Apathus Software is pleased to announce that Tenebrous Dungeon will be coming to MacOS in November 2019! Please add Tenebrous Dungeon to your wishlist to stay up to date on the official release date, as well as more news to come.
Summer Sale and Future Updates
Apathus Software is pleased to be part of the annual Steam Summer Sale. If you are into old school FPS games, now is a great time to get Tenebrous Dungeon for a low price.
I also would like to thank everyone who has purchased the game thus far. Currently we are focusing on a new project, so that has sidelined some of the planned updates for Tenebrous Dungeon by a couple of months.
Nonetheless, I have read some new comments and plan to jump back into TD very soon.
Thank you all for your patience,

Tenebrous Dungeon - "Show the Doors" Update v1.2.1
FEATURES
Added visibility for all doors on the mini-map.
Updated cheese sprite so it doesn't look like an orange.
IMPROVEMENTS
Doubled level up effects for the player.
Weapon balancing for wands and staffs.
Gameplay balancing for several levels.
BUGS
Fixed reload ammo bug so it accounts for a weapon's initial "loaded" state.
Fixed level up bug where the game would reset the player’s health to its original maximum if they consumed a lot of health upon achieving level 10.
DEVELOPER LOG
With update 1.2.1, Tenebrous Dungeon will now display all doors, locked or unlocked, on the mini-map. I really should have added this earlier, but I am very happy with how it turned out and hope you will enjoy it as well.
I also added minor gameplay tweaks and bug fixes based on some of the feedback for the game; as well as a fix to the weapon ammo system so it is accurate based on the weapon's current state.
That being said, thanks to all of you who have supported Tenebrous Dungeon thus far, and I plan to keep doing updates as regularly as possible.
Updated sprite shaders to handle the new shadow effect.
Improved tutorial level to include more information.
DEVELOPER LOG
This is the first major update for Tenebrous Dungeon since its release at the end of February. I want to thank everyone who has given their feedback on the game so far, I plan to do more updates in the near future.
To utilize the new shadows effect, go to Main Menu>Options and drag the slider labeled "Shadows" to adjust how dark you want the shadows to be.
For 1.2.0, I found a cool shader technique for creating shadows on 3D sprites while working on a new project that is still in early-development. Given some of the feedback on the eerie music of Tenebrous Dungeon, I felt it was a natural fit to give the user control over how creepy they wanted the game's atmosphere to be ːsteamhappyː.
Also, I heard some complaints on the tutorial, so I added more information that should flesh out some of the game mechanics a bit better for first-time players. Anyway, I hope all of you like the update, please follow this game or follow my twitter @ApathusSoftware for more updates in the future.
Thanks,
- Alex K.
