Patch 1.0.1 is live across all platforms. Check out its contents here:
Improvements:
We’re carrying out a set of improvements to Tamer Pass experience gain:
Battles against NPC Tamers will now give Tamer Pass experience. This experience has been added to all of your passes retroactively. [**] While Weekly Challenges and endgame activities, unlocked after completing the story campaign, will still be the easiest and main form of progressing through the Tamer Pass, it was a mistake to leave people progressing through the campaign out of it.
With this change, completing the campaign and all side quests will give you ~15 Tamer Pass levels.
This new way of gaining experience will stop being granted at Tamer Pass level 20 and higher, in order to prevent (or avoid forcing) players to keep resetting their accounts constantly to farm this XP.
All forms of gaining Tamer Pass experience now give 70% more experience, including Weekly Challenges. This experience has been added to all of your passes retroactively, too. While some of the most dedicated players have already reached level 60 on the Pass, we wanted to improve the general feeling of progression on the Tamer Pass for the regular or more casual user. Our goal is that completing the Tamer Pass feels rewarding and is something achievable for the majority of users by dedicating some hours during the week. We’ll still be keeping an eye out for progression to see if there are any further changes needed. We’re also going to do some backend work so it’s easier in the future to change these values on the fly, without the need for a new patch.
We’ve fixed an issue on the recently added new Tempedia icons that offer information on OT and caught Tems, regular and Luma.
Some of you might’ve noticed the icons weren’t always accurate or consistent with what you had tamed in the past. It was missing pre-evolutions, or anything that wasn’t in the box at the time of the update. We’ve fixed all these and you should now see everything you’ve Tamed since the launch of Arbury, which is when we started keeping track of this data.
Balance
Economy
👥Telomere Trait Swaps can now be sold for Feathers: Telomere Hack – Trait Swap for 30 Feathers, and Telomere Hotfix – Trait Swap for 100 Feathers.
Evershifting Tower now gives 50% more Feathers.
After reviewing our analytics, the Feathers one could obtain by playing the Evershifting Tower were low compared to the amount of time invested. Although we believe the Evershifting Tower has a very steep learning curve, and that better and better runs will be achieved in the future, Feather reward was still far from where we wanted it to be, so we’ve boosted it.
The GritArena will receive a similar increase in Feathers in the next patch.
TemSafari now gives less Feathers. Since this is a formula and not a fixed number, we can’t give you an exact percentage.
Opposingly to the Evershifting Tower, analytics showed that the Feather gain was high for the time investment, and it was over the rest of activities and far from where we wanted it to be.

Deluxe edition & bundles now available + changes to Tamer Pass exp and rotation
The Deluxe edition is now available as an upgrade!
You can now grab these cool, exclusive sets of cosmetics and new emotes.
You can upgrade your base game from the Store Page, or through this link.
The full OST and digital Artbook are also uploaded on Steam now! If you really like Temtem and want to save a bit, there's now the Temtem Premium Bundle, which includes the Deluxe edition, the Artbook and the OST all together! Take a look at it here.
We've also made some changes to Tamer Pass experience gain and added its content to the Premium Store rotation.
We wanted to re-explain that although the Tamer Pass is focused on the end-game because that's where all the repeatable activities are, it is not locked to it. We want you to feel progression during the campaign as well, and this will help bridge that jump from campaign into endgame:
🔸 We're immediately and as of now doubling the Tamer Pass experience obtained from defeating and capturing wild Tems. 🔸 With the next patch, expected in around a week, we're going to be adding Tamer Pass experience from defeating NPC trainers, so you'll enjoy more progression during the natural course of your campaign. We're also figuring out how to grant this experience retroactively, but we're not sure it'll be a success so stay tuned for updates. 🔸 We are going to be including the content of the Tamer Pass in the rotation of the Premium Storea year after it has run its original course. This means you will still be able to obtain the items if you don't manage to complete your Tamer Pass in time, only it'll have to be a little later. We still want to reward people who conquer the challenge, but want to alleviate any FOMO problem the current system is causing.
We are still investigating and looking into experience gains. We've looked at all your posts and your math and are tweaking numbers around to make it so it feels better and is more enjoyable to you. Thank you for your patience until we really nail it!
Current issues are being investigated
We're investigating any and all current bugs including black screens, Kudos not appearing properly and Novas showing different pricing in store and in-game for some regions. Twitch Drops are slowly but surely reaching players, so that they'll get to you. Please use our forums to report any bug you might be experiencing so the team is aware of it. Thanks for your patience and understanding while we handle the release.
Talk to you soon! Hope you're enjoying Temtem 1.0!

Venture into endgame content.
If you're worried that the fun in Temtem will stop once you finish the main story quest, worry not! Loads of doors will open once you reach the endgame, from repeatable, high-difficulty activities like the Dojo and Archtamers rematches, to Co-op friendly content like the Mythical Lairs and the Digital Lair. Tamer's Paradise, the last island on the Archipelago, is home to a handful of new modes of playing that will put your skills and brains to the test:
Take the four Archtamers on consecutively and without changing up your team in the Archtamers' Sanctum.
Forge a four-Tem squad and constantly adapt it in the DraftArena.
Defeat as many enemies as possible while adapting to a list of requirements in the GritArena.
Face off against endless hordes of wild Temtem while having limited access to items in the TemSafari.
Explore the Evershifting Tower, a procedurally-generated, ever-changing dungeon where you'll have to build your team from scratch.
Select one goal Temtem and adjust the settings of the two-people DigiLair, and face off the boss in Co-op with a friend!
Founders Hall is the place where we honor our Founders, Kickstarter Backers who supported Temtem back in the day. Look for your statue and your friends'!
You'll be able to reach Tamer's Paradise once you've completed the main story quest, so go visit it later today at 4 pm UTC / 9 am PST / 6 pm CEST!
Temtem launches tomorrow! Rewards for Early players, and customization tip!
Temtem is fully launching TOMORROW! Can you believe it? It's been a long time coming, and we're beyond excited to finally reach version 1.0 of our game.
The world of Temtem is huge and there is always room for improvement. We're here to provide some guidance so that you are on your way to become the ultimate Temtem Tamer. Today: character customization.
Express yourself through your character
There are endless possibilities of personalization in Temtem, so you can be who you want to be! From choosing your body type, walking animation and pronouns, to all the clothing options, most of which can be dyed more than once, opening an incredible fan of possibilities. Take inspiration from inspecting the Tamers around you, or from story characters and NPCs.
Not only your character is customizable: you'll be able to choose from a range of Emotes that will convey what you're feeling to the rest of the world, cool Sprays to display your favorite Temtem or vibe, Temcard Seals that will make sure your Tems come out to the battle in style, or even Battle Intro and Outro animations that will make winning an even sweeter feat.
Temtem is finally leaving its Early Access phase tomorrow. What a time to be alive.
Remember the server will be in maintenance until 9 am PST/ 4 pm UTC / 6 pm CEST. Keep an eye out for our server status twitter account to get the latest news and info.
And also, for all our Alpha and Early Access players, we have made a little video to show you our gratitude! Included in it is a sneak peek to the exclusive titles for early supporters, and a little extra furniture that will mean something to you if you played before Cipanku.
2 days until full launch! Today we talk about the economy in Temtem.
Temtem is fully launching in just 2 days!
We're here to provide some guidance and give you as much intel as possible so that you are on your way to become the ultimate Temtem Tamer. Today: online economy.
A bustling economy
There are many ways to earn Pansuns, the main currency in the Archipelago, but not all of them are equally accessible. You'll be able to earn some Pansuns and Feathers by catching and releasing Tems through FreeTem!, by winning against the Dojo Leaders in the weekly rematches, and from selling stuff you might not need to either NPCs or other players. Although trading with other Tamers will open many doors in your adventure, be mindful of your Pansuns! You won't be able to access the Trade House, the Archipelago’s central marketplace, until you reach a certain point in the story, so that you can get a glimpse of your economic priorities before you can spend it all on cute Tems. Spend wisely during the first few hours of your adventure, and don't be afraid to walk back to a Temporium to heal instead of relying on healing items. Being Pansun-savvy goes a long way.
Also! Reddit AMA happening tomorrow at 10 am PST / 4 pm GMT! Find us on r/PS5, r/NintendoSwitch, r/Games and r/XBoxSeriesX to ask us questions on Temtem, Crema, or anything at all!
5 days until launch!!! Do you like your Temtem normal, or sparkly?
Temtem is fully launching in just 5 days now!
The world of Temtem is huge and there is always room for improvement, so we're here to provide some guidance and give you as much intel as possible so that you are on your way to become the ultimate Temtem Tamer. Today we talk about Lumas!
Careful about Lumas!
Lumas are the ultimate goal of many Tamers: a sparkly, differently-colored version of the Tem, with guaranteed adequate stats, and a minimum of three perfect stats. They're also fairly rare, so you should be in the right mindset when you walk into the hunt. The chance to encounter a Luma will be 1/7,500 in the 1.0 version of the game, and if that's just too much for you, we understand. There are a handful of strategies you can try if you want a shortcut:
To begin with, you will be able to obtain Radars in Tamer's Paradise, the endgame island. Radars are an item that will create 300 encounters with one Temtem species in particular, with bonus to their SVs and Luma chances as you progress through the encounters. You could also visit the Saipark on Deniz Island, which will feature two different Tems each week, alternating between increased stats and Luma chances. If you know your way around breeding you could also use the very valuable Luma fertility from any of your Lumas to create eggs with better chances of opening up sparkly. Lastly, if you can overcome the challenge, the DigiLair in Tamer's Paradise will let you obtain eggs from the Temtem of your choice that have significantly increased Luma odds. Whichever approach you choose, keep in mind it's all a matter of luck, so go easy on yourself!
6 days to full launch! Let's talk about combat basics in Temtem.
Temtem is fully launching at last! All the feedback provided and the lessons learned during the Early Access have led to this moment, and the Archipelago is ready to welcome all of our new and returning players.
Whether you're a new Tamer or a returning one, the world of Temtem is huge and there is always room for improvement. Since we know the game like the back of our hands, we're here to provide some guidance and give you as much intel as possible so that you are on your way to become the ultimate Temtem Tamer. We’ve summarized some of what you can do in Temtem and how to do it like a pro from what we've learnt during the Early Access period, and placed it into a handy list that anyone can enjoy and learn from.
Learn the basics of combat, and don't expect to always win
Combat in the Archipelago is tough and challenging so training a variety of Tems is absolutely necessary! Learning about Temtem types and their matchups is a must if you intend to win any battle.
Combat in Temtem has no RNG factor, so it's only you, your Tems and your knowledge of the situation that will earn you a victory on the field. Instead of the random factor, here are some of the factors in battle that you'll have to keep an eye out for: what Status Conditions are in effect? What Gears are the other Tems carrying? Do I have enough Stamina to attack, or should I rest?
Don't be afraid to switch your Tems in combat, and check your Battle Log if you really want to become the ultimate Trainer.

Cross-play and cross-progression confirmed + first look at Switch performance!
Hello, Tamers!
Although you Steam Tamers have already been enjoying Temtem's cross-play and cross-progression, a handful of new players will join us on launch date, September 6th! Xbox Series S|X and Switch players will be shortly joining the Archipelago, and we've been awaiting confirmation from the platform holders to know whether our cross-play/cross-progression systems would be okay. We just got the last confirmation we needed, so it's now official: ːsummer2019hornː All platforms will have cross-play and cross-progression on day one! ːsummer2019hornː
One question we were getting pretty often was: how does Temtem perform on the Switch? We worked a lot on optimization and performance improvements, and we can finally show you a gameplay video of an actual Switch playing Temtem!
For the spec-oriented players out there: the game uses dynamic resolution to keep a steady 30fps. This means it'll adapt to the circumstances and provide more or less resolution depending on how demanding the situation is. On a general note, however, the resolution while docked sits around 900p, going up to 1080p and down to 700p under very demanding circumstances, while undocked it sits very steadily around 720p, with occasional down points of 560p.
Please note this was recorded on a dedicated server without other players, so the actual world of launch day will be much more populated!
