Game Update - January 2020 (v1.9)
Hello Everyone!
The first update of the new year lacks bells and whistles to be direct and up front. However, this update is essential to the upcoming updates throughout the rest of the year. We have refactored some code and game processes underneath the hood to help us progress a bit more aggressively for the remainder of the year.
In this update, we did fix some bugs as well.
Fixed a bug where running marketing campaigns did not finish its internal process internally. This manifests in the game in that the effects of marketing weren't realized on some marketing runs.
Code refactor that improves the implementation of some upcoming features
Code refactor that resolves a number of issues impacting game-play performance.
January Update
Hello everyone,
We apologize for the long delay in communication and updates. As promised, development has picked back up again with a change to the release schedule. We are back at it for the new year and ready to make a big push to deliver the final product. We had significant setbacks over the past few months/latter half of the 2019 calendar year.
We have now sorted through those setbacks and are 100% back in full development of the game Tech Executive Tycoon. You may have thought and believed that we were going to give up on the title, but that is the farthest thing from the truth.
We are going to publish an updated road map in the upcoming weeks. We will begin pushing updates to the game according to that updated schedule. We extend a heartfelt thank you to those of you who have remained confident and hung in there in spite of the delays. We will continue to work and make every effort to finish this title.

Development Update (October - December)
Hello everyone!
Today we wanted to share a development update. After a lot of thought and evaluation, we have decided to move to a quarter update release schedule. The reason behind this is both simple and complex. As we have been transparent from the beginning, I do want to share with you the details of what led to this decision and what you can expect going forward.
Reasoning and factors
Releasing updates each month presents some significant challenges that we had to battle throughout the year. The most important being the need to polish added content every month. As a result, we would release some updates that added more bugs to the game. In addition to this, it caused our released content to be lite, leading to disappointment about the progress of the game.
Going forward
We will move to releasing content over the course of 3 months at a time. This will give us a chance to cover more ground on each patch and have adequate time to test the game-play and features. Of course with game development, this does NOT mean that the updates will be bug-free, but our hope and goal is to eliminate the larger, more game breaking ones in each release.
So, with that said, we will start this release schedule immediately. The next update will release in January (due to the Holidays). So, the new schedule will be January, April, July and then October.
As always, we expect to deliver the final game as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience and we look forward to delivering the next update.
Development Update
Hello everyone,
Thanks for the continued support for this game. Without wasting any time, I want to share a development update. The last two months have been very light on updates and information. Progress was stalled due to unforeseen events that limited time that could be worked on the game. We have since resumed work and will publish an update to the road-map with plans laid out for the remainder of the year.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope to get back to our normal workflow and progress in October.
We know it may be quite frustrating, but our goal has been and remains to get the game completed in a timely manner. Please feel free to continue to share your feedback and thoughts with us over Discord and on Steam.

Marketing Refactoring - The code refactor for marketing employees took into account feedback and optimizations aimed to improve the overall marketing gameplay.
Marketing UI - The employee card UI will now reflect each employees current workload.
Added position specific employee card UI information to provide feedback of employee productivity.

Development Update (July 2019)
No update for the month of July
There will be no update for the month of July. We apologize for any inconvenience, however unforseen circumstances have delayed specific efforts taken in the earlier parts of the month. We are still working on the game and will update the roadmap to include what we will release in August all the way until the end of the year.

New Additions
Added employee functionality for the following roles
HR Recruiter - these employees are now responsible for the candidates you are able to recruit. They perform weekly scouting to increase your hiring options.
HR Administrator - these employees now actively manage and impact the happiness of your employees. There is still more work to be done on employee happiness however, which should be implemented in the short term.
Finance Accounts Payable - Pay company bills and help avoid late fees, etc..
Finance Accounts Receivable - Handles incoming cash from sales and other sources. They help ensure that you receive every dime your company is owed.
the next phase will cover the remaining roles (i.e. IT and Game Development). We ran out of time to adequately finalize and test functionality for those roles.
Added position specific employee card UI information to provide feedback of employee productivity.
Satellite office content pushed back a bit until more foundational details are finalized.
Bug Fixes
Fixed bug with Marketing UI window. Previously you would not be able to restart an existing campaign after updating. This issue was also partially present with the shipping UI.
Fixed the ability to relocate objects that were currently in use which would lead to other adverse gameplay effects
Fixed employees skills persisting.

Update 1.7g slightly delayed
Hello executives,
The upcoming June update will be slightly delayed for 1 week. We are working on finalizing and testing a few remaining employee UI and functionality before release.

Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where you could move or delete a printer while it was in use by an employee.
Fixed a bug where employee skills were not persisting.
Fixed a bug where employees would be able to be assigned multiple times, creating multiple instances of their avatars.
Desk clutter is now working in the game as intended. As employees workloads increase, this is reflected by the clutter that begins to collect on their desk (papers, etc..). This will be expanded further in the upcoming months.
Fixed some additional bugs with doors.
Fixed employee card UI. Skills now show on the window.
New Additions
Added new information on employee cards for Finance employees and HR Recruiters. This month is focused on employee functionality improvement and implementation. The goal is to have all employees functioning in the next few months. This will be an iterative process as we see what sticks and makes sense for gameplay. We will adjust things accordingly as with all aspects of the game. You're feedback will continue to be valuable.
