Patch Notes for Hotfix 1.0.1

First off, we want to thank you all for joining us on this journey. We hope you enjoy the game and we hope you enjoy what we have planned for it! Now, without further ado, here’s the patch notes:

Patches:



  • Fixed the camera tilting issue upon deaths
  • Fixed a bug where servers wouldn’t terminate when nobody was occupying them
  • Player cap will no longer be reset when joining new sessions


Changes



  • Changed player cap to 12 players per server
  • Made the mirror toggle button a physical button
  • Versus is now only playable on the Arena map
  • You no longer need to press refresh to see available servers when opening the menu

Wednesday Update Log

Hi Gladiators, it’s time for another Wednesday update log! The last few weeks have been primarily focused on fixing IK, replication, and various other bugs in preparation for our launch. Fortunately we have made major progress during this time and we can't wait for everyone to get in and play!


Since Last week we:


  • Implemented in game voice chat
  • Implemented prettier VFX for Aqueduct and Locker room
  • Further refined replication for a smoother swordplay experience
  • Implemented fancy Victory and Defeat screen
  • Made blocking/hardening quicker
  • Can lock both hands when using two handed weapons
  • Hands now properly rotate when switching angles on two handed weapons
  • Aqueduct now works for all game modes except CTF
  • Forcepull is now tighter and should feel more natural.
  • Added drone AI
  • Slight Weapon Balancing






Our primary focuses for the upcoming update are:



  • Continue to refine replication
  • Refine Replication for thrown items
  • Correct skeleton positions
  • Fix IK issues
  • Implementing positional voice chat
  • Refine Marketplace

Friday Update #3

Hi, Gurrites! It's time for another Friday update log! The past couple of weeks we've been focusing our efforts on implementing an in-game voice chat system and creating some game modes ready for our release! We also settled on a much more reliable server host and are working on implementing the ability for anyone to start a server at any time and have the server be hosted on Devster networking!

Since last week, we:

  • Implemented in game voice chat
  • Further improved networking lag, specifically on thrown weapons
  • Implemented Discord Rich Presence
  • Made good progress on the CTF gamemode by adding grabable flags and capture zones

Friday Update #2

Friday Update Log #2

Hey Gurrites! Apologies for the inconsistent updates. Since our last update log, we've been been focusing on dedicated servers for the game and P2P connections. We've managed to reduce latency and will continue to do so as a high priority moving forward.
Besides that, we've been constantly pushing updates to the game and cleaning everything up ready to make some main game modes. We've implemented a working server browser, we've updated some sounds and we've been doing a whole lotta polishing!

We've also done some work on weapon balancing and would love for you to express your opinions on this as well as any other opinions on the game whether you've played the game or not.

Finally, we're working on creating a public, coherent roadmap detailing our current and future plans for the game's development community. We hope this will allow you to express your opinion on an upcoming feature or idea before it's implemented.

Friday Update #1

- Fixed stuttering issue in locker room caused by edited reflections
- Mirror is now disabled by default
- Adjusted the way damage is calculated from distance traveled / speed
- Added more haptic effects and updated existing files
- Started work on Dragon animation

August 3rd Test

Hey everyone! This is just a reminder that we'll be holding our main monthly test soon! We'll be fighting in the recently improved arena and testing gameplay and game structure! As usual, we will have the servers up and running and members of staff will be on hand to resolve any issues.

Today is the day!

Hello, everyone! This is just a reminder that today is the test day for this month! The servers should be ready for some intense battles. This month, we'll be holding two sessions this month so that people have a higher chance of making at least one of them. We hope to see you all there!

Beta Test Recap

The test held today was a massive success! Thanks to everyone who was able to attend and make the session as fun as it was! We played some normal sword fights, hide and seek and sardines in the jungle and "Airlock Wars" towards the end! ːsteamhappyː Props to the new hide and seek champion: SoulFoxGaming for beating all of us multiple times in hide and seek!
We look forward to holding more test sessions with all of you!

Testing Day!

Today is the day! We will be holding a formal testing session for the game at midday in America and 6pm in the UK and most of Europe. We hope you can attend! You can read more about the session here.
