SYREN v2.3 UPDATE

Hey all, we have an update release for SYREN, which fixes a handful of issues that have been reported. Thanks for your feedback and patience, we hope you can now all enjoy SYREN to its fullest.

In particular we have fixed the crash within one of the elevators in Episode 2, along with a number of smaller bug fixes and an Unreal Engine update, which should mean this new release will give you a smoother and more stable experience.

We hope you enjoy it, and look forward to hearing your feedback.

Thank you, Hammerhead.

SYREN v2.2 Rotation and Computers Quick Fix

Following on from the release of SYREN Episode 2 yesterday we're just pushing out a small bug fix to catch a few minor things that have been reported. Specifically holsters weren't rotating with the player on VIVE and computer screens weren't scrolling.

FIXED: Holsters rotate with player on VIVE
FIXED: Computer screen buttons now scroll again

SYREN EPISODE 2 RELEASED

Today we release "SYREN Episode 2: Operation Anomaly" this is a huge FREE update to Syren adding a whole new experience once you've finished the existing game.

With the original SYREN we wanted to bring you a terrifying stealth adventure in VR, but with Operation Anomaly it's time for you to fight back with an arsenal of weaponry allowing you to tear through Darwin station one syren at a time.

Along with this additional content we've been doing our best to optimise the main game and improve performance especially on lower end machines. So we're hoping this new release will be the best SYREN experience yet for everyone.

This release constitutes version 2.1, and as always we'll be keeping a close eye on the community for any issues or improvements we can make.

Everyone at Hammerhead thanks you for your support.

SYREN v1.9 Control Options, Checkpoint & More

The biggest request from the community has been more controls options. This patch should hopefully help address this.
The main menu and options screen now gives you more customisation options to change how aspects of the game controls, especially in free-locomotion.
We're hoping that these additional options will help each of you customise the Syren controls to closer match your preferred way of interacting in VR.
We've also added mid-level checkpoints in the first two levels to reduce frustration some players have felt having to repeat sections of the game.
Full change list included below:

SYREN 1.7 Oculus SDK + Bugfixes

We've got a new patch for the game to quickly address some of the more glaring issues people have reported along with adding an Oculus SDK version so the game should now run properly if you're using Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers. A more detailed change log is included below.

We're not done yet as we're closely watching all the feedback to the game and will be releasing additional patches in the coming week. Our top priority is obviously any and all bugs you guys are experiencing, however we've also seen a huge demand for more options in terms of how the free-locomotion controls work. So we're going to be looking to give you more settings to customize the experience to your preferences as soon as possible.

SYREN 1.6 Resolution Patch

We've deployed our first update patch due to community feedback about the visual sharpness. We've upped the resolution settings for normal and high, as well as adding a new ultra setting.

Our original setting were to try and give people the best possible frame-rates even on lower end cards so we were clearly being a bit too conservative with the rendering resolution to ensure that.

Rendering resolutions are now: low - 75%, normal - 100%, high - 140%, ultra - 200%. In future patches we'll probably expose this setting more directly to users but for now we wanted to give you better resolutions immediately.

SYREN v1.5 Released

Thanks for your patience SYREN has now been released on SteamVR for all HTC Vive users to enjoy.

For those of your with an Oculus Rift and Touch controllers we'll be uploading an Oculus SDK version very soon.

Release coming ASAP

Despite the timer above we're not actually 100% sure when we're releasing. Were waiting for final approval from Valve but once that comes through we'll be setting the game live. Hopefully it should be within the next 24 hours. Sorry for the delay and we thank you for your patience.
