Swords & Crossbones: An Epic Pirate Story

Last weeks release notes

Greetings,

we made some small changes last week, but forgot to add the change notes.

Here they are:

There was an error with one of the buildings, it never unlocked after the mission was successful. This issue is fixed - not only for new games - but also for all the old games. Load your game and you automatically will have the building unlocked.

A fix was made, that the win conditions in vs beats battles can be not only by killing them but also by capturing them.

Added shortkeys for skills in battles, you can now freely chose your keystroke from 1-9 to be bound to the chosen skill.

Small improvements

We added an extra window when leaving the game, it tells you that if you leave, the game will be saved automatically.

Battle animations can be speed up now. This should speed up not only automated fights but also manual battles.

You are free and welcome to give us more hints at what to improve and what you dislike.

This weeks fixes

Wednesday changes:

  1. Fixed a possible case of the game getting stuck by leaving some pirates on other islands.
  2. Lots of minor UI fixes to fit item names and other kinds of texts.
  3. Changed some sounds and the in-game background music a bit.
  4. Made the quest window be opened with 'Q', instead of 'S', as that was awkward.
  5. Made some of the battles early in the game give some amount of Rusty iron as a reward, so that crafting some basic items can be possible earlier.

Thursday changes:

  1. Updated the in-game menu design.
  2. Made the battle map center in the view on entering the battle scene, and then move to the player positions.
  3. Minor UI fixes.

The 2nd patch is out

And below the details and the fixes of the patch

  • Fixed crashes that could appear when stealing from/killing enemies.
  • Fixed the shipyard UI so that it will allow building ships.

Full Screen Mode added

From now on Swords & Crossbones will start in Full Screen Mode by default.

We have also increased the size of the User Interface Elements (Boxes, Dialogues, Menues, Buttons). For the Full Screen Mode we ioncreased it by the factor 1.6 and for the Windowed Mode by the factor 1.3

We hope this new update will bring you a much better expirience with the game.

We have also eased the first battle within the Into.
