Table Football Pro

I wonder how this will turn out ...

What do you think?

Build 43 is live

Hello all,
I did a quick new release.
I changed the multipler screen to be more user-friendly - now you will see a list of players that created a server and you can join them individually.
This way you will easilly know if somebody started the server or not.

Thanks,
Diskobolos

Build 42 is live

Hello all,
I wanted to apologize for the delays, I decided to completely rewrite UI in a better framework and took me a long time to do it.

Changes:
- rewritten UI, improved team selection
- UI sounds, basic animations
- disabled xInput, now all gamepads should be named correctly (I may add option to enable it later - with xInput I can possibly add vibrations and stuff)
- added support for localization, currently only English and Czech localization is added - now comes your turn to help localize the game :-) There will be a discussions thread with details
- fixed ui issues on ultra wide resolution

What is still missing in this build (and was promised):
- 32-bit windows support
- in-game setting of resolution and options

Possible issues:
- UI can be somewhere broken, if I missed something, as I said, complete rewrite
- I have noticed some issues with shooting the ball on gamepad - sometimes the ball is not shot with full energy as it is supposed to, I will look into it
- I did not test the game as I wished I did, but I wanted to get the new UI as soon as possible and start with the localization

Thank you all and I will let you know when build 43 is ready! :)

This took me by suprise ...

Now THAT is interesting ... Recently there was a competition in a 3d painting software about who can "paint" the given Mat statue the best. I joined in with my Football Mat. They received 1200 submissions and - I somehow got ranked on 20th place! :-)
Now I don't know how that happened, but it really feels great! :-)

Weekly progress report - build 42

Hello everyone,
I wanted to thank you for your support, feedback and reviews! :-)

What is going on

I also want to share what is going on currently:
- localization support - done in code, see below for details
- UI rewrite - this is what is keeping me busy, this will enable me to add UI features faster, so stay tuned ...
- getting rid of Unity Launcher and moving the settings into Options panel
- adding support for 32-bit windows build
- possibility to disable xInput (to overcome 4-controller limit on xInput compatible controllers)

This is more technical stuff than actual game play changes, but those are necessary. The build 42 should be ready later this week.

Localization

I would like to ask you for help with the localization of in game texts and achievements.
Most probably I will share a google app excel with some of my attempts to localize the game and I would be grateful for any corrections. I do not have experience with this, so I also ask for patience.

What's next

In build 43 I will focus on the game-related requested features, namely:
- change game time limit (and add countdown to zero instead)
- add the goal limit rule as a alternate game win condition
- add penalization of intended idling with ball
- support for split controls on gamepad
- tweaking the keyboard controls
- considering the manual pawn switching support

Futher builds will surely focus on improving the online gui and team customization so that you can create your own teams finally.
As a bonus, see if you can recognize this one... :-)

I also want to explore more game modes, aside from the regular football.

Thanks and keep supporting me, write suggestions, write reviews, recommend the game to friends.

The real deal ....

Some of you don't know the original game, so I took some pictures of mine.
Mine seems to be first version of the game, and currently third generation of children plays with it.
I have friends that have a bit different version, possibly later one.

I also discovered a photo on the net with original box..

Released!

Hello,
Table Football Pro has just been released to Early Access. Thank you all for your support and letting me fulfill my dream!

What is currently in the game:

Local Quick Match - game against AI or other local players.
The game time is fixed to 3 mintues. The AI difficulty is fixed, beat it or leave it ... :-)
Online Match - you can choose to host your own online session or join to some existing. There is currently no direct means to connect with a friend. However, I do not expect thousands of players waiting for a game, so chances are you will connect with a friend if you let yourselft know in advance.
Currently only two PCs can participate in an online match. However, you can choose to play with multiple controllers in your team.

Controls:

Players can control the pawns by gamepad (any number), mouse (1), keyboard (1).
Curently, up to nine gamepads are supported (I can add more, I am out of player colors).

Controller Support:

Please note that your controllers may not be supported out of the box. I have tested the game on: Xbox One, Thurstmaster GPX, Logitech F310, Steam Controller.
If you have any issues, let me know. Note that I am using a third party plugin for controllers and you can see list of all supported controllers here. If your controller is on the list and still not supported in game, I can add it easilly.

Hardware requirements:

You will not probably be able to run the game on Very High Details. I use a lot of post processing effects, that have drastic impact on performance on higher resolutions. Choosing High details should be fine for most modern computers. On the other side, Low details are ugly, but should run on anything.

Team customization:

It is currently not accessible to players, I have to finish UI for it. You now have only a list of fixed teams to choose from. In further update you will be able to create your own team.

What now:

I will continue uploading new builds of the game, adding features and fixing bugs :-)
How the game will look like in the end is also up to you - leave me feedback!
Thanks!!

Table Football Pro is being released to Early Access!

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to thank you for all your support on Greenlight - it had paid off and now we are finally here! :-)

For last two months I have been working hard on two things:
1) making the game code robust and testable (= less bugs, better support)
2) worked on online networking code

Now, the game should be playable and enjoyable both online and offline with friends.

There are still many things missing in the game, and here comes your part - buy the game, write suggestions and help me making it better.

There will be another annoucement with the plans for the future.

Thank you all,
Josef aka "Diskobolos"
