Hello All!
There is a new update live now which contains some significant changes in certain areas. If you encounter any issues at all, please do report them.
- Updated to the new Steamworks API dll file
- Switched form using Steamworks.NET to Facepunch.Steamworks
- Using the new API for Steam overlay
- Using the new API for Steam achievements
- Added Cloud Save support
- Added Cloud Load support
- Updated the 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese) localisation

Tales of a Spymaster - Update 0.39c Release Notes
Hey All!
There will be another update released within the coming hours for those who are currently testing Tales of a Spymaster.
What is there to expect in this update?
Features:
- Added Localisation for 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese)
- Added checks to stop mercenary hiring abuse
- Added extra Load Game logic
- Added string support to better handle 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese), 简体中文 (Simplified Chinese) and 日本語 (Japanese).
Fixes:
- Start game now shows correct starting locations
- Start game now shows correct starting coat of arms on UI
- Start game now plays correct theme music
- Fixed Tutorial build menu text which was overwritten
Also as requested, a video of the tutorial has been uploaded for the game. You can see the game in action there. I have purposefully tried to be slow to give the user time to read the text on the screen.

Update 38e - Release Notes
Hey All!
An update will be released within the next hour for anyone currently testing Tales of a Spymaster.
What's new in this release?
- Added translations for Türkçe (Turkish).
- Added translations for French.
- Added translations for Português (Brasil).
- Added translations for Español (Latinoamérica).
- Made changes to language selection in options.
- Made various areas more friendly to localised text.
- Implemented a basic layout for main menu load game screen. Not functional yet though.
- New system for showing confirmation messages. Visually looks the same.
Bug Fixes:
- Turn notifications being clipped at the end in the tutorial.
- Minimap icon too small in tutorial.
- Buttons on various screens out of alignment.
- Text field alignments on various screens were not right.
- Mercenaries for defending were not working.
- UI cost for items not always correct.
- AI was not relocating settlers
- AI was not hiring mercenaries
- First few turns, certain errors were causing the AI to not do anything.
As you can see, some of them are big changes/fixes!
Tales of a Spymaster is due for release on May 17th, leaving 2 more months to continue fixing/improving the game. I hope you like how the game is coming together.
Early Access Development has finished! :)
Hey All!
We have just finished developing the last of the new features for the Early Access release, so we are well on track for the May 17th release date.
In the coming weeks, there will be an updated trailer released and there will be a lot of testing/bug fixes done prior to release.
