We have some very exciting news to share with you: a new mystery adventure game starring Detective Grimoire and Sally is coming in 2024! There's a demo out now, and you can wishlist here:
In "The Mermaid's Tongue", the detective duo have been called to investigate the murder of Magnus Mortuga, captain of the world's strangest submarine. Found alone in a locked room, with only an ancient stone cauldron to suggest how he might have died, it's up to Detective Grimoire and Sally to piece together what really happened. Was it a curse, released from the cauldron? One of the submarine's eccentric crew? Or does the bizarre truth run even deeper...
The Tangle Tower dev team is back, and we have a few additions too! As well as all of SFB Games (that's, uh, me and my brother Adam), we have Catherine Unger's amazing environment art, Jonathan Harris' fluid character animations, and Raphael B. Meyer's stunning orchestral score. And of course, Edwyn Tiong and Amber Lee Connors are back as Grimoire and Sally. The suspects are a secret for now, we'll have more to share soon.
Joining us this time, we also have Kindra Dantone, who has done incredible work to realise the clues in full 3D this time! And Kitt Byrne, who's been bringing her wonderful illustration style to the puzzles - Kitt worked with us on Snipperclips too, so it's great to have her back!
We were so very excited to be able to first announce this new game as part of Double Fine's and iam8bit's Day of the Devs festival (The Game Awards edition!) - Adam and I got to travel from chilly London to LA to show the game (and our other upcoming game, Crow Country) in person to press and the public. The response there, and in general, has been overwhelming, what a perfect end to the year! Here's the preview video that was shown in the Day of the Devs digital showcase stream:

Relax to the sounds of Tangle Tower's new music player!
At SFB Games, we're very proud of Tangle Tower's outstanding original score by Raphael Benjamin Meyer, and we know from the number of people who listen to it monthly that our players agree that it’s brilliant. With tracks ranging from the epic to the eerie, it brings to life the peculiar world of Tangle Tower. So, we have created a standalone player option in the game, so you can enjoy the soundtrack at your leisure. Curl up with a good book and wallow in the melancholic melody of ‘The Music Room’. Set yourself up to study to the symphonic sounds of ‘Penelope Pointer’ or chop carrots to the cheery strains of ‘Fifi Fellow’.
The new music player is available for free, from today, for all game owners and can be accessed from the title screen menu. Each track is linked to an area of the game, and you'll unlock them as you visit each area. Already have save data? Then the tracks will be unlocked already!

We’ve also released Tangle Tower on mobile platforms so you can play your favourite colourful detective game on-the-go. The mobile versions come complete with the same music player as this update, as well as all the mystery solving goodness you could expect from a Detective Grimoire game.
Since Unity has removed the startup window from all Unity games now, where you could select resolution ad fullscreen/windowed, I've now added a resolution setting to the menu!
I've also added a button to the title screen to be able to close the game. Fancy!
And I've made the analogue stick controls better, if that's how you're playing. Much nice to move the cursor about now.
This is all getting ready for the Steam Deck, and for Big Picture Mode in general.
