It also includes some optimisations (faster loads...), gameplay adjustments (prevent skipping death tiles, randomize survival spawns) and lots of smaller changes that you can find on the detailed changelog.

Here is a short list of the bigger changes we made in those past four months:

0.7.2 released - Christmas special
We have a Christmas surprise for you this year, open it!
It comes with a much more colorful server browser, demo marker indicators in the menus, a console option to use raw mouse inputs (inp_grab, now reverted to 0.6 by default), a surprise from Santa Tee and lots of fixes.
The Player and Tee ingame menus were also restored, so you can now select a different skin ingame, although it will only take effect after a reconnect.
Finally, the 0.7.1 release is here! We received a lot of feedback from the release candidate and the 0.7 beta/0.7.0, so it took a while to fix and polish it all. With the game smoothed out and stable, the downloads were updated here and on teeworlds.com.
The following is an attempt to list the most important changes since 0.6. You can also check the detailed changelog.
