Auction House, Exchange, and Mail Temporarily Disabled
Hello Ancestors! We deployed a Hotfix last night to address a major duplication incident. In order to protect our in-game economy and restore Auction House and Exchange listings, we rolled back progress to yesterday at 12:00PM CT and froze the ability to send in-game mail, use the Auction House and The Exchange.
This is only a temporary solution. We will be revisiting the issue this morning. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to restore our economy and make sure that the Heartlands is a fair and balanced space for all players to enjoy. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Progress on Economy and Server Feedback
Edit: The post originally indicated that "The Returner is added to the list of important NPCs so new players know they can return items with Bloodstone." This is not in the latest design, the Returner still charges Electrum. The post has been updated accordingly.
Edit 2: The original post did not include that "The bug where Ancestral Legacies were incorrectly displayed as "claimed" by another character has been fixed." The post has been updated to reflect this.
Edit 3: Update: We found an unexpected bug in our hotfix build that will need to be remedied before we can send it out - the hotfix mentioned below will be delayed until tomorrow.
Hello Ancestors,
Earlier this week we told you that we were listening and are working towards addressing your concerns. We’ve made progress but there’s still plenty of work to be done and fixes to be made. Here’s where we are at and where we’re going:
Concerns
-Inventory space is low, causing feelings of frustration
-Electrum is the only way to have fun
-It's not clear that saving items after death costs Electrum, a free path needs to be emphasized
-The Electrum purchase UI needs work to not feel so “in-your-face” -Servers are unstable and progress is lost -Electrum and Bloodstones duplication exploits
What We’ve Done So Far
-Increase inventory for all players by 10 spaces
-Improved server stability
-Electrum and Bloodstone exploits have been patched and solved
-The bug where Ancestral Legacies were incorrectly displayed as "claimed" by another character has been fixed
Things in Tomorrow’s Hotfix
-Allow players to purchase up to 10 inventory slots with Bloodstone
-The Exchange has received a location change and visual update to draw more attention and make its purpose clearer to players
-The Returner is added to the list of important NPCs so new players know they can return items with Bloodstone
Things in Development
-A fix for the bug that shows an empty Exchange until clicking on another category
-Recovering items after death for Electrum is being removed
-Adding an item that can be earned in game to recover items from the Returner
-Expanding the Store to include Bloodstone purchases, creating a universal Store
-Combining Crafting and Equipment Vendors for added convenience
-Fixing bugs causing players to be unable to remove postings from The Exchange
-Fixing bugs preventing players from purchasing ingame Supporter Packs if their Steam overlay is disabled
Fixing bugs in Daily Rewards that prevent players from claiming their reward or made them skip rewards
A healthy player economy is one of our top priorities. Part of that means discussing how best to distribute Electrum to players. We will keep you updated as this and many other discussions develop. Thank you for continuing to offer feedback and support and we’re looking forward to some exciting changes in the future.

We're Listening. Our Next Steps!
Greetings, Ancestors!
First and foremost, thank you from all of us at Human Head and Digital Extremes. The interest in Survived By has been great (our servers would say it’s been a little TOO great...) and we’re committed to shaping this game with the community.
Top Issues
We are currently looking at the following key issues we keep seeing discussed on our Forums, Discord and Steam Forums:
Connection/Login Issues
Missing Steam Pack Items
Loss of progression
Ancestral Legacy bugs like cards still assigned to dead character and cannot be consumed
Progression stops such as can't proceed after death screen
These are top priorities for us, and our teams are working diligently to solve them. Although we do not have an exact time or date for these fixes, we wanted to be transparent with the community that we know they’re pain points, and we appreciate you sticking with us through Early Access.
Game Economy
We want Survived By to be a fair and fun experience, and while we believe it fits that criteria, there is always room for improvement! We’ve designed Survived By to be playable without any microtransaction purchases and we stand by that. With that said, we are currently looking at adjustments to things like bag size, currency exchange and more. We aren’t ready to share details just yet, but want to let you know that we stand by our commitment to shape this game with you, the players.
Loss of Progress & Missing Items
For some of the loss of progression/missing items issues please reach out to our Support team and they will take a look into your account and assist you. While we unfortunately cannot recover progress, items can be recovered.
Going Forward
As a thank you for your patience and diligent bug reporting, we want to award you with an attachment set from our upcoming holiday event. This Holiday Set will include the flashing light, sack of toys, and toy trail attachments which will be sent to your in-game mailbox. We hope it will help you get in the holiday spirit and will keep you looking festive in battle. Items will appear once we have resolved server issues and we will announce when you can claim them. All missing XP, Drop Rate, and Craft Time Reduction consumables will be refunded across player accounts as well once we fix the timer bug.
The characters in Survived By only get stronger with each iteration, and we want the same for our game. Remember, Early Access is just the beginning and we’re building Survived By with you! Look for a Producer’s Letter coming soon which will dive deeper into both the issues the team is hard at work tackling and some of the changes discussed above.
See you in the Heartland,
- The Survived By Team
EA Week 1 - Hotfix 4
Hello Ancestors - we will be taking down our servers in 20 minutes and deploying a hotfix to improve server stability, performance, and optimization. Please log out to save your progress!
We estimate that servers will be down for 30 minutes. This hotfix should also ensure that there is no more lost progress on player accounts.
We have been paying close attention to the feedback we've received on our microtransaction/economy systems and are taking it very seriously - we are currently reviewing several options that we hope will drastically improve this experience. Thank you for your patience.
Early Access Week 1 - Hotfix 3
Hello Ancestors,
We`re continually working on making improvements to the game and are actively listening to all your feedback. We released a hotfix that made the following changes:
Increasing player inventory by 10!
Server stability and performance improvements
Fixed a bug where the second reward from the daily rewards couldn't be claimed
Fixed a bug where Ancestral Legacies were not always being awarded from Achievement completion
Thank you for your continued support as we make changes and we hope to see you in the Heartlands.

Known Login/Connection Issues
Hello Ancestors,
We had an exciting announcement at The Game Awards tonight that brought in a flood of excited new players - we are aware of the related server and registration issues and we're working hard to resolve them. We will post an update as soon as we're able. Hope to see you all in the Heartlands very soon!
Thank you all for your patience. Our servers are taking damage - but just like the characters in our game, we'll come back even stronger.

Welcome to Early Access!
Welcome, Ancestors - we’re officially in Early Access! Thank you to all of our Alpha and Beta testers who joined us for our soft launch, reported bugs, and cheered us to the finish line.
For those who are coming back to celebrate Early Access with us, Redshell was removed in our Alpha. Thank you to all of the community members who alerted us to this issue - Redshell will not be re-added to the game at any point.
Stay tuned for a special developer stream this Friday at 3PM CT, where Creative Director Ryan Jackson and Community Manager Katherine Stull will showcase the new features associated with Early Access, preview upcoming events, and reveal our plans for the future.
Much like the Ancestors in game, our Beta trailer has come back even stronger in Early Access - be sure to check out our new animated reel and share it with your friends in Battle.
Thank you all for helping make Survived By great. We can’t wait to craft our legacy with you.

The prophecy foretold this day would come - Survived By is launching Early Access on Steam tomorrow! To ensure that things are working as expected before our major launch, we are doing an (Early) Early Access launch today around 1PM CT. This is a great opportunity for our dedicated playerbase to claim their House Name before we’re joined by new players tomorrow.
The servers will come down today from 10AM CT to 1PM CT so we can prepare this update.
Today’s developer stream has been moved to Friday at 3PM CT, where Creative Director Ryan Jackson and Community Manager Katherine Stull will showcase the new features associated with Early Access, preview upcoming events, and reveal our plans for the future.
This is all very exciting, but most importantly - what does Early Access mean for Survived By?

- All Alpha and Beta testers will receive the Survived By Starter Pack for free
- As an added bonus, all players who made an Electrum purchase during Alpha/Beta will receive the Next of Kin Supporter Pack for free
