Last week was published an open source Unity library that was developed for, and used by Survival Ball. This library dynamically keeps multiple objects inside a camera view, meaning that much of the game's camera work is handled by this single library.
While writing the blog post this library, some performance improvements were made apparent when going over the math used by the camera calculations. These improvements were included in the library, and are now also integrated into the game code, which results into a more performant game.

Survival Ball Soundtrack - Available Now
The official original Survival Ball Soundtrack (OST) is now released, featuring 18 tracks in MP3 192kb/s from the game, the trailer theme and previously unreleased tracks specifically composed for the game. Many of them can be looped seamlessly.

Update 1.0.2 - Linux Wine Compatibility
Following an issue raised by Peanut Butler, this update ships a fix which improves compatibility when running via Wine/Proton for Linux.
Compatibility has been confirmed on Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, using Steam's Proton 3.16-4 Beta (which uses Wine) to run the Windows version of Survival Ball on this Linux distro.

Indie X. It was awesome.
Indie X @ Lisboa Games Week 2018 was awesome, huge word of thanks to the organizers! A custom build was made specially for this event, which featured a more arcade experience by having local leaderbords and access to all of the game levels. In the below video, you can see some of the major features of special build for this event:

Notice as well the added controls help UI when the game is paused. Purpose being to show the controls for players who may not have passed by the tutorial. Do you think this would be a nice add to the published Steam version?

Now available for macOS 🍏
Now that the Windows version is in a stable state, the macOS version is now made available as well, meaning that the beta version 0.1.3 is now equally available on both platforms. Happy cross platform gaming!

Beta Update 0.1.3 - Widescreen Aspect Ratios
This update is mostly focused on improving the support for various wide screen aspect ratios:
Layout adjustments in order for the game to correctly present wide screen aspect ratios other than 16:9
Restrict the possible video aspect ratios to wide screen only, since the game's visual balance is better suited for those.
Fixed ghost transition which happened when a game was deleted and a new game was made in its place, without game restart.
Apart from this, the MacOS version is currently being prepared and tested, so it should not take long for it to be available as well!

Beta Update 0.1.2 - New Achievements and Gameplay Improvements
In this update, there are some gameplay improvements (based on previous feedback) and more new achievements:
Add 16 new achievements
Tutorial shows the first player's real buttons on the billboards, instead of always showing the game's default gamepad buttons
Broad camera angle before starting the RocketX motors for the first time
Tweak RocketX platform visuals
Small visual tweaks in the home screen
