Developer's Note:
It has been a while since I launched an update for Teddy Terror and after a long period in a semi hiatus state I am proud to announce the launch of Teddy Terror's latest update during the Summer Sale with big changes!
The reason for me to release Teddy Terror on Early Access was to involve the community with the development of the game.
That being said I am trying hard to give you all a smooth gaming experience, and remove as much errors/bugs I can find. However this doesn't mean that the game is bug-free and I have really appreciated the feedback I have gotten so far to improve Teddy Terror and would love to hear your feedback on this update! I will try to fix any issue in the game as soon as I can.


Patch Notes:
In this update there are several big changes that I hope will improve the player's experience.

How skilled are you really?
Test your skills in the new challenging Game mode: Invasion Mode!
Synopsis: Your conscious needs your help to defeat the Sins!

Rules:

  • Clear waves of enemies
  • Dodge roll!
  • Destroy the shells containing the wave boss
  • Defeat the Sins
  • Each boss drops tokens and candies which you can use in the shop
  • Only activatable traps
  • No toys allowed
  • Perma-death without character levels
  • New score system: gain score based on performance
  • Each monster kill is worth 5 points
  • Each boss kill is worth 50 points
  • Each wave time out reduces 10 points
  • Each damage received reduces 2 points


ADDITIONS:
<*> NEW Score system: Currently applies to Invasion mode. Story mode will receive it's own scoring system in the future. For now the timer in Story mode has been removed.
<*> NEW: Added Damage system: now traps and weapons deal damage to monsters and bosses
<*> NEW: Monster HP, every monster has his own health bar.
<*> NEW Stats: Critical hit chance, Item Find. Critical hits deal 4x your damage. Item Find is the percentage to find drops like candy, hearts, keys.
<*> NEW Pickup item: Keys: collect keys from monster drops to open locked walls for special items in Story Mode!
<*> NEW Pickup: Souls - collect Souls to get experience in Story Mode.
<*> NEW Pickup item: Invasion Token : exchange invasion tokens for extra damage or full health in the Invasion mode shop.
<*> NEW Character Selection screen with character art!
<*> NEW Character: G-Chan - unlock this Funtastic character by collecting souls!
NEW Monsters: Several creepy monsters have been added to the game, with different skillsets.
NEW Bosses: Invasion mode brings a total of 8 unique bosses( 7 sins and their shell) with each their own skillset!

CHANGES:
<*> Boss health bar: a new visual style for the Boss health bar
<*> Boss room: added two small rooms where players can exchange candy or keys for additional items!
<*> Graphics: Improved visual style of the game.
<*> Controls: Pressing ESC twice in a row won't bring you back to the Menu. Instead pressing ESC pauses and unpauses the game. To Exit the game you either press E or END when paused.

KNOWN Issues:
<*> Music sometimes tend to mute after pausing the game. Currently working to resolve this.

FIXED Issues:
<*> Fixed the sound issue at Green Ogre boss and several others audio related issues.
<*> Fixed several visual glitches.

UNDER Development:
Currently I am working on several new functionalities:

  • Steam Leaderboard Ranking system
  • Controller Support
  • Save/ Load System
  • Additions to the Story mode

Teddy Terror on hold

Hello everyone,

First of all from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank everyone who has purchased and supported us with Teddy Terror.
Without you as the community Teddy Terror would have never come this far.
Thank you.


As you have noticed Teddy Terror has not been updated for several months now and It's kind of unfortunate to announce that we are currently on hold with the development of the game due to the lack of funds.

Until now I have self funded the development and marketing of Teddy Terror and sadly our funds and income are not sufficient enough to work fulltime on the development of the game.

That being said, I am looking for ways to fund the development of Teddy Terror and I do not intend to stop the development.

Teddy Terror will eventually be released, that is my goal and passion, it will only take a bit longer than anticipated.

I hope you can bear with me and still be able to support us during our development.

I have many ideas for the game that have yet to be realized.
New game modes, Rewards, Boss mechanics etc.

Patch v.1.06 Hallow's Terror! - Teddy Terror

We skipped v.1.05 and went onto Patch v.1.06 Hallow's Terror!


Summary:



Hallow's Terror - Celebrate Halloween with:

  • Improved Graphics
  • Lower starting difficulty
  • New Areas
  • Boss galore!
  • New Toys
  • New Monsters

Improved Graphics:



For the past couple of weeks I have been working on improving the graphics in Teddy Terror.
Our goal was to bring more visibility within the game itself and have a distinct style.
Therefore I made improvements with the lighting and added more elements to make each and every object pop.

Areas:

  • Every zone has been decorated with props, objects and shiny stuff!

    Characters:
  • We pushed the visibility of the characters with a black outline. Now you cannot lose sight of your character in the madness!


Hallow's Terror:



Fear Halloween in the new area: Hallow's Grave!
Face new monsters, use new traps and defeat the horrifying Hallow!

Lower starting difficulty:



  • I have lowered the difficulty of the first boss encounter to give players a better start throughout a single run.
  • Also the previous Easy Mode has been replaced with the 'Normal' tag, because that reflects the difficulty in this game a bit more.


New Areas:



  • Relic Wastes and Hallow's Grave
  • Players should now start in either Dark Woods or Relic Wastes.
    These are the two starting areas with each their own Easy first Boss encounter.

  • The other new area is Hallow's Grave, where the demon of Halloween resides.
    "Hungry for your soul, Hallow was once a man who has been reincarnated into the grave he used to rest in. Now he haunts the dreams of children in search of a young host to carry on his legacy."


Boss galore!:



Terror Gates:
  • To highten the anxiety before encountering a boss, I have added a special boss entrance room where players have a chance to take a short break before facing off their biggest fears.
    These rooms are equipped with breakable boxes (which can contain goodies) and once you enter the Terrorgate you will be taken to a random horrifying Boss.


New Bosses:

We added three new bosses:
  • Bombeye, Bananuts and Hallow.


Face off these giants and conquer your fears!

This will make a total of 12 different bosses with 5 more bosses coming in the next update!

New Toys:

  • Let your remote-controlled car loose, place your rubber ducky, take flight with your red balloon and face demons on the frontline together with your trusty green soldier!


New Monsters:

  • Take cover! I have added a total of 17 new monsters to the areas! Each categorized in their own difficulty range!



Challenge Mode delayed:
Unfortunately we ran into issues with the upcoming Challenge Mode, so this mode will be released in a future update. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Patch 1.05 Announcement (Early Access)

Hey everyone!

We are working hard on our next big update of Teddy Terror that you surely don't want to miss!

The patch is set to launch in the end of September and will be bigger than any of the previous updates!

The reason we are doing a big update is because we want people to be able to keep on exploring the game to a greater extent rather than small chunks of additions.

So be prepared for the upcoming big patch 1.05!

We will introduce some major features like:

- Challenge Mode
- More epic Boss battles
- Secret Levels

And much more that we won't reveal yet!


We are focusing on adding more content that will increase the playing time and more unlockable content!

Patch Notes 1.04b Teddy Terror: Play your favorite Character! + Fixes

Teddy Terror update 1.04b: Play your Favourite character! + Fixes



Characters:



  • We feel that since we are in Early Access we want to significally lower the requirements of unlocking Ed Jr., Nikki and D.Kid.
    Now players can access these characters faster while we are in Early access.(Note that in the final version of the game these requirements will be much higher than during Early Access).

  • Upon death the correct chosen character should now be displayed instead of Nikki, when unlocked.


Time:



  • WIP: We are aware of the issue that the run time displayed in the end screen was incorrect and did not reflect on the actual time played that run. We have made some changes in the script, but as for now we are not sure if the issue still persists and we are trying to find a solution to the problem.
    We really apologize for any inconvenience it may cause.

  • Fixed the issue of not gaining experience when defeating Terror Ted and completing the game.
    Now upon completion you should be able to level up, but not spend points yet.


Traps:



  • Per request I added a texture to the poison trap in Blood Chambers.

New Features: EXTRA CHARACTERS
• We added 3 new playable characters to the game which can be unlocked for simply collecting candy, killing bosses or collecting hearts. These characters are: Ed Jr. , Nikki and Delirious Kid(D.Kid) .
Characters are currently still in development, they are playable and unlockable but they will undergo several changes throughout future updates.
Characters do NOT have bonusses or alternative stats at the moment, this will be added in a future update.

Player:
• We added voice-over and short dialogues for the character that will be played during several occasions and situations.

Zones:
• We want to improve the graphics on every zone throughout the next few weeks. We started with improving the graphics in the Dark Woods. We really want the zones to stand out from each other. The Dark Woods should feel a bit more like a forest now.

Settings:
• In the options Menu you can now adjust the main Volume of the game
• When you click off-screen with the mouse the pause menu will automatically pop up. We hope this prevents players from dieing when they accidently click off screen.
• Tutorial mode now always shows the intro story text of the game.
• The game starts in fullscreen mode, but can be easily changed to Windowed mode(1280 x 720) in the options( this for a more suitable way to record footage of the game).

Toys:
• Lego bricks now cause a lot more hellish pain to monsters with a longer sustain rate.
• Marble toy has been buffed and gained more charges with a reduced cooldown.

Traps:
• Changed the appearance of the spinning trap in the Dark Woods level.
• Added one additional activated trap in the normal stages. We hope this will make the experience less stressful.
• -Added a Scythe trap.

Monsters:
• Monsters now have a set hp which allows them to get the correct amount of damage in every difficulty mode. This should give a smoother monster death and should give the player more control during harder difficulty modes.
• Bombs dropped from monsters also deals damage to other monsters

Patch: Early Access Version 1.03

We have updated the game to version 1.03.

Update notes:

- We have lowered the difficulty of Easy And Normal slightly.
Players should now be able to clear Easy difficulty at a much faster pace than before.
- We have added a Hard Mode for players wanting more challenge in the game.
- In Hard mode players can expect longer Boss battles where speed and precision are very important.

Fixes:

-The turtle companion was too powerful during bosses and has been altered.
Now toys and companions have no effect on Bosses, but are still very useful against normal enemies.

-Some of the graphics were too pixelated and has been retouched to have a more smooth transition.
