Who’s that hiding in the bush? It’s the Easter bunny, and he has masses of eggs for all our adventurers in tow. Open the egg and with a little luck you’ll get exclusive Darkan’s Pink Wings, the Hellfire Skill: Ancient Mighty Stygian War Gryphon, the Smart Box: Modern Popori Hanbok or the Partner: Lumikan (Superior).
The best thing is: you get to decide how far to push the envelope and when you want to open the eggs to receive your reward. Simply use the runestones from the Vanguard Initiative merchants to combine multiple eggs of the same level into an Easter gift. You can see how in the item overview. Now it’s also possible to skip multiple levels in one go when upgrading the eggs, getting you to the high quality eggs even faster.

* Collect Easter Eggs in all group dungeons from level 66 * Upgrade your eggs as far as you want * Transform them into Easter gifts using runestones from Vanguard Initiative merchants * Use the Easter Bunny Tokens from the Easter gifts to pick out even better rewards – such as exclusive Darkan’s Pink Wings, the Hellfire Skill: Ancient Mighty Stygian War Gryphon, the Smart Box: Modern Popori Hanbok or the Partner: Lumikan (Superior).
Item Overview
Easter Egg I
* Available in all group dungeons from level 66 (5 or 20 players) The Easter Egg I is the lowest level. This can be earned as group loot in dungeons, so everyone involved can get an egg. The chance of looting eggs varies according to the adventure coin costs of a dungeon.
By right-clicking you can attempt to upgrade your Easter Egg to an improved version. The higher the egg’s level, the better! Upgrading an egg will increase its level, but on failure its level may drop or the egg may crack into Broken Eggshells. It is even possible for levels to be skipped when upgrading. If the egg breaks, you can reform a certain number of eggshells back into an Easter Egg I.
Easter Egg II–VII
* Available through upgrading Right-click on the eggs to upgrade them. From level III you can combine multiple eggs into an Easter gift using an Easter Runestone of the same level. This gift contains your reward.
Easter Runestone III–VII
* Available from Vanguard Initiative merchants These runestones combine various numbers of Easter eggs of the same level into an Easter gift containing your rewards. Depending on the level of runestone, you’ll receive either a Small Easter Gift, a Pretty Easter Gift or a Magnificent Easter Gift.

User Interface Improvements
* Item levels and Adventure Coins are shown on the character selection screen. * Pit of Petrax can now be entered from the other capitals. * The presentation of various dialogs/hints has been reworked (e.g. extraction, sending post, leaving a party, and using items). * You can now zoom in and out of, hide, and turn the guides in instances. * Partner Adventures now give better feedback on why they can’t be started. * Instance matching information is now shown immediately in the lobby. * The appearance of health bars can now be adjusted directly by clicking on the class icon. * Box opening dialog * The “Confirm” button becomes “Close” once all boxes have been opened. * While the dialog is open, you can open a new type of box by clicking in the inventory without having to close the dialog first. * The option to turn off the interface (for yourself) via the game options has been added.

System
* The prioritization of resurrections has been revised: * “Auto-resurrect” and “Resurrections by other players” are shown first. Then comes Neophyte Resuscitation. * It is now also possible to use the “Unstuck” dialog when swimming. * The synchronization of the position on the compass and the mini-map has been adjusted. * Camera shake is now adjustable. * Channels for little-used zones have been reduced. * The levels of enemies that had been added to existing areas in Exodor have been adjusted.
Quests
* Various texts for quests, NPCs, and links to zones in chat have been adjusted. * Quests have been simplified to focus on the story and to reduce the need to teleport or run to different areas. * Various improvements have been made to tutorial quests and their completion. * Single-player Vanguard Initiative quests have been simplified.

The last patch brought you a new weapon and armor, and now you’re getting the gloves and footwear to go with it! You will find the background information in the news about patch 102, and differences and changes in the following sections: How to get the new gear:
The Kaia’s Soul set is an upgrade to Kaia’s Wisdom/Fury Gear. You need 10 Tyrant’s Belts and 5,000 Gold. How to enchant these items:
Kaia’s Soul Gear can be enchanted up to +9, but it will never lose an enchantment level that has already been reached. So if you have reached +8, you will be able to reach a higher level but you will never fall back to +7! Item Function Tyrant’s Belt: Upgrading, enchanting (0-9) Tyrant’s Soul: Enchanting (6-9) Magic Alloy : Enchanting (0-6), repairing (0-6) Magic Ingot : Enchanting (6-9), repairing (6-9)
Quests Skip
A feature has been added that allows players with a level 70 character to skip specific quests they have already completed when using a new character.
The following quests are affected:
Levels 1 to 11: Quests on Stepstone Isle
Level 65+: Awakening quests
Players are still sent the quest rewards per parcel post in the game.
Simplifications
Many level 65 to 70 quests have been improved so that they no longer contain unnecessary steps. This means that fewer enemies need to be hunted in order to complete them.
Additionally, the item levels of some dungeon quests have been adjusted.
New Daily Quests
Three new Vanguard Initiative quests have been added, which reward you for completing one of the following actions on the islands of Exodor:
Gathering shells at Exodor Fishery.
Defeating the BAM on Exodor’s outer islands.
Defeating the dragon on Exodor’s outer islands.
Other Improvements Skill Advancement
Fewer scrolls are now needed to advance and unlock skills.
Partners
Increasing the fellowship of a partner has been simplified as simple increases have been removed. For example, you can no longer receive a fellowship increase of just 3 points between levels 3 and 4! Additionally, when leveling up a pet using an evolution stone, you will now definitely receive a partner.
Open World Exodor
You no longer need the Azart Elixir effect to fly to the Exodor Archipelago or use jump gates. Any remaining potions can be sold to merchants for Gold. Both the placement and the behavior of monsters on Exodor have been adjusted so that they no longer roam the streets and don’t attack players so often. Additional opponents have been place in zones where there were previously very few opponents. Monsters should no longer stun or stagger players. The attack speed of regular opponents has also been reduced by 20%.
Essenia
Flight altitude has been partially increased.
Items
There have also been some changes to existing items:
The cooldowns of various items have been reduced. This applies to etchings, pet treats, potions for production points, and skill advancement scrolls. The character level required for halidoms and relics has been reduced to 65.
Kaias Wisdom/Fury
When enchanting this gear it will no longer fall back a level. Card Fragments
Two new cards have been added to the new dungeon—each in all three rarities. The chances of a successful card fragment fusion has been increased. The sale value of some card chests has been reduced. The chance of looting card fragments in dungeons has been increased.
Etchings
Temporary etchings made between patch 99 and 102 are now being converted so that:
30-day etchings turn into a permanent version. 60-day etchings turn into 2 permanent versions. Even etchings that have already been applied to equipment will be converted during the server maintenance, but ONLY if they haven’t expired yet by that time.
Ancient/Mighty Frost Monarch
These are the adjustments made to the Stormcharge active skill due to the Exodor changes:
Previously: You received a effect that allowed you to fly on Exodor and use jump gates. Now: You are given a Bravery effect (identical to the Bravery Potion) for two hours, which increases the damage of your skills and your attack speed. The damage you take is also reduced. Additionally, your flight energy depletes more slowly, so you can fly for longer than with other flying skills! The new effect cannot be used in conjunction with regular Bravery Potions. All other details of this flying skill remain unchanged. The change will be automatically applied during server maintenance.
Battleground Changes Gridiron
The crystals that grant you a buff have been placed at the starting positions of both teams. The treasure chests have been placed at random in the arena. Find and destroy them and they’ll grant you a random buff. Once the special crystal appears in the center of the battleground, all players will continuously receive a debuff that increases damage taken by 7.5%. This effect can be stacked up to eight times. Additional rewards have been added that can be obtained by the best five players on each team.
Miscellaneous
The Vanguard Initiative Quest display has been changed so that quests that you have removed from your tracker are no longer automatically added again when a monster is killed or progress is made.
The position of the minimap is no longer reset when logging in again.
Inventory sorting has been improved.
Finding the name of an item in the inventory has been improved.
The Create Match window in instances has been improved so there is more space to display various elements.
It now only takes five seconds to return to character selection.
The layout of card fusion has been improved.
The layout of the event calendar window has been improved.
Feeding pets to increase their stamina has been improved.
It is now also possible to search the bank and pet inventories using text input.
Regional Event Dungeon
Harrowhold The dungeon,all event NPCs, related token and chests will be removed during server maintenance. Please make sure you have exchanged all your tokens in time!
Additional Information
All "Fire Demon's Tome" related tokens and chests will be removed during server maintenance.
Fishing:

Preview: Gardan of the Ice
Dying to know what’s in store for TERA? This preview gives you a short taste of what’s coming up in patch 103. Look forward to the new Killing Grounds instance, where you’ll face off against a seriously brutal final boss. Plus test your mettle in Lumikan’s Trial in The Catalepticon. The patch also brings promised improvements to etchings, and many other changes.
New Dungeon: Killing Grounds
Already cut Lumikan down to size? Then it’s time to take Gardan to task. This seasoned warrior has earned a chilling reputation in Killian’s icy arena. Enter the Citadel of Torment in Westonia to enter the arena and challenge the new boss… if you have the guts! Gardan is a berserker who employs an array of icy attacks to bring the pain. Watch out when he goes apoplectic, and be prepared for his attempts to lock you and your companions in a dome of ice. This shrinks the combat area and lets Gardan get up close and personal – just the way he likes it! The boss is accessible to all players in normal and hard difficulties.
Kaia’s Soul Gear – Hand and Footwear
Last time you got access to the new weapons and armor. Now patch 103 brings the matching gloves and footwear! You can get this gear in the same way as before, but there are new required materials which need to be collected in Gardan’s dungeon!
Etchings

Event: Battle Pass – Season 8
Complete missions, fill your Battle Pass and unlock different reward levels – earn recognition for your dungeon runs, battlegrounds, cooking and other skills in this event.
Complete different missions each day and earn Battle Points in reward. You can take your BP to Master Iaito in Highwatch and exchange them for ever better reward chests, up to the fabulous Ultimate Chest.
Whoever successfully completes the season will get a **Lethal Intent Potion** from the final rewards chest. This can be used repeatedly for 30 days to produce a magical and sinister fog effect around you.
Event Period
The event runs until **23rd February 2021** (10 AM CET, 4 AM EST).
Starting Missions
Each day you’ll receive a mission briefing one minute after logging in for the first time. This will contain 4 random dungeon missions, one random solo mission, one crafting mission, plus a ticket for a battleground or dungeon mission of your choice. Each mission is embodied by an item in your inventory which will remain in your possession for up to 12 hours. You can receive additional missions at the weekend for your time online. During the week, you’ll receive extra Battle Points instead.
Completing Missions
To complete a dungeon mission, you require a token from the respective dungeon. Each final boss will drop one token per party member, i.e. you’ll need to complete the dungeon just once. Collect your token from the boss and then right-click to complete the mission. You’ll earn BP in reward. The same applies for battleground missions.
Solo missions can be completed in the same way. In this case, however, you earn the tokens from Vanguard Initiative quests instead of from the dungeon boss.
Right-clicking on crafting missions opens a window in which you’ll need to drag the amount of silex, meals or plates. Once you’ve done that, the mission will be complete and you’ll receive your BP.
Rewards
The BP you earn can be converted into reward chests from Iaito in Highwatch. Each chest (with exception of the Ultimate Chest) contains a reward and returns the BP used to open it. That means your BP level remains unchanged and you don’t have to start back from scratch after each chest. You can only receive each chest once.
Iaito also has a selection of golden reward chests available. These work exactly the same as the regular reward chests, except that you need a **[Battle Pass] Gold Key** from the TERA Shop to open them. This key will open all the golden reward chests without being consumed, so you only need the one key to open all the chests.
Once you’ve collected all the rewards, you can convert your BP into an Ultimate Key, unlocking further bonuses. More details can be found further below.
You can still receive bonus rewards after opening all the reward chests by converting your BP into an Ultimate Key. This can be used to open Ultimate Chests which Iaito will give you for 1,000 BP.
Just like the Gold Key, the Ultimate Key is not consumed on use, so you can continue opening chests as long as you have enough BP. Each Ultimate Chest contains 100 Ultimate Coupons which can be exchanged for awesome bonus rewards. Owners of a Gold Key get an extra bonus, as they can also open the box inside each Ultimate Chest containing another 100 coupons.
If you convert your BP into an Ultimate Key too early – meaning that Iaito still has unopened reward chests for you – he can give you a Key Grinder which will break your Ultimate Key back down into the full amount of BP.
Event Items Exclusive to the Tikat Shop
If you want to make the most of the event, you can visit the Tikat Shop and buy 300 BP or [Battle Pass] Selection Dungeon Tickets to get more missions to complete.
Note:
The items belonging to the current season will be deleted before the next season starts, so please use them before this time. This does not affect rewards received (e.g. Ultimate Coupons).
