In today's update, you’ll be able to explore the streets of Barcelona with the Delivery Driver DLC. This includes a new way to make money in Taxi Life along with normal jobs, company management and now package delivery. We talked a bit in our previous blog and did a deep dive on some of the main features of this update so, if you missed that check it out!
New Vehicle: The Victoris
The Delivery Driver DLC includes a new vehicle called the Victoris. It’s a powerful pickup ready to tackle package deliveries with ease. No worries, you’ll still be able to pick up regular passengers also.
(funfact: the Victoris was named after our 3D Artist,”Victor” - Shoutouts to Victor!)
New Game Mode: Delivery Driver
In this new game mode, you'll be able to pull up to any one of the new warehouse icons on the map. From there, you’ll be faced with a UI showcasing the deliveries. You’ll be able to pick and choose which deliveries to take based on the size of your vehicle. So for example, the Victoris will be able to hold 8 packages as compared to smaller vehicles which will hold less. We talked a lot about this and even answered some questions about it during our last livestream, so feel free to check it out!
Now it’s time to get to the nitty gritty. We have a good amount of actual patch notes to get through. So lets go ahead and take a look at some of the bug fixes and changes we made:
AI & World Adjustments
Pedestrian spawn rate slider added—so you can finally decide how many jaywalkers you want to deal with.
Parallax vehicles now properly break and get dirty instead of remaining pristine after collisions
Fixed an issue where passengers would appear below Parallax cars instead of inside them (we promise, no ghost passengers!)
Various small spoiler adjustments on certain vehicles
Stability & Bug Fixes
Fixed a crash when resetting perks
Addressed a bug where dialogues could stop working after canceling a Challenge
Mouse steering no longer interferes with the lean keybind
Fixed a bug where the game could freeze after multiple save reloads
Fixed issues with engine behavior in simulation + clutch mode
Other Additions
Added version number to the main menu widget
Various AI pedestrian logic tweaks (yes, fewer suicidal pedestrians)
Optimized backend FMOD updates for better audio performance
Fixes to in-cabin interactive panels for multiple languages
Fixes to clock display
Fixes to impact detection for AI vehicles
Fixes to experience bar calculations
Thank you!
Thanks for your continued support for Taxi Life. It’s great to see the community grow around our game and we’re looking forward to releasing more content for you. Make sure to join our official Discord channel and stay up to date on the latest news coming from our teams on socials!
We hope the new year has you off to a great start and you’re ready to come along with us for the ride to see what’s next to come for Taxi Life. In this post, we’ll be talking about some dates, what you can expect in the next patch as well as the new DLC that comes along with it. Without further adieu, let’s dive right in.
Release Date + DLC info
We’re excited to announce that the next patch is scheduled for release on February 13, 2025. This update will introduce a brand-new DLC available across all platforms.
New Game Mode: Delivery Driver
We did tease this a little bit on our social media and the eagle eye’d of you noticed that there is a new icon on the map. When you go to this icon, you’ll start the new cargo delivery mode where you’ll be timed on delivering packages to points on the map. So you’ll have to be quick, but safe.
Many of you have already mastered Taxi Life by completing it 100%, and we’re excited to introduce something fresh for you!
With the brand-new DLC, players can dive into the "Delivery Driver" game mode, where the challenge is to deliver packages safely and in the best condition (or at least try) avoiding damage along the way. New players, on the other hand, will have additional objectives to tackle while immersing themselves in the vibrant streets of Barcelona.
And what better way to explore the city than with a brand-new ride? The Victoris pick-up truck is here, ready to take on the demands of your delivery missions with style and efficiency. Get ready to experience Taxi Life like never before!
New Vehicle: Victoris
We’ve added a new pick-up truck into the game called the Victoris. Spacious, powerful and it has a cargo bed in the back making it ideal for picking up packages in the new delivery mode. Doesn’t mean that you can't pick up passengers in this beast also. But remember, with great power comes great responsibility.
Fixes and Improvements
AI Pedestrian
Yes, we know. AI pedestrians have been a pain in the…you know what.
We tried our best to improve them in previous patches and although we did see some good progress with the help of the community on making the AI pedestrians not try to kill themselves or worse…cause players to get ticketed. We decided that it would be a good idea to give you the option to turn the pedestrians completely off by a slider in the settings menu.
You can set that switch to 0 and BOOM….you are now living in a post apocalyptic world where Taxi’s have taken over and humans have gone extinct.
Other Changes and Improvements
Alongside those additions mentioned above, you can expect a good amount of bug fixes for some stuff that you guys have been asking us to fix for months now. So we wanted to thank you for your patience and support throughout this time.
You can expect fixes to the acceleration and engine behavior when using the throttle and shifting between gears. We’ll have more info on that in the patch notes on release day.
We actually are testing out a new bug reporting system on our Discord that we hope will streamline the process of reporting bugs and make it easier for our team to organize and prioritize reports, while giving you guys transparency and regular updates on the status of them. So if you encountered a bug while playing Taxi Life, join our Discord channel and let us know what you think of the new system.
Thank you!
Thanks again for being a part of the Taxi Life community. You guys motivate us to keep doing what we’re doing on a daily basis and we hope you can come along with us to see what we have in store for the rest of the year.

Patch 5 | OUT NOW!
Hello Drivers,
The day has arrived. The long awaited patch 5 is finally out and we’re happy to see all the hype surrounding it. If you want more details like videos and a deeper explanation of each feature we added we talked about everything in our previous blog here. Otherwise, let's dive into the notes.
NEW FEATURES
Photo Mode - We added a photo mode so our players can take dope screenshots of their pimped out vehicles like Xzibit. You can adjust the temperature, zoom levels, film grain and much more. Have fun!
Mouse steering - A long requested accessibility feature. This will allow players to use the mouse to more precisely steer the vehicle when playing with a mouse + keyboard.
Alternative quicklook - Now, an alternative quicklook mode will be introduced:
Quick Look OFF Right stick for free look. LB + right stick for quick look.
Quick Look On Right stick for a quick look. LB + right stick for free look.
You'll be able to find this switch in the settings menu and choose which style fits you best.
Hide the HUD + Center DOT - You can access this new feature in the System Settings > Video > Presence of HUD
Go back to Practice mode - Players that want to brush up on their driving skills in a safe and non-chaotic environment can now go back into the driving school and do so. Feel free to master those 3 point turns, without the intensity of other drivers honking at you.

Developer Blog #18 | Patch #5 update and what to expect
Hello Drivers!
Summer is almost over, but things are just heating up for Taxi Life. We’re working hard on bringing the biggest patch to date (this also includes consoles + steering wheels) and we’re here to show you guys some of the things you can expect. So let's dive in to see what you can expect in patch #5.
Photo Mode
Yeah, that's right - we’re adding photo mode into the next patch. We heard so many of our players say how awesome it would be to have a photo mode and take in all of the glorious scenes you experience while driving through the city of Barcelona. Now you’ll be able to take all the glamor shots of your pimped out people carrier that you need.
Need more practice? Go back to school!
Sometimes the streets of Barcelona can be tough for a Taxi driver. So why not give you the opportunity to go back and practice some of your parking skills? Or maybe you're having issues with doing a 3 point turn? Or MAYBE you just want to run over some traffic cones. Regardless, players will be able to go back to driving school to polish up their driving skills for the real world (in Taxi Life).
Mouse Steering
Mouse steering is something that has been mentioned by our players many times. For some it's an accessibility feature, for others it could just be simply a better way to drive and maneuver the car. With the new mouse steering feature, you’ll be able to find this option in the settings menu and enable or disable it.
Option to hide the HUD and center dot
We know that for a lot of players in our Discord, Steam and beyond the center dot can be more of a distraction rather than being helpful. So we’re giving you the option to disable it and along with that, the option to disable the HUD as well. We understand that players just want that completely immersive experience just driving around the city, with nothing else on the screen but the beautiful landscape and winding streets, this is for you those players! You can access these options in the System settings > Video > Presence of HUD
Alternative quick look features
The quick look feature remains unchanged but its accessibility is being improved. Previously, players had to press LB to use quick looks, which was fine, but not ideal for those who don’t need to look around often but rely heavily on quick looks (e.g., glancing left or right while turning).
Now, an alternative mode will be introduced:
Quick Look OFF Right stick for free look. LB + right stick for quick look.
Quick Look On Right stick for a quick look. LB + right stick for free look.
You'll be able to find this switch in the settings menu and choose which style fits you best.
Various bug fixes
Invisible curbs, peds not behaving how they’re supposed to (still) should also get a nice polish up for the next patch as well. We’re always working on making the game better with the feedback of the community so keep it coming - we’re always listening.
Thanks for being with us
We wanted to finish off with another big thanks to the community. Without you guys we wouldn’t be in the position we are in today with a 72% positive rating on Steam and with that, the game is also 35% off right now!
Also, we wanted to let our community know that we are in the final phases of QA testing, fixing, debugging and patching. Our team is working hard on getting this out ASAP but we need to be thorough as we want our drivers to have the best experience possible on all platforms when patch #5 launches.
As for the future of the game, expect more after patch 5. DLC and more vehicles are being worked on as we speak. More info on that after this patch when it launches.
