Prepare to be swept away by the instantly recognisable vocals of the legendary Doug Cockle, as he takes on the ferocious Frog armies in a Tails of Iron ‘Let’s Play’! Doug (aka The Butcher of Ratvia!) lent his award-winning, deep and raspy voice as the Tails of Iron's narrator, providing commentary on how Redgi feels about the situations he finds himself in, while also helping guide you through the Rat Kingdom - a very welcome tourist guide if you ask us!
Accompanied by Odd Bug Co-Founder, Jack Bennet, the two chew the (frog) fat in the 10 minute video, sharing many a colourful anecdote; What fighting class does Doug play as? Doug Cockle is best known for his iconic role in The Witcher series, where he voices none other than Geralt of Rivia. He’s also featured in Horizon Zero Dawn, Victor Vran, The Division, Desperados III and many more. His talents are world-renowned and we’re grateful to have him play such a large role in Tails of Iron.

Hot fix 1.0
. Broken inventory chest in the Forbidden Crypts (just before Sha-Moon battle) which halted game progression and caused the player to load out of bounds. Old save files will work again after downloading patch.

OUT NOW - The Great ‘Key Remapping’ Update
You spoke, we listened. And today, a new decree (aka update) will roll out across the Kingdom. The version number is, let's say “overcomplicated”, so we’ll just call this the great ‘Key Remapping’ update of 2021 because let’s face it, that’s why we’re all here.
In a nutshell (mmm, nut shells!), this patch will deliver the following:
- Key Remapping for keyboard and mouse
- A toggle for NPC SFX
- Expanded controller support for PS5
Key Remapping
When creating a game, you try your hardest to get everything perfect, and really drill into every detail, whether that’s the art, the animations, audio, music, SFX (squeak!) or one of the many other numerous components. But paws held high, it turns out we overlooked one important feature many of you hold dear. So, since release, and having read all of your comments (many of which blew us away with their kind words!), we’ve worked diligently to implement key remapping on keyboard and mouse to Tails of Iron. So no more excuses when Dennis the Bold repeatedly kicks your *flute whistles*!
Toggle for NPC SFX
We heard you, again, and in response, have added a toggle in the settings to turn off all NPC sound effects. Flip the switch and you’ll no longer hear all the beautiful sounds of your rat brethren. Not even their heartfelt sobs, in the knowledge they’ve been forever silenced.
Expanded controller support
You should experience far fewer issues when connecting a PS5 controller now.
Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox controllers were already supported from day one.
That wraps this patch up for the day. We hope this makes your journey through Rat Kingdom that little bit smoother. Let’s celebrate with a nice, cool bug juice!
