And this time it coincides with the release of patch 1.03! This release feature a lot of new elements, quality of life fixes and more! As a added bonus we added TWO new guns to the game! They are well hidden, but u know what they say... it's darkest under a street lamp! Also to kick things off - we planned a whopping 66 percent discount! Talk about patch celebration! Update 1.0.1

Attention Citizens!

We are proud to announce the 1.0.1 update!

Changelog:

- we added a functional map(M on the keyboard or right analog button)
- added a new enemy(small Cockroach)
- changes to popup system(highly requested)
- changes to enemy progression
- fixes to player(speedup and others, more coming in the next update!)
- rebalancing of some weapons
- many small bugfixes

Starting now, anyone can opt for a beta test, to check out new features ahead of the current version!(1.0.1) Just go to Preferences, Betas, Opt.. this version is going to be ahead from the main release but untested.

The next update(1.0.2) is going to contain optimizations and changes to the Player, we are also working on joypad remapping. We will post an update as soon as it is available.

Tartapolis Launched!

Attention City Dwellers!

This is a H.I.V.E. public announcement!

Tartapolis officialy opens the City gates! So welcome Citizens! It has been an incredibly perilous journey to get to this point! However we prevailed! We hope everyone will enjoy the game that we put so much love and hard work into. The current release is 1.0.0 and we plan to go from there. The final version including all planned updates would be around 1.2.0. After that point we will announce and release Tartapolis Director's cut free DLC which will bring a new area into the City, as well as additional aspect of the story.

Allright Citizens! Time for some technical stuff...

Tartapolis is a game that heavily relies on your hard drive performance. It's very light on GPU in terms of calculations but heavy in terms of memory usage. It's important to note is that the game has two quality settings in the options menu. Mid is intended for use with HDD and High is for SSD's. That being said, with a decent hard drive it should run on integrated GPU.

In the coming weeks we are going to provide a few updates further improving the game, fixing some glitches and bugs(non critical), improving optimization and more! Stay tuned for updates as we are going to announce them beforehand.

Countdown Begins!

We are ready for launch!



Incredible amount of work has gone into making sure that the game is ready for launch(12.02)! Currently testing is extensive and we check everything twice. Following the release will be patches and extensions. Our goal is to perfect the game in the upcoming months! We are of course planning to expand on the project with soon to be announced Tartapolis - Director's Cut(free DLC). Hope everyone enjoys the game and stay tuned for updates as we are preparing for launch!

After a few weeks of hard work in Wordpress the game's web page is complete. Our hope is that it will serve as a hub for spreading information about the game. Tartapolis Update!



Greetings from Poland.



We decided to push back the game release due to a large title launching very near our current date. this way we hope to get a little more time to polish the game and give players a chance to spot our title on the store "shelves" The new release date is:

25.12.2020 r.



With Tartapolis we wanted to bring back the oldschool felling of classical J-RPG, coupled with perspective from Castlevania and action from Resident Evil. The game tells a story, and it's the main driving force. Environment is dynamic, and conditions change when going through the storyline. As the game progresses, new challenges present itself. Richard, the game's protagonist has to develop skills and equipment to deal with the City and progress the story. On his path are diverse enemies and many bosses. Strange characters, S.W.A.R.M(city police) units, bots and creatures inhabit this place, but deeper great darkness awaits!

To achieve the dark mood and techno feel of the game we used Photoshop as the main editing tool for maximum control of 2d graphics displayed in the game. A lot of visual data was fed through PS in the form of 3d renderings using proprietary "cell" shader to achieve the game look and mood. This also allowed us to optimize high resolution images and achieve native 4k resolution(game's HIGH setting). This mode requires quite a bit of data to be moved around and we would recommend to install the game on SSD drive for optimal loading times.

Finally, a little bit about the studio. We're from Poland, currently working remotely a small team of just 2 people. The game development took about two and a half years and it's almost complete now. During that time we gave ourselves total creative freedom to give our game a lot of heart. It is all about the details, small stories NPC tell or notes you find on the way that bring this world to light and unravel the true meaning of the City. We hope everyone enjoys Tartapolis.

As of today we can share news that Tartapolis is in final stages of development! Yaay! Allmost all content has been created for the game and implemented. What we are currently working on is putting everything together, to make it for the 04.12 release date. We are all highly motivated as we are approaching that milestone fast. Steam Game Festival - Schedule Change!



In recent announcement, Steam changed the festival starting date from 9th to 16th and we adjusted our office hours accordingly. So from 06.16.2020 to 06.22.2020 Tartapolis demo is going to be available to wider audience! We encourage everyone to give our game a try!
