How Titus Redefined The Royal Golden Guard
Montaklar, 16th of January 1953 - When Titus Gordion took the helm of the Golden Guard, many wondered how a former championship boxer would fare as the protector of the crown. Nearly a decade later, the answer is clear: Gordion has not only upheld the Guard's legacy but redefined its role for the modern age.
Known in his youth as "Ironjaw," Gordion’s boxing career instilled in him a deep understanding of focus, adaptability, and resilience. “The ring taught me to think strategically and push beyond limits,” he says. These lessons are at the core of the rigorous training regime he developed for the Golden Guard. Recruits face intense physical drills, combat exercises, and modern tactical training designed to prepare them for the complexities of contemporary threats.
When asked about the significance of his role, the devout Wruhecist paused thoughtfully before replying: “To serve the crown is to dedicate more than your skills, it’s to give your very being. My faith guides me, my loyalty binds me, and my body moves as an extension of the crown’s will.”
January 8th, 1952 - The House of Delegates was founded to represent the people and offer counsel to the throne, but recent sessions have cast doubt on their intentions. With disapprovals mounting against royal decrees, and figures like Manus Sazon and the Rizian People’s Party gaining influence, one must wonder many are left wondering if the Delegates truly serve the Kingdom’s best interests, or their own agendas.
Delegates may advise, but it is His Majesty’s duty to decide. With every disapproval they issue, one must wonder: are they here to assist the King in serving the people, or to obstruct His divine vision? Rizia flourishes under the Crown, what purpose do the Delegates serve?

We’re honored to have landed on the Apple Store’s front page. This major milestone boosts our visibility and expands our growing community.
But that’s not all: we’re proud to share that we’ve been featured in several media outlets, including Forbes magazine and Pocketgamer. This recognition reflects the dedication we’ve poured into creating a smooth, intuitive experience and motivates us to keep pushing forward. Thank you for your continued support. If you have a moment, please consider leaving a review on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, your feedback truly helps us grow and reach even more players.
2024 was a transformative year for Torpor Games. Suzerain reached new heights, with over 300,000 people playing across all platforms and lifetime mobile installs surpassing 700,000. Our Kingdom of Rizia DLC added new depth to the Suzerain Universe, while the mobile relaunch brought 45,000+ active users on iOS and Android within a month. On Steam, we recorded 3.2 million visits for Suzerain and its DLCs, solidifying its place as one of the most impactful narrative RPGs of the year. Our websites collectively attracted 176,000 visitors and amassed 861,000 page views, with the Suzerain Universe Codex becoming a central hub for lore enthusiasts and players alike. Our community also flourished, with Discord growing from 5,300 to 8,300 engaged members and Reddit (r/Suzerain) surging to over 22,200 members, generating more than a million interactions.
The team has been working hard on stabilizing and polishing the mobile experience while preparing the 3.1 content update for PC and mobile, which represents a major overhaul for the Kingdom of Rizia. This update includes some of the most dramatic moments we’ve ever created, with gameplay striving to be more dynamic and emergent. We also have small surprises planned for the Sordland Story Pack, alongside further bug fixes and improvements to address common issues. For the rollout of patch 3.1, we intend on involving the community more closely in the final development stages before launch—details to come in the months ahead. As we look to the future, we're looking for more ways to highlight the Kingdom of Rizia as we prepare for the next step: our second DLC, which we’ll reveal more about later this year.
Beginning in Q1 2025, we will transition to full self-publishing across all platforms as our partnership with Fellow Traveller comes to an end. This is a significant step that will allow us to take greater control of our future and align our work more closely with our vision. We are deeply grateful for our time with Fellow Traveller, they have been a wonderful partner, and we appreciate all the support and opportunities they provided to help bring our work to life. None of this growth and progress would have been possible without you, our players, supporters, and friends. Your passion and belief in our dreams have been the driving force behind everything we do. Thank you for making this year remarkable. 2025 promises even more exciting content additions, launches, and announcements.
We’d also like to give a huge shoutout to our mobile testers for their invaluable dedication. The well-deserved Rizia keys rewards will be ready soon!

F.A.Q
What if I already own Suzerain on mobile?
If you've already purchased Suzerain on mobile, it will automatically appear as the "Sordland Story Pack" that you own.
Save files will not transfer from the existing mobile game to the new update. If you are in the middle of playing the Sordland story, we'd recommend finishing your playthrough before the update launches, as you will lose that progress.
For existing mobile purchases, you will not receive new purchase bonuses such as additional story points, as these can only be provided to purchases after the update.
Why are you re-launching Suzerain on mobile?
Those of you who have played Suzerain on mobile will know that the content there is outdated. In order to bring the Kingdom of Rizia and updated mobile content, we needed to re-work the entire app so that both mobile and PC could have the same content from now on.
How much will the game cost on mobile?
There are different ways to play Suzerain on mobile, including playing the whole game for free. If you'd like to purchase the game, the cost of the story packs are as follows:
The Republic of Sordland Story Pack:
€19.99 on Apple (incl. taxes)
€18.99 on Google Play (ex. taxes)
The Kingdom of Rizia Story Page:
€14.99 on Apple (incl. taxes)
€13.99 on Google Play (ex. taxes)
Please note: Apple includes taxes in the price of the game, and Google Play adds taxes when you finalize your purchase. The different prices reflect this.
Additionally, there is a Subscription System, where you can purchase tickets to gain timed access to both the Republic of Sordland and Kingdom of Rizia story packs for a limited time. Tickets last one 1 Day, 3 Days, 7 Days and 30 Days. Ticket prices range from €1.99 to €12.99.
Is there regional pricing? What is the price for the game in my currency?
Yes, there is regional pricing for each currency. Please check the Suzerain app for the price in your currency. The base price for the game is set in Euros, as we are a German-based company.
Why is the Kingdom of Rizia more expensive on mobile than on PC?
The updated price of the Kingdom of Rizia reflects the new content coming to the story soon - stay tuned for more info in Q1 2025 - and the hard work the team have done to bring the content to mobile. Suzerain will have custom, dynamic pricing discounts on mobile, so there'll be plenty of opportunities to purchase Rizia for a discounted price.
Do I get anything cool on mobile if I already own the game on PC?
Yes! For a very limited time, you can get 50 Story Points and 5,000 XP for mobile just by owning the game on PC. You'll be able to find the code in-game, in the news section of Suzerain. The code will only work for the first 24 hours after the mobile launch, so don't miss out on the bonus!
What are Story Points?
Story Points are a currency in Suzerain on mobile, allowing you to play through the story uninterrupted by ads. The more you have, the more you can play without watching ads.
What does XP do?
XP points are tied to your "Political Influence Level." This is a system where you earn XP to grant higher Story Point rewards as you level up. You can earn XP by completing daily rewards and unlocking achievements.
How does the cloud save work?
On mobile, you'll now be able to create a Torpor Account that will allow for cloud saving your Suzerain progress on mobile, and your active save file will auto sync.
There is no cross-platform cloud saving. Your progress in Suzerain on mobile will remain on mobile, and there is no way to pick up where you left on PC.
Is there offline play?
Yes, you can play offline regardless of whether you've purchased a story pack or are playing with ads.
What if I have an older phone, can I still play the update?
Devices that have below 3gb ram and are older than 2019 will be mostly incompatible with technical requirements to play the update, therefore we recommend not to update the app to continue accessing Suzerain as it is now.
In case you missed it, here's the details on what to expect on mobile! The re-launch introduces a flexible freemium model, alongside premium and subscription options, offering different ways for players to experience Suzerain:

We’re thrilled to bring you some exciting updates from The Conformist! This time, we’re spotlighting an exclusive interview with our talented 3D artist, Stijn.
Originally conducted by Gamesmarkt, you can read the full interview here. We hope you enjoy this behind-the-scenes insight!
Who are you and what are you making?
We are Torpor Games, a game dev studio from Berlin. The Conformist is an upcoming semi-sandbox narrative role-playing game currently in development. Players guide a propagandist working for the government of Sordland, navigating the harsh political environment in the capital after a civil war and discovering their path.
Set in the Suzerain-universe - Torpor Games’ 2020 debut title, players step into the city of Holsord, discovering the country of Sordland and its people caught within the turbulence of a newly established military government under President Tarquin Soll. Players must manage their obligations to their superiors, and their ambitions, and protect their families whilst avoiding the scrutiny of the state – or aiding the resistance factions against them.
What can we see here?
In the first screenshot, we showcase our modular building set—a toolkit we've developed to efficiently construct parts of our game world. The second screenshot displays this set in action within the game's environment, demonstrating its potential even as a work in progress. The third image features an architectural guide we've created to maintain consistent dimensions across all our structures.
Why did you choose this process to show us?
In developing The Conformist, we're building an expansive world consisting of three distinct districts. To manage this scale efficiently, modularity is key. Instead of modelling each building individually, we're focusing on creating modular "sets" in various architectural styles. The screenshots we've shared showcase our first set. By precisely defining the dimensions for every piece, we can easily swap components to create a wide variety of buildings that remain consistent in style. This approach allows us to efficiently populate our game world while maintaining aesthetic cohesion.
Is there anything special you want people to learn from it?
Absolutely! We want to highlight the importance of modularity and thorough planning. Without our modular set, developing this game would be unfeasible. By defining dimensions in advance, we ensure that all future assets are compatible with our existing 3D models. This approach allows us to efficiently create a cohesive game world where new elements seamlessly integrate with what we've already built.
