Post-Update: HotFix 01

Dear players,

Thanks to your bug reports, we were able to identify and fix several issues found in the updated Terra Alia game. We appreciate your support and cooperation in helping us improve the game. Please continue to share your feedback with us so that we can make Terra Alia even better for all of our players. Thank you!

Fixed issues:

  • Occasionally, when practicing Dialogue Challenges on the ATM, the NPC's may not possess the accurate method for regaining Lingua. As a result, completing the exercise may decrease the Lingua instead of increasing it.
  • At times, the comparison of equipment stats may be displayed in green color even when the new stat is lower than the previous one.
  • After a battle, the fog of war on the map may get reset unexpectedly.
  • Sometimes, when exiting the game, the medals earned might not get saved accurately.

Terra Alia: Update 2.0!

INTERFACE:

More graphic options have been added, such as changing screen resolution, screen mode, and antialiasing.
Support for ultra-wide screens has been added.

GAMEPLAY:

Players can now zoom in and out with the scroll wheel of their mouse.
ATM automatic translations can now be turned off.
Several bugs and blockers that occasionally occur on side quests have been fixed.
Numerous other improvements and fixes have been implemented based on player feedback.

DIALOGUE CHALLENGES:

Dialogue Challenges have been updated to include three easier exercises before taking the more challenging test.
Tests now consist of translating a question and then answering it.
Rewards are now given based on the number of exercises completed on a given character.
The hint system now unlocks all possible hints on a given exercise instead of just one word.
Completing all tests is no longer necessary to progress. Obtaining one reward allows the player to advance.
Each reward level now grants the player a Bronze, Silver, or Gold medal, depending on the character.
The inventory screen and map now track how many Gold Medals the player has obtained.
Characters that disappear after their Dialogue Challenge will leave behind a Hologram version of themselves, allowing the player to obtain the Gold Medal.
Linguistic tips have been added to Dialogue Challenges, explaining some basic theories of the grammar of each language.
The option to play without Dialogue Challenges has been removed.

COMBAT:

A visual indicator has been added to show the zones where random encounters can occur in the University Campus, City Downtown, and the Desert Dungeon.
A new Tech Spell has been added, providing more crowd control options.
Combat has been rebalanced, adjusting the resistances, power, spell pool and cost of some enemies.
A new timeline indicator has been introduced in combat to improve the readability of the current state of the encounter, with three different options to visualize it.

Update 1.2 - New Game Modes

Thank you for your continued support of our game. The feedback you provide is helping the team improve Terra Alia and maximize it's potential.

We are introducing a new way to play the game which we are calling Vocabulary Mode. This will allow the player to have a more traditional gaming experience since the dialogue challenges are no longer required. We still left vocabulary in the game because our vision for the game is to still introduce players to a language they would like to learn while still playing a game.

Players can also opt for playing the game the way it was meant to be played in Dialogue Challenge mode. We want to encourage players to use this mode to get the full experience.

Terra Alia is fundamentally a language learning game. We want players from all over the world to enjoy the game, and to experience a new language. There are over 100 language pairings available and around 400 vocabulary words to discover in each language. We are actively updating and reacting to your feedback and look forward to your continued support.
