Maintenance / April 24, 2014
First, we'd like to apologize for the long maintenance period. Some unexpected issues arose during the patching process.
This and the next coming update are primarily focused on balance and stability.
There has been another major significant change with Weaponry. Specifically, you will notice that recoil once again must be controlled which brings back an element of skill to the battlefield. We will be monitoring the situation, and adjusting things accordingly.
Those of you who purchased pet perks over the holidays have been awarded the lost time as well as a bonus of 20,000GP.
We've increased New player Game Points to 50,000.
All existing users have received a gift of 50,000GP as well.
The OSX version is still considered highly beta, and prone to issues. We've made some improvements, but It's not perfect yet, see the notes at the bottom of this post for details.
Thanks again, and see you in the field!
New Equipment
Remote C4
Similar to Breaching Charge (Uses Equipment Slot), select with grenade key (G by default), stick it to something and the detonator will pop out.
If you switch back to normal weapon, you can switch back to the detonator by pressing 5 (default)

Changes/Fixes
a lot of changes to all weapons (which do require additional skill to master) these are not 100% final and may change in the future, but this is going closer to what TI was like a long time ago. [Less point and click, instant headshot]
made a number of improvements to the OSX version, however bootcamp + windows is still recommended unless you have a current generation mac, these changes might also improve windows performance slightly on some setups as well
gave sniper rifles a slight sway and kick reduction while crouched and in cars
some other performance and balance adjustments
Maintenance / April 24/2014
We will be entering maintenance at 07:00AM UTC (12AM West, 3AM EST) for approximately one hour to employee a new Update.
EDIT:::
Appologies for the delay, the update is taking a lot longer than expected.
Update: OSX + General
OSX Players:
A patch has just been released to address the issue of the game not rendering anything other than the HUD/UI.
However, there is a second part that (at the moment) needs to be addressed manually.
Navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/TacticalIntervention
and delete the file glshaders.cfg
It will be regenerated next time you play.
In the future, if the shaders are changed, this will be handled automatically for you.
Additionally, there will be a Quick Server-Restart, at some point in the next hour or two to address a crash issue that occasionally happens at the beginning of the very first round on hostage rescue maps, I apologize in advance for the inconvenience it will cause.
Thanks,
-omega
WE'RE BACK! - 04/14/14
Welcome to the "1st Anniversary" Update for Tactical Intervention. It's been a bumpy ride over the past few weeks with some unexpected turns, a few tires blew out and countless mugs of coffee consumed during late night playtests but we've finally reached our destination and now present the next chapter of Tactical Intervention to you!
Before we get to all the new updates we wish to thank the community who have followed and supported the game over the last year, especially those who transitioned from OGP to our new home here on Steam. A big thank you as well to all of those who provided feedback and input that contributed towards this update's content as well as the army of play testers we got to work with. The testing and community feedback was a great asset, without which you probably wouldn't have seen this post made for another few weeks.
The good news is that with the great support and unfortunate delays it allowed for even more improvements to be made while crucial issues were being sorted out. We're now at a point we believe everything is solid enough for release, so without further ado, let's get to it!
