Dear Mechanics,
welcome to our eighty second development status update.
The work on suggestions and new features must continue, therefore we would like to keep you updated with what is currently being implemented.
From now on the new update/patch can take us a bit more than 1 week.
Features in update 1.1.0
(that we are implementing or are implemented already):
Museum lvl. 3 (4 more slots, total 12)
Steam Workshop support part 1 (This is a bigger task, and will take us more than one or two patches to complete)
Controller support with control presets
Simple tank controls toggle (that allows to drive the tank forward/backward with one key press, instead of the step-wise system)
Further standarization of tanks (adding screws, checking the config is correct
More detailed engines (right now working on new engine for new tank, check screenshot below)

Tank Mechanic Simulator - Steam Workshop uploader .exe layout (can and will probably change)
The final patch notes will be available when the patch gets uploaded (estimated one or two weeks). The patch will be published first on the Unstable branch, to check if certain crashes are gone (including the sanding/painting crash) and the missing images bug.

For few weeks the patch contents will be a bit smaller, we are in the process of designing new mechanics and expanding the team (mostly to hire new artists and get new tasks out faster :))

Stug test drive model has improved suspension and physics

An option, where a part was blocked from being disassembled, and the part that was blocking would be moved to a turret or engine stand, will not block anymore
Russian translation has been again re-checked for machine translations and fixed

Hotfix for 1.0.17 (Unstable)
Dear Mechanics,
There have been reports about tank getting missing after latest patch. We have already found and fixed the issue, the hot fix is now set to live. (We won't change the game version number this time).
If this fix does not bring back your tanks we are very sorry for your lost time and nerves, as we don't have any solution to recompensate it.
Next week we'll start adding official steam cloud support, as well as save/load system with autosaves and quicksaves/custom saves. We feel very bad when players report loosing all their progress and not being able to help them, most of the time because of a lack of save system. Next week this will change.
How this will work:
Each profile will have a folder with save files.
3 autosave slots that will be saved each X minutes (this will be configurable in settings) - so autosave 1 - X minutes - autosave 2 and so on
1 autosave slot that will save each hour
1 quicksave slot
2 or more custom save slots
Saving and loading will only be available from Workshop scene, in Workshop room. Each time the player will leave a scene (for example the extraction to workshop or to main menu) the game will save the progress to the next autosave.
This way, after adding such system, players can make a copy of their save files and if something goes wrong, have a working copy.

Loading icon appears when the player selects a tank in shop, storage or crafting menu, untill the tank parts are loaded.
When assembling a tank part with assembly menu disabled (available in settings), the game will select the part from the storage with the best condition.
The key settings now are configured to ignore some other key settings, for example, movement keys will ignore keys assigned to vehicle movement or tank movement, and vice-versa.
An icon in storage menu that indicates if a part is repairable or not (because of the part is made from rubber, wood etc.)
Fixed:
Drone has been fixed to not use very heavy visuals, the game should use less memory
There won't be an option to outsource repairs parts that are unrepairable (for instance rubber tank parts, electronics, wood etc.)
Player with unlocked tool belt can now correctly quit proving grounds
