Tales of the Black Death - sounds design and new feature.

I am glad to announce a new update for Tales of the Black Death!
They are two major things in this update – The Sound Design and a New Feature.
First the feature.
As some of you might know, in medieval times, many believed, praying to a religious symbol could bring absolution from sin. With that in mind, a new feature has been added to the game. Now, Baldasar now can carry a religious symbol with him, like a bible. This will give him the ability at anytime to reflect on his sinful ways.
*Don’t worry, the Tutorial Crow will make a duty to tell you all about it in Chapter 1.
Sound Design Secondly, a complete sound design has been implemented in this new version. ( The previous version only had music and UI sounds. ) Over 200 new sounds have been added, from pigs, to rivers, to wind...to frogs to bonfire to rain. Additionally, no less than eight voice actors have contributed vocal emotes for the game by recording an impressive amount of sound clips! It really brings the characters to life and greatly enhances the experience.
To support all this, a new audio channel has been implemented called ambiance. Make sure to visit the settings menu and calibrate the Music, Sound FX and Ambiance to your liking.
Last, we now have a discord server, please join the server if you’d like to contribute to the game with ideas or feedback!

A last update for Octobre.
Hi everyone,
First thanks to everyone that sent me feedback, everyone who streamed the game or took the time to make a play through video for YouTube. I truly appreciate it!
This week, the update is focused on small, but important things.
The main menu interface has been slightly updated to give better feedback to the player. Some tweaks concerning how languages are handled. Some game choices were added in all three chapters to give the player a few more options. Some moral / Health results from player choices were adjusted.
So, as you can see, not a large update, but definitely one that will help bring additional depth/playability to the game.

Base game update + a few other things.
It’s truly wonderful to see players out there enjoying the game and receiving feedback. The last few days I took the time to replay the game myself, noting where a few things could be enhanced.
Today’s update focuses mostly on Chapter 3 – England.
A few more choices were added to add more dimensions to some of the characters.
A few more consequences for your actions were added/adjusted ( Getting sick, losing morality.)
Adjusted the rat battle mechanics (one of the rats was giving troubles to a lot of players).
The look of the rat battle screen has also been updated.
Fixed a typo in the main menu.
Fixed missing tutorial text.
Fixed confusing text in Italy bucket scene.
+ A few more little things.
Watching a few streamers really helped find places that needed some adjustments – so thank you all for streaming this game!...And thank you those who have purchased the game or who are planning to purchase this indie title!

We are delighted to announce Tales of the Black Death is now released!
From the first prototype we created in summer of 2019 until today, it has been quite an interesting journey putting this game together and we hope you will enjoy story and choices.
We will be adding information about the game to our community hub soon.
