Don't auto pickup items anymore if another item is currently being used.
  • Fixed a lot of wall collision issues on both maps.
  • Cloaking device cooldown (20 seconds)
  • Protection circle cooldown (10 seconds)
  • Cultist 6th sense doesn't tell the name of the shape-shifted alien anymore.
  • Crawlers are now able to crawl directly (no need to unlock it anymore).

Patch 1.1 Available !

Dear Shape-Shifters,

The first small patch for SurvHive is available, fixing some bugs here and there.

PATCH NOTES:

  • Secret objective "still human but infected appearance" temporarily disabled because it was broken at the moment. Will be enabled again but vastly improved in Patch 1.2.
  • Damage over time no longer counted as teamkills.
  • Not possible anymore to bypass the reload animation when reloading and firing at the same time.
  • Continuous firing of weapons such as the flamethrower not possible anymore when firing very short bursts.
  • Teamkills penalties are now decreased after a while.


Your client should update automatically. If it's not the case, you might need to restart steam in order to force the update (otherwise servers will reject your connection).
