Patch Update (v0.1.10)

Hello,

A quick announcement to share that the latest update (0.1.10) is now live!

-Fixed monster nest POI not spawning monsters
-Fixed a loading bug affecting some save files not loading
-Some performance tweaks. While optimization is still not 100% complete, there have been a few tweaks that should make the game run smoother than before on most machines. Some may still experience some slight stutter when moving to new areas - this will be ironed out soon.
-faster startup load time when starting the game
-Reduced the total file size of the game down to 7.6GB from the previous 9GB
-Reduced the amount of average RAM needed to run the game by around 2GB. This was achieved by compressing/decompressing some assets where applicable to reduce overhead
-Optimized some graphic textures to reduce strain on GPU
-Fixed some performance bottlenecks that caused random CPU spikes and crashes
-other slight tweaks and smaller bug fixes

Cheers!

Patch Update (v0.1.08)

Hello,

A quick announcement to share that the latest update (0.1.08) is now live!

-Added a "Disease System", diseases can be contracted from being attacked by some types of enemies. Diseases have different effects and there are currently six implemented. Diseases remain until they are cured, and can be removed by finding a "Vaccine" item purchasable from vendors currently
-Crossbow bolts have an impact sound when hitting terrain, meaning some nearby enemies can hear it and investigate
-Vendors now have finite amounts of cash on them, which changes as you buy and sell with them, making trading more realistic.
-the "Barter" perk now also affects how much cash vendors have to trade
-Added new weapon: "Cast Iron Crossbow", craftable with iron ingots and string
-Biome landscape scenery changes:
-Swamps have thick green fog/smog to look more "swampy"
-Tundra biomes have more bare, dead trees and dead shrubs/foliage to give a better wasteland
appearance
-Desert biome has more dead plant foliage
-Added a new wild berry, "Edage Berry" which is commonly spread throughout plains and forests as an easy to find food source
-String can be found in cave chests
-Fixed Lightning rod sound effect heard anywhere on the map no matter how far away
-fixed snow trees not playing woodcut SFX on hit
-other minor tweaks and bug fixes

There will be another update again in a few days times to fix more bugs reported this and late last week in the steams discussions page. We will also begin making some optimization tweaks to gradually improve performance for all machines.

Cheers!

Patch Update (v0.1.07)

Hello,

A quick announcement to share that the latest update (0.1.07) is now live.

-New Perk: "Archery" affects damage with bows/crossbows
-New Weapon: Crossbow - can be bought from vendors or crafted with wood, steel, and string. They don't make noise to alert enemies, use bolts that can be picked back up, and can be fun to use and play with as archery weapons will require skill with aiming (i.e aiming above foes at long distances so the arrow comes back down and hits them)
-For every ten levels you level up, you start receiving an extra perk point per level. So after your first ten levels, you start receiving +2 perk points for each level, after 20 levels you start receiving +3perk points for each level, and so on until (until a maximum of 10 per level).
-Fixed a bug where dropping any item causes you to unequip your current weapon
-Fixed a bug where diving too far underwater causes you to freeze and glitch out
-Fixed a bug where you still drown when resurfacing from underwater if your stamina depleted
-Added loot for the Red Giant mini-boss
-All bosses (including the red giant) will drop better additional loot, including rare items such as blueprints/elemental batteries and weapons with a 50% chance of having an augmented effect
-Fixed Scelox boss (big snake in plains biomes) no death animation bug
-Replaced the sound effects of mining and woodcutting
-Added more non-marker/non-main POI stuff across the map such as abandoned wagon carts, wells, dropped boxes, etc. Basically, unique little interesting things spread across the map, but not interesting enough to have their own POI marker.
-minor other smaller tweaks...

There will be another update again in a few days times to fix more bugs reported this and late last week in the steams discussions page!

Cheers!
